'The Big Bad Book of Bill Murray: A Critical Appreciation of the World's Finest Actor' by Robert Schnakenberg is a compendium of short facts about Bill Murray from A to Z.

Starting with an entry for About Last Night (Murray was considered for the Rob Lowe part at one point), and ending with Zombieland (where he was the 10th person considered for the role), we learn about Bill Murray in non-sequential, but alphabetical way. There are entries about his early job as a caddy, and how difficult it is to ask him to be in one of your movies. Sprinkled throughout are the stories of parties he's crashed and weddings he has photobombed. He really is a unique individual.

I would have preferred a more linear approach, and based on the number of sources in the back, it seems like these stories have been fairly widely known. Bill Murray himself had no direct involvement in the book. It's a fun enough read on a light level for fans of Mr. Murray.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Quirk Books and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

This was a wonderful, very thorough investigation of Bill Murray's professional career. I'm a big fan, and I found out a lot I didn't know! I highly recommend this book.
