Zaria Carter is a ten-year-old entrepreneur with big dreams and a bold personality—but when a new student threatens her popularity and business, she faces one of her toughest days yet. A Bossy Bad Day captures the chaos of ambition, friendship, and growing pains with humor and heart.

Zanaiah Williams delivers a relatable, energetic story for middle-grade readers, especially those interested in business, leadership, or social dynamics. Zaria’s voice is authentic, her struggles feel real, and her determination is inspiring. The book teaches valuable lessons about accountability, teamwork, and self-awareness without ever feeling preachy.

I like the narrative and the set-up. It is quite modern and a nice one time read. But I felt that the book lacks the growth arc of characters and storyline falls flat in places.

This was fun, very very Gen Z for my Millennial brain! I enjoyed the main character, and the plot was cute!
