I'm somewhat conflicted, while I enjoyed the concept of this book and the level of detail it felt like something was missing.
The descriptions were detailed and had you fully immersed, but the relationships between characters was a little confusing particularly between the siblings and Lark (at least for me). There were parts of their interactions that didn't seem to do much to move the story along.
All that being said, the plot was good and I think the story has some good bones. I don't usually go for gothic style novels but appreciated the feel of it all.

Tenderly, I am Devoured has so far been my favourite book of the year. I am surprised by this? No. Especially considering Lyndall Clipstone is one of my favourite authors and I will read anything she writes.
The writing in this book is so flowery and lyrical. The gothic atmosphere is perfection being filled with devotional practices, sea gods and priests. An unconventional romance being represented. What more could you want!
For anyone looking for a romantasy that feels different, this is it.

I absolutely ate this up, I loved every second of it
The story follows 18-year-old Lark, who has just been expelled from her prestigious school to find her family on the edge of financial ruin. To avoid this, she agrees to marry a god and after things go a little haywire, she enlists the help of her two childhood friends, her first heartbreak Alistair and his sister Camille.
I had heard soo much about this book and was soo excited when I was accepted for the ARC. I had high expectations and this definitely delivered.
Thanks for the opportunity to read this ARC, I’ve already preordered the physical copy releasing 1st July

I really enjoyed the writing style of this book! It was ethereal and definitely added to the mystery and blurring of reality. The plot I feel could’ve been stronger and I didn’t really get the romance component - having both siblings have a romance with the FMC was odd for me. Overall, I enjoyed the book

Tenderly, I Am Devoured by Lyndall Clipstone
Thank you to Netgalley and Lyndal Clipstone for the opportunity to read this ARC. The title & cover were what drew me to this book, the cover artist did an absolutely amazing job.
This book starts a bit slow but does pick up towards the end. The world building is unreal you can see what is being described. The characters were good but lacked a little bit at the same time especially Camille.
Love triangle, polyamory, LGBTQ, dangerous connection to an ancient sea gods, dark academia-ish,YA fantasy with gothic vibes.

Moody and monstrously gothic folk horror in which a young woman must bind herself to a dangerous chthonic god with the help of the son of a rival family to save her familial legacy from ruin. A romantic folk horror that is intoxicating as chthonic liquor and as unstoppable as the haunted tides. Featuring a polyamorous bisexual romance, lush prose, and flower-threaded horror.
