I enjoyed this book! This is the first time that I have read any of Kristen Ashley’s work but it will not be my last. I really cannot believe that I waited so long to read her work. This book is a part of the Chaos series but I read it as a stand-alone and thought that it worked well on its own. I was hooked by this story almost immediately and quickly fell in love with the characters. I am so glad that I finally got around to reading this book!

Joker and Carissa were wonderful together. I liked seeing them as teenagers at the start of the book and seeing how much their lives had changed when they meet again years later. Joker and Carissa don’t seem to have a lot in common on the surface. Joker works with cars and is part of the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Carissa is recently divorced with a baby and trying to get by on her job at the local grocery store with next to no help from her ex-husband. But Carissa and Joker just work. She fits in with his friends right away and he does whatever he can to help her and is not intimidated by her ex. The chemistry between them was fantastic and I loved how they became a unit so quickly.

I thought that Kate Russell did a great job with the narration. I believe that this is the first time that I have listened to her narration but I enjoyed her reading from the start. I thought that she helped to bring these characters to life and added a lot of emotion into the reading. She had a very pleasant voice that was easy to listen to for hours at a time. I do believe that her narration added a lot to the story and look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.

I would not hesitate to recommend this book to others. This was a wonderful romance filled with wonderful characters who actually communicate with each other. My only complaint would be that the book was probably a bit longer than it needed to be but overall it was a great read. I look forward to reading more of this author’s work in the future.

I received a digital review copy of this book from Forever (Grand Central Publishing) via NetGalley and purchased a copy of the audiobook.

I haven't read a lot of Kristen Ashley's books but I have most definitely enjoyed the ones I have read. I love that her books are about her characters going through a redemption process and always coming out stronger. This book is no exception. This is a heartfelt second chance romance, I love them but they can do better then me kinda story. It can be read as a standalone but I think it's more enjoyable if you read the pervious books first.

Great character building and redemption, I loved seeing all my favorite Chaos characters plus some from other series. KA knows how to write a great back story and draws you in from page 1. Plus, we get our Epilogue, though a little shorter than other books, it was still wonderful.

I loved Carissa and Joker's book! Their story was emotional and heartbreaking, yet I knew that these two belonged together. I couldn't get enough of the history between them, and it just made the present that much more. These two were easy to feel connected to and as with the rest of this series I never wanted to leave their world behind! Chaos is probably my favorite series by Kristen Ashley, though honestly I love them all! If you love sexy and sweet alpha MC hotties that would do anything for the women they love, this series is an absolute must read! This is one series that I will read over and over and never get sick of!

The Queen! She can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned. On my bucket list of authors to meet. KA writes an alpha male like no other. The covers are always so blah though. Hire Sarah Hansen or Ang Lee to do a few of your covers please.

This author does it to me all of the time. She has such good advice and feeds it to her readers thru strong male characters and equally strong heroines. This book is full of life lessons, love counseling and steamy love sessions.

Oh gosh, I don't even know how to start this review. This was epic and amazing and lovely and awesome and wow you just have to read it. Joker and Carrisa are such a cute couple and I love how Carrisa wants what's best for Joker and does weird and fun things for him because she loves him so much.
I adore how the other woman in the series take her under their wing and make her part of the family with or without Joker.
I love seeing how Joker grew up and because this awesome man and I think he is my favourite Chaos guy in the series to date for sure. He's just awesome!
Kristen Ashley's series just gets better and better and better and I love her writing and the sense of humour she adds to the characters.
Ride Steady can totally be read as a standalone and as part of the series depending on how you fancy reading it. Which I greatly enjoy because it means I can dip into whichever book in the series I want and I read this at least once a year if not twice since I first read the book in 2015.
Seriously a total must read even if your not a fan of the series!

Carson, "The Joker", has been dealt a bad hand from the word go. A mom that abandoned him before he could even crawl, an abusive dad that made think he was worthless and just an all around rough start on life. Carson could not stand up to his dad because he needed somewhere to stay and food to eat. Carson tries to keep himself busy with things that make him happy and watching Carissa was one of them. When Carson was finished with school, he had finally had enough and left his past behind him. All this on the same day that Carissa finally got the nerve up to ask him to go get a Blizzard with her on that day. Carson knew he had to turn her down because he would infect her with his darkness if not.

Carissa was one of the popular kids in high school. She was a cheerleader, had a popular boyfriend (even if she was just with hm because she couldn't get the attention of the real guy she had a crush on) and had plenty of friends. With all this going for her, Carissa was someone else on the inside than what she made everyone perceive on the outside.

Carissa ended up marrying her boyfriend even though it was a just because thing. When her husband at the time decides that he wants to replace Carissa with someone else, he puts her out while she is pregnant. What is she going to do now?

Carissa finds herself on the side of the road with a flat tire and no one seems to want to stop and help her. And she has her baby boy with her. When after what seemed like forever, a biker finally pulls over to help her. He seems so familiar to Carissa but she can't put her finger on where she might know him from.

When Carson realizes that this is the Carissa he blew it with eight years ago, he knows he can't let her go again. When these two get together finally, it is like they are trying to make up for lost time. The chemistry between them is explosive and leave you fanning yourself. Carson is so protective and cares for Carissa so much. That was so nice to see.

This was a great Motorcycle Club read and the MC characters all really have big hearts. I fell in love with the main characters as well as all the supporting characters. The story flowed really well and these two got a second chance at love. Well done Kristen Ashley!

Ride Steady is one of my favourite Kristen Ashley books. It's sweet and funny but deeply emotional and incredibly sexy. I've read it numerous times and never fail to fall deeper in love with the characters.

Ride Steady (Chaos, #3)Ride Steady by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Carissa Teodoro knew what she wanted in life, to marry someone she loved, be a mother, and be the best wife she can be to her husband. Carissa thought she had it all until her highschool sweetheart, now ex husband kicked her out while she was pregnant to hook up with someone else. As if that wasn't bad enough, the ex seems determined to try to get full custody each time he takes her to court. Now her crappy card has a flat and she is stranded by the side of the road with her baby, enter Joker.

Joker recognizes Carissa right away and while thy have not seen each other in years it rubs him the wrong way that she doesn't recognize. Joker knows he has changed since high school but she was the one girl he wanted and knew he couldn't have. Carissa is everything sweet and beautiful, while Joker is dark and had to find his own way. Carissa though seems to think she needs to repay Joker for his kindness and despite how hard he tries to stay away he realizes he has a chance at having something he never had before, a family.

Loved this. Carissa and Joker are complete opposites but they work. I loved that Joker has a nurturing side when it comes to Carissa and especially her son. Wanted to kick Carissa's butt, he was a jerk and just selfish. All the favorites are in this book, had some really funny moments. Another great Kristen Ashley read.
