Unfortunately, Can’t Get Enough didn’t land for me. While I usually appreciate Kennedy Ryan’s layered storytelling, this book felt disjointed and didn’t fully explore the themes that were present. I I was particularly disappointed by how it portrayed Hendrix's choice to be child-free, as he iss a child-free-by-choice individual. The narrative seemed to frame choosing not to have children as something to be fixed or changed, rather than a valid life choice that deserves respect and visibility. Which is extremely redundant in the conversation around the topic. It felt like a missed opportunity to present a perspective that’s still underrepresented in romance.

The caregiver subplot, which could have added emotional depth, ended up feeling like an afterthought. Instead of being meaningfully integrated into the story, it was treated more like a background detail than a central element that shaped the characters or their journey. As a former caregiver to someone who deals with dementia, this part really fell flat. Instead of me feeling the emotions that Ryan so clearly wanted me to feel, it was not personal at all because Hendrix was away from her mother for the majority of the book. So when we do get these scenes, it almost feels like facts that one should know about Alzheimer's.

I also could not stand the MMC. I have my personal opinions on Black billionaires (yes, that distinction is important). You will know why once you read, and Ryan did not make it any better. The transition from becoming successful and then almost going bankrupt from a sports betting app to then investing in marijuana and THEN becoming the billionaire that he is today was super wack. Framing marijuana investment as a kind of ownership or empowerment for Black people rings extremely tone-deaf, especially when so many Black individuals are still criminalized for the very same industry. The book doesn’t engage with that reality in any meaningful way, which made that plot point feel superficial and out of touch.

Overall, Can’t Get Enough didn’t give me what I was hoping for from a Kennedy Ryan book. As this was one of my most anticipated reads of the year, it just fell flat.

Kennedy Ryan knows how to write a love story with heart and substance! Her smart, independent women and strong, tender men keep me coming back for more every time. Hendrix is navigating business, caregiving, and opening her heart to love. Maverick is on a mission to prove himself worthy with his actions. This is a heartfelt, timely story.

Thank you, Kennedy Ryan, Hatchette Audio, and NetGalley, for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this audiobook! The sound quality was excellent. The narrators, Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem, did a great job bringing the characters to life.

As a huge fan of Kennedy Ryan, I was so ecstatic to read this book. I couldn’t wait to get the final installment of the Skyland series, and have been counting down to get Hendrix’s boon since last spring. And let me tell y’all - it. Did. Not. Disappoint. You’ll laugh, cry, and feel all the feelings in between.

Hendrix is a powerful businesswoman and agent to the stars. On top of her busy schedule, she is also giving care to her mom from afar and coming home as often as she can. Mav is a billionaire tech mogul that is fresh off a breakup when he stumbles into Hendrix and they form an instant connection.

Kennedy Ryan has a way of building characters that make you instantly fall in love with them. Mav and Hendrix were incredibly swoon-worthy - and the slow burn built the anticipation so well. Not only that, but Hendrix was a wholly complete character outside of her love interest. Of all the Skyland women, Hendrix has been my absolute favorite. I loved Ryan’s deep care crafting the experience of Hendrix caring for a mom that has Alzheimer’s. It was heartbreakingly real and so thoughtfully done. I also adored the support system that Hendrix had - and all the female empowerment that came from it. I really couldn’t have asked for a better way to end this trilogy. Do yourself a favor and read this book (and series), if you haven’t already.

Thank you to Hachette Audio and NetGalley for the ARC!

Kennedy Ryan really outdid herself with this one. “Can't Get Enough” was everything—and then some. Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem didn't just narrate this book, they brought it to life. It felt like a full-blown movie playing in my mind-vivid, emotional, and completely immersive.

As the third installment in the Skyland series, this was the perfect finale. The icing on the cake. And out of all three, this one made me feel the most seen. Kennedy gave the rich aunties a love story that was flirty, sexy, grown, and full of heart.

It was relatable, full of pursuit and passion, and overflowing with Black love and joy. No doubt about it—this one's staying in my top five of the year.

“My stories are here to entertain, but they are also here to engage, to provoke, and to encourage.” -Kennedy Ryan

Kennedy Ryan does an amazing job at taking difficult issues and carefully presenting them in her art! She also does a fantastic job at displaying beautiful black love, & beautiful friendships!

This book was no exception! Maverick & Hendricks were magnetic & when they came together, it was a satisfying explosion between the 2! I thought Yasmen and Soledad's appearance in this book was fantastic. It was wonderful to catch up with them and observe how solid their bonds remain with one another.

This was a good way to end the series, but I hope we get some updates!

The audiobook was AMAZING, & did a good job bringing the story to life even more for me!

This series from Kennedy Ryan is such a staple in my heart, at this point. They continue to get better and better, and this may be my favorite yet. And as a side note, y'all KILLED IT with this cover! Gorgeous, beautiful, no notes.

I don’t typically gravitate towards books that I know will make me cry… unless it’s Kennedy Ryan!
My god!!!

I love this series and was so so excited for the third and final book. HENDRIX’S ! She was a fav of mine from the beginning and I was eager to be in her head. What a lovely head to be in.

I love the discussions and heart wrenching reality these stories have. So much heart. I cry in every book.

5 stars. No notes.

Loved.

Thanks to Netgalley and Hachette Audio for an Alc.

Thank you to Hatchett Audio and NetGalley for an advanced listening copy of this book.

Publish date is May 13, 2025.

This is my first Kennedy Ryan book and won’t be my last. I enjoyed so much about this book: friends to lovers is a trope that I like and it works well here. There is also instalove (even though it’s fought).

Hendrix looks like she has it all: a successful career, loyal friends, and all her ducks in a row. She doesn’t have a boyfriend; but who needs a man?? She then meets Maverick bell at his party, and realizes something may be missing from her life. Maverick’s acceptance of her situation with her Alzheimer’s diagnosed mama makes him even more of a keeper.

However, maverick’s ex girlfriend is a friend and business partner of Hendrix. She has a new boyfriend, but still doesn’t want to let maverick go. Can’t Get Enough is about 2 people who realize they have to decide if they are night for each other; even with the drama of life all around them. Alzheimer’s is a major part of this story and the challenges are written well! A HEA is achieved, but the road to get there is dramatic and fun. The 🌶️ is fun, too!

🎧 AUDIOBOOK REVIEW🎧

I loved this audiobook. The narrators were great and it flowed nicely. Absolutely loved it.

This book. This series. It is everything. Like that’s for breaking my heart again Kennedy Ryan 😜 just love it all of them.

hey academy, give the narrators their flowers cause they gave OSCAR WORTHY performances. if you're going to read this, the audiobook is simply the only way!!!

you guys...UGH. kennedy ryan does it again. this book was actual perfection. the representation of a truly independent headstrong queen in hendrix with an absolutely OBSESSED hero ready to give everything to her in mav?? girl...i was clutching my pEARLS. i loved that hendrix knew who she was, what she worked hard for, and wasn't going to let any man get in the way of her dreams. i loved that that's what mav loved most abotu her and was ready to support her in any way possible. the man was bEGGING for her to let him treat her like a goddess - and those were his exact words. now they both were going through such heavy personal issues, and hendrix's relationship with her ailing mother was a big focus in the story, and that part made me tear up. mav was there through it all, holding it down and being the rock she didn't know she needed. i loved them so much. they both allowed each other to open up and be vulnerable in such a safe and healthy way. i truly can't express how much i needed to read about a character like hendrix getting her happy ever after. this book is everything to me!

𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: Hendrix “Hen” Berry is a successful independent woman who doesn’t have time for love. She knows what she wants, and isn’t afraid to go after it- relationships just slow her down. Enter Maverick Bell, an investment mogul with an eye for business, and now Hendrix. Hen and Mav share a common bond in caring for a parent with Alzheimer’s- as they grow in their friendship, they discover there might be a chance for more.

𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:

🖤 Billionaire romance
💜 Female friendships
🖤 Explicit Spice 🥵

𝗠𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:
The third book in the Skyland Series, and if I know anything, it’s that author Kennedy Ryan can tell a great story. While this wasn’t my favorite of the three, it was a solid second place. 🥈 I found the Alzheimer’s portrayal to be very accurate and heartbreaking. I could identify with Hen and her independence and not wanting to waste time on love unless it was “the one”. Maverick was a decent character, the billionaire romance is not my thing- but it is plenty of other people’s. The story did drag on more than I would like, and the pacing was slow. The female narrator was great, I felt like she was able to make me believe she was the voice of Hendrix. The male narrator was as just ok, I didn’t think the voice or inflection of the words and dialogue was as great as it could have been. I would have loved to read this with my eyeballs 👀, I think the story would have read better than the audio version.

Kennedy Ryan's Skyland series continues to delete a lot of emotion and fun with Can't Get Enough. In Can't Get Enough, we finally get Hendrix's story, which I was incredibly excited about. Hendrix is ambitious and successful, and this book starts as she's getting a major opportunity at work while dealing with a parent's dementia. She meets Maverick, a billionaire interested in Hendrix, who seems like a great match for her, except for recently ending a relationship with Hendrix's business partner for the aforementioned work opportunity.

Though I liked Can't Get Enough, it did not top This Could Be Us as my favorite in the series, despite how much I thought I'd like it based on my enjoyment of Hendrix in the previous books. I haven't read many books with the billionaire love interest trope, and I'm not sure it's for me.

4.5⭐️ 2🌶️5🎧

This was my first Kennedy Ryan book, but it won’t be my last. I loved this book so much!

Hendrix was such a baddie! I loved her drive and determination but most of all I loved her incredible heart. She was so kind and generous and constantly thinking of how she could help and uplift others.

Maverick was perfect for her! Hen was so used to being the one taking care of others that it took her a hot minute to be comfortable with Mav taking care of her. And I loved how he took care of her. He was the definition of if he wanted to he would. He dropped everything so many times to be with her without her needing to ask.

I loved me an obsessed billionaire whose love language is acts of service. Although his gifts were pretty amazing.

Their connection was instant and cataclysmic. They had so much in common and they both knew what they wanted and maybe more importantly didn’t want their lives to look like.

I thought the way Hendrix handled her mom’s Alzheimer’s was very real and relatable. I definitely understand that denial phase and the long journey to accepting what it truly means for her mother and herself. I loved that she had Mav to lean on.

My biggest “complaint” about this book is that I wanted more! I wanted to see Hen meet Mav’s daughter. I wanted to see them move in together and as terrible as it sounds, I wanted to see Mav be there for Hen when she lost her mother. I just loved this characters and would have happily read another 200 pages 🤣.

The audiobook was amazing! Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem such a wonderful job bringing Hen and Mav to life.

Hendrix is living her best life. She has good friends, a job that she loves and a loving family. In the midst of all her success now shes facing her toughest challenge yet in taking care of har aging mother. She doesn’t have time for romance and besides, the only man she has a serious connection with is strictly off limits.

I regret not reading one of Kennedy Ryans books sooner, I loved this book! Strong female characters are my weakness and when you throw in an emotional storyline its even better.

Hendrix mother has Alzheimer’s disease so she and her aunt has to take care of her. It’s incredibly emotional and at times I had to take a break just to reflect. I adore the way Maverick supports her on this journey.

The narrators did an incredible job, in fact this is one of my favorite audiobooks I’ve ever listened to. I can’t recommend it enough.

KENNEDY RYAN DOES IT AGAIN. I don't know what kind of voodoo magic she weaves into her love stories, but damn. I've read a lot of rom-coms recently, including new ones by the biggest names in the rom-com game, and... this one tops them all.

Something about the realness of the characters just drew me in. Granted, both of our protagonists are over 40, which lends a special sort of confidence and knowledge in what they want. There's no wishy-washy in this, no self-doubt (at least, not within their relationship). No third act breakup. Just two grown adults who understand what they want out of life and are willing to figure it out with each other.

I will say that this book was spicier than her previous books in the Skyland series. I expected that, knowing who Hendrix is as a character, but it was definitely spicier than I normally read.

It also had a subplot of Alzheimer's, so TW for that. I thought it was really well done, though, and I really love the way it showed a different side of Hendrix.

I'll be thinking about this book for a while!

Book 3 of this series was just as amazing and books 1 & 2! I absolutely loved Hendrix in the first books, and was looking forward to her story. This book touched on some touchy subjects, such as caring for elderly parents with illness, taking care of your mental health & body positivity. In spite of this, Kennedy Ryan managed to also have me cackling out loud, at some of the funny scenes and sayings. I loved the brief updates on Soledad & Yasmin & I still love their pure friendship.

The deep dive she took on Alzheimer’s was nothing short of amazing. The way it accurately depicted how this disease wreaks havoc on not only the person that’s diagnosed but also their loved ones, was powerful and emotional.

Maverick… Where do I start. This good, honest, hardworking, faithful, billionaire black man that I simply adore. I fell in love with his character from the mere mention of this name & Kennedy absolutely portrayed his character extremely well.

The narration in the audiobook… Let’s just say Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem can do no wrong in my eyes. The way in which they brought life to these characters should studied! I love every single thing they narrate, but this one resonated! I’m unsure if it’s because I went into the story already having an emotional connection to some of the characters or not as to why this one hit different, but either way EXCELLENT job!

Thank you Hachette Audio and NetGalley for this advanced listening copy. All opinions are my own.

Loved this last installment of the trilogy. I loved all the ladies journeys but Kennedy truly saved the best for last. She gets it, enough with the struggle love, black women deserve to be worshiped and loved on correctly and completely and that’s what you’ll get in these novels. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. This one comes out May 13th and will be a treat for all the romance girlies. Thank you #hachetteaudio for the ARC

Can't Get Enough was absolutely amazing!!! Kudos to the author and the narrators of the story as they both did a fantastic job with the story. I absolutely loved Hendrix and Maverick from the very first beginning until the very end. Their chemistry was undeniable, and the narrators did such a fantastic job that I swear you could feel their need and desires from their words. There was never a dull moment in this story that was filled with great family, friends, community, support, challenges, hardships, heartfelt moments, laughs, steamy scenes, love and so much more. I haven't listened to or read the previous books in this series but after listening to this one, I now want to read/listen to the previous books in the series. However, I absolutely enjoyed this standalone story and it's one I will be recommending to my romance loving friends.

The last book in the Skyland series… I’m so sad to see you go but you ended with a banger. Hendrix was always my favorite of the group. She’s the outspoken, confident, plus size, child free Auntie. And in this book she meets goal oriented billionaire, Mav, and the chemistry is amazing immediately. Unfortunately, his ex has a lot of thoughts.

I got the 5⭐️ feeling just MINUTES into this one and that never changed throughout. I obviously enjoyed the main characters but the side characters and their journeys as well. I felt like the dementia rep in this book was really well done. It was sad of course but really sweet and handled with care. Hendrix was dealing with so much but handled everything so gracefully. And props to her because most of it would’ve made me so mean. I’d be screaming! This book could’ve been longer and I would’ve been fine with that but it did wrap up really nicely. I laughed, I cried, I have absolutely no notes or anything negative to say.

Since I received this book as an ALC, I need to comment on the narration. I really don’t think it could be improved much. I mean dual narration is always amazing but I know that’s hard to do. It may have been nice to see different narrators throughout the series to differentiate better but I really enjoy them. And I feel like they fit well for this book.

Thanks so so so much to Netgalley and Hachette Audio for the ALC of this book. :)

Another perfect romance from Kennedy Ryan. I’ve been for Hendrix’s book since she was introduced in Before I Let Go, and I was not disappointed. Kennedy Ryan perfectly manages to maintain the escapism that you get in a romance book, while still making it grounded in real life. I enjoyed the narrators but preferred the narrator for Hendrix over the one for Maverick.
