I was lucky enough to receive this as an ebook. While just reading it was great, I felt that the audio adaptation added an even deeper layer. This was beautifully done. It was soulful and deep.

I don’t usually reach for genre romance. I tend to enjoy romance more when it’s a subplot woven into literary fiction. But I’ve heard so many glowing things about Kennedy Ryan’s writing that I finally gave in and picked up Can’t Get Enough. Plus, I was in the mood for something a little more feel-good, so it felt like the right time.

What I really appreciated is that this isn’t just a light-hearted love story. It dives into some heavy, real-life themes—like caring for a mother with Alzheimer’s, the emotional toll of being the "strong one" all the time, and the complexities of love, loss, and personal independence. It’s clear that the author wanted to bring depth and realism into the romance space, and I respect that a lot.

That said, I don’t think this one completely worked for me personally. I struggled to fully connect with the characters, which made it harder to get emotionally invested in their journey. The storyline around caregiving had so much potential to break my heart and move me deeply, but I felt it stayed a bit on the surface—it touched on the pain, but didn’t linger there enough for me to really feel the weight of it.

Maybe I just wasn’t the target audience for this book, and that’s totally okay. Romance readers, especially those who live for the emotional highs and swoony moments, are probably going to love this book—and rightfully so. Just because it didn’t fully hit home for me doesn’t mean it isn’t a good book.

I’m still glad I read it. Kennedy's intent to write about real-life issues with care and honesty is something I genuinely appreciate.

Kennedy Ryan knocked it out of the park, AGAIN! I love the Skyland series, and was so excited to read Hendrix’s story. The entire series was wrapped up and left my heart feeling so full. Soledad, Yasmin, and Hendrix feel like my best friends, and I couldn’t get enough of them!

The Skyland Series by Kennedy Ryan
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star series
Published between 2022-2025

Congratulations to the queen @kennedyryan1 on her new book out yesterday, Can’t Get Enough! Here’s a blurb about the new Skyland book:

Hendrix Barry lives a fabulous life.
She has phenomenal friends, a loving family, and a thriving business that places her in the entertainment industry’s rarefied air. Your vision board? She’s probably living it. She’s a woman with goals, dreams, ambitions-always striving upward. And in the midst of everything, she’s facing her toughest challenge caring for an aging parent. Who has time for romance? From her experience, there’s a low ROl on relationships. She hasn’t met the man who can keep up with her anyway. Until...him. Tech mogul Maverick Bell is a dilemma wrapped in an exquisitely tailored suit and knee-melting charm. From their first charged glance at the summer’s hottest party, Hendrix feels like she’s met her match. Only he can’t be. Mav may be the first to make her feel this seen and desired and appreciated, but he’s the last one she can have. Forbidden fruit is the juiciest, and this man is off limits if she plans to stay the course she’s set for herself. But when Maverick gives chase-pursuing her, spoiling her, understanding her-is it time to let herself have something more?

I am so so so sad that this series is OVER 😩 There is literally no other author that pulls my heart strings like Kennedy Ryan. Her writing is captivating, beautiful, and emotional all in one. She touches on topics & stories that are hard to experience & teaches lessons throughout the whole book. Her audiobooks are also top tier! I could not recommend a series enough- PLEASE READ IT! You won’t regret it!

Damn, I don’t even know where to start with how much I loved this story. Our main characters are two of the most giving and lovable characters I’ve read. Kennedy Ryan shines a light on the white hood witch hunt happening in the US right now to destroy the progress that marginalized communities have made. As an Atlanta girlie, I loved every second of the city's highlights. The look into parental caregiving is heartbreaking, but faces the hard decisions head-on. Hendrix is the ultimate girl's girl, and I wish she were in my friend's group. Last but not least, the spice in this book is top-tier and SO HOT. 🥵 This audiobook had me making sure my headphones didn’t die in case the audio was overheard. I was blushing hard. Narrated by Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem.

Disclaimer: I received this as an ALC in exchange for an honest review— thank you! 🤗

So I actually haven't read books 1 and 2 of this series yet but got accepted for an ALC of book 3 and let me just say I am so disappointed that it has taken me this long to find/read the Skyland series!

The amount of strong, confident, successful women in this book is exactly the vibes that I needed. I really appreciate the way Hendrix stands firm with Maverick that she can take care of herself and doesn't need to ride on the coattails of his name and money. Because she is her own successfull ahh boss too!! And the fact that he respects that and is there for her in other ways... LOVE THAT.

The narrators did a great job. I think that Wesleigh Siobhan was the perfect Hendrix. She had me crying at certain parts of the book but she was able to hit that attitude well also. Jakobi Diem has a very smooth voice and was great also!

5 stars. 5 stars. 5 stars. 5 stars. 5 stars.

Going to pick up the whole series ASAP.

This was my first Kennedy Ryan book and boy it did not disappoint!

This book was so sweet and tender. The audio narrators did an exceptional job at bringing the characters to life and making the story feel that much more immersive.

What to expect?

💸Millionaire Romance
💪Successful, strong FMC
💗Dementia rep (Grandparent)
💥 Chemistry off the charts

I love Mav and Hendrix, their chemistry was off the charts from the moment they met. I almost wish this was a slow burn for longer as I enjoyed seeing the ways Mav tried to win Hendrix over. The drama was minimal, spice tasteful and wit explosive.

The way the pair supported each other through the tough times was tender and touching and I still find myself rooting for them now. If the goal was to create a couple with a connection so genuine you believe they'll last the ride, Ryan achieved this. I have no doubt this pair are in it for the long haul.

Huge thanks to Netgalley and Hachette for an ALC

I enjoyed this book so much! I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. This was written so beautifully. Can't Get Enough is my favorite book out of the Skyland series.

This story left me breathless, teary-eyed, and completely full in the best way. Hendrix is a powerful, complex heroine—a successful businesswoman, a devoted daughter, and a woman finally learning to make space for her own happiness. Maverick Bell is everything: patient, brilliant, and unshakably devoted. Their chemistry is magnetic, but what really shines is the tenderness and vulnerability in their slow-burn journey. Ryan beautifully captures the nuances of second chances, chosen family, and the deep emotional labor of caregiving, all while never losing the heat or heart of the romance.

The themes of love, grief, legacy, and identity are handled with grace, and the representation of Black womanhood and strength is as rich and affirming as ever.

A huge thank you to NetGalley for the advanced listening copy of the audiobook. The narration by Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem was outstanding—truly one of the best I've heard. They brought Hendrix and Maverick to life with such depth and feeling that I felt like I was living inside the story.

This book is a must-read or a must-listen. An instant favorite

“Can’t Get Enough,” the third Skyland series by Kennedy Ryan, is captivating and provocative like the first two. Hendrix, a powerhouse, always supports her loved ones. Watching her take center stage was everything I hoped for and more. The audiobook narrators, Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem, did a phenomenal job, making the story feel real and allowing listeners to connect with Hendrix and Maverick. Ryan’s writing tugs at the heartstrings and feels real. If you’re looking for a romance series with strong female friendships, I highly recommend this.

This was really great. I enjoyed learning about Hendrix and seeing her fall for a man her stature. I love this series. The narration was great.

3.5

I truly appreciate when romance novels delve into real-life complexities, and this was no exception. This was my first experience reading Kennedy Ryan, and it certainly won’t be my last. While I didn’t fully connect with this particular story, I found the way it tackled layered, nuanced issues to be both thoughtful and compelling. I wasn’t entirely convinced by the romance between the main characters, though I suspect that may have had more to do with my current state of mind than the writing itself. That said, I’m looking forward to exploring more of her work.

I do think the narrators did an excellent job of conveying the characters.

Thank you, Hachette Audio and Netgalley for the chance to read this early.

Another amazing read by Kennedy Ryan! I’ll read anything she writes. The narration of this book was amazing! The characters we came to life through the narrators voices. The story line, characters, and narration were all 5 stars! Loved this one!

I'm sure this has been said already, but let me echo the obvious: I couldn't get enough of Can't Get Enough. This title is purportedly the third volume in Kennedy Ryan's "Skyland" series, but it's the first I've read, and I never for a moment felt lost or confused. Instead, I was completely caught up in the anxiety-ridden thin line Hendrix Barry is trying to walk among her many conflicting needs: growing her business and retaining close relations with her clients, taking care of her ailing mother, and allowing love to flourish with the sizzling hot Maverick Bell. Ms. Ryan juggles these three main themes and throws in single-fatherhood, struggles for social justice and equality, and even a puppy, without ever dropping a ball. I've read and appreciated many of Kennedy Ryan's earlier books, and it's great to witness her talent for delivering a great story grow ever stronger.

Unfortunately I was disappointed in this one… I loved the first two of the Skyland series, but this was so hard for me to get into. I will say, I think the Alzheimer’s subplot with Hendrix’s mom was so well done and I really appreciated that. The billionaire aspect just didn’t work for me. It honestly felt like the relationship with Hendrix and Maverick slightly forced. There were some super cute moments, but overall I just didn’t vibe with this one as much as the first two.

Thank you Hachette Audio and Netgalley for an early copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

These narrators were amazing. They fit each role perfectly and did a fantastic job with inflection and tone. I was so excited to get my hands on this early copy. I have read and LOVED the other Skyland books. While this is my least favorite, it is still a solid 3.5 stars. There is so much emotion behind Kennedy Ryan's books, and I love that. I had a harder time believing the love story aspect of this book. It felt a little too instant-love. I think this book touches on some very important topics occurring in our world now, and that is why the book is still a must-read. I love the found family aspect between Hen, Yas, and Sol. I think this was a good ending to the series.

4.5 stars

I enjoyed this a lot. The author tackled some really heavy themes with care and accuracy, and managed to weave plenty of sweet, steamy and swoony moments into the story as well. The romance was sweet, there was a good build in tension and I always enjoy reading a MMC down bad and perusing his lady. That being said, I really didn’t enjoy the plot with Zere; it seemed like she was unnecessarily turned into a cartoon villain, which I could have done without.
The audiobook was well done, I enjoyed both performances and found it compelling and easy to listen to.
I would definitely recommend this for those who are looking for a romance with some grit to it.

Thanks Netgalley and Hachette audio for the audio-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Firstly, thank you to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for gifting me the advanced reader and listener versions of my most anticipated 2025 read! I am forever grateful! I read this as an immersive read with both the audio and the e-book and it is literally the best way to read any book! Also shout out to the narrators, the way that they bring characters to life is amazing! 10000/5 stars. Loved this one (and it might be my favorite in the series!).

Kennedy Ryan wrote this book with ME in mind - The high achieving, super independent, ultra-ambitious woman who also at times (in the secret of her own mind) wants to be held in the middle of the night and share her life with someone. The care in which Ms. Ryan wrote this story is astounding. I felt so seen and so heard and also gave space to vulnerabilities that I have not yet been able to voice yet to even my closest friends. This book could not have come at a better time for me and my life. I literally was sobbing reading this, in like the best way possible if that makes sense.

This book is about a little of everything - the story follows Hendrix and Maverick as they navigate caregiving for older parents, Alzheimer’s disease, messy ex-girlfriend drama, a soft place to land for the highly ambitious girlies, friendships turned family, platonic soulmates and more!

Hendrix is literally that girl, she has a thriving business, helping others, while also being childfree by choice and a loving Auntie to her friends. I see so much of myself in Hendrix. And
Maverick is everything and more. Honestly, we love a man who is about his business, about going after what he wants, and loves and cares for fiercely the woman he loves.

I would recommend this book to eldest (or only) daughters, my hyper independent: “don’t worry about it, I got it,” girls who desire an “I know, bby but let me take this off your plate,” partner, people who enjoy black billionaires, and the following tropes: he falls first, found family/friends, features friends from previous books, & friends(?) to lovers.

Audio review: Excellent dual narration! The narrators did an excellent job with their vocal performance for the characters of Hendrix and Maverick along with the supporting cast, Thank you, Hachette!

Writing this review was especially challenging, as Can't Get Enough, the conclusion to the Skyland series and series favorite Hendrix's story, was one I had highly anticipated. I genuinely appreciated the themes Ryan explored—women aging proudly, choosing a child-free life by choice, navigating almost billionaire-level wealth, and caring for an ill parent. These aspects added depth to the story.

However, some narrative choices felt forced and inconsistent with Hendrix’s established character in the previous books. The forbidden lust aspect, in particular, left me feeling frustrated, and ultimately, I decided to set the book aside at 63%. That said, I recognize there will be further development in the romance and in Hendrix's mother's journey with Alzheimer’s—both of which intrigue me. I hope to return to the story in the future to see how these elements unfold.

I received an early e-copy from Forever and appreciate the opportunity to read with the audio.
