Kennedy Ryan always writes these romances that make me emotional! Can't Get Enough follows Hendrix, a Black woman entrepreneur & agent who is also caring for her mother who has dementia. Romance is not on her to-do list, until she meets Maverick, a Black business man who is almost a billionaire. But he's the recent ex of one of her clients, so despite the undeniable attraction, she really shouldn't... (we all know she does)

This is both very emotional AND very steamy! Things HAPPEN in some wild places! (like the coat room at a party) It's tackling some difficult subject matter, but is also an excellent romance I was rooting for them to be together. It features a couple that does not want children, which I know many people want to see more of, and references to attacks on programs to support Black entrepreneurs feel very timely. A great book and I definitely recommend it. Kennedy Ryan also has GREAT audio narrators! They killed it. I received an audio review copy via NetGalley, all opinions are my own.

I don’t know how I can forget how masterful a storyteller Kennedy Ryan is when her books scream women getting the loving they deserve. I have loved the Skyland series and this book is the perfect end-cap to the trilogy of three best friends who have found their happy ever afters. Hendrix is the perfect FMC for a Black Billionanire Surfer Daddy™️ book because she doesn’t need saving—she is forty, secure in herself and her work, and isn’t looking for Prince Charming. But damn if she doesn’t find him in Maverick. And for a billionaire, Mav sure does feel down to earth.

This book has insta-attraction, the spark that makes you curious, but keeps you on your toes and as getting together might mean pushing work and girl code, Hen is hesitant to jump in feet first. But Kennedy Ryan crossed every T and dotted every i making sure that her characters are aboveboard with starting a relationship. I loved that hard things happened in this book, because THAT’s LIFE, but Hendrix and Mac navigated them anyway, and more importantly together. A big part of Hen’s storyline is how she finds herself as the caregiver for a mother with Alzheimer’s and how that impacts her emotional journey. Kennedy Ryan beautifully portrays a mother daughter relationship that must navigate the changes brought on from the disease, and shows us how important community is to providing support and love.

I was so happy to read a book about grown adults who may not have everything figured out but are mature, funny, strong, hard-working people finding love when either of them least expects it. Hendrix and Maverick have amazing attraction and Kennedy Ryan knows how to write sensually explicit intimacy that is A+ as far as partners taking care of each other. It’s just hot y’all. I also loved the side romance with Bolt and Skipper (hilarious) and seeing previous couples and their children. Trust me, this is a grown-up romance you don’t want to miss out on for the vibrancy of life, the scorching sex, and the adeptly written prose.
Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem were perfectly cast as Hendrix and Maverick, and they also narrated Before I Let Go. I loved their dual narration and they both excellently portrayed the emotion needed from each character.I received an early copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I am still crying over this book. Kennedy Ryan never misses, and Can’t Get Enough hit me deep. Her writing is so full of heart and truth, and the way she weaves in emotional depth while still keeping the romance front and center? Chef’s kiss. Hendrix’s story gutted me in the best way. As someone who’s the fun, independent auntie and also a caregiver for a loved one with dementia, her journey with her mother hit hard. I saw so much of myself in her. And Maverick? Whew, he was the perfect match. Supportive without trying to take over, constantly showing up without making her feel like she needed him to be whole. Just pure love and partnership.

And while Hen and Mav are absolutely endgame, one of the most beautiful parts of the Skyland series has always been the core sisterhood. Yasmen, Soledad, and Hendrix showing up for each other through heartbreaks, healing, and growth. Their friendship is the heart of this series, and watching them root for one another through every season of life made this story even more special.

I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of the audiobook and let me tell you, Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem absolutely crushed it. The emotion, the chemistry, the flow, it all came through loud and clear. Every beat of this story felt intimate and immersive, and the production was smooth and seamless. Kennedy Ryan continues to show why she’s one of the best in the game, and this book is easily one of my top reads of the year.

Hendrix has been a fascinating character since the first book in this series, and this book is truly worthy of her. She's a great friend and also a strong Black woman who knows what she wants and works hard to achieve her goals. In this story she faces the toughest challenges of her life. Her mother is struggling with Alzheimer's and she's still being pressured to have children, but she never loses focus on her own goals, even when she meets an irresistible man who clashes with her business alliances and her public image is challenged.

All the characters in this series feel like real people dealing with huge life issues, and fighting to maintain their mental health. Even though this book is a little longer than most, I think it needs those extra pages to really get to the heart of the story. I really appreciate having a story about a women who stands up for her desire to remain childfree, and her discovery and descriptions of how it feels to have a true partner in life. The author's note is also very moving and informative, and explains how she based the story on a real life case.

Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem did a wonderful job of narrating the audiobook, they truly felt like actors in the movie of these characters' lives.

Y'all know how I say PUT IT IN YOUR FACE? Do it immediately. *SPOILERS*

I got an ALC from Netgalley (thank you to the Publisher!) and the audio narrators deserve whatever awards they give for making fictional characters feel so real I want to call Hendrix and check on her mom. I'll admit book 2 didn't hit me as hard, I actually found the friendship between the ladies to be so much YASS GIRL and I just wasn't in the mood for it but it seemed much more authentic and uplifting in book 3.

Having personal experience and a vested interest with Alzheimer's, I was curious how Ryan would handle this storyline and she didn't mess around. She kept it painfully real without turning it into tragedy porn. The moments when Hendrix's mom slips away then suddenly recognizes her are wrought with visceral emotion and so well performed.

Hendrix has been That Woman since book one, and Ryan gives her a story worthy of her crown. A successful Black woman holding it down professionally while caring for her mom and finding love. The balance felt authentic. I appreciated that Hendrix wasn't one of those women who pretend to refuse lavish gifts and heaps of love. She knows she deserves it.

Maverick proves to be the anti-billionaire billionaire. There's such a negative connotation toward them but Maverick is a different kind of very rich man. He actually supports his woman without trying to run her life and when it comes down to to it, he makes a choice that reflects his character. That's the kind of fictional man I can get behind.

The friendship between these three women remains everything. That sisterhood energy carries the entire series. Ryan tackles real issues including Alzheimer's, being childfree by choice, supporting Black women in business without it feeling like we're getting a TED talk in the middle of our romance. I also liked the "ripped from the headlines" feel with the storyline about Hendrix's fund, mirroring the Fearless Fund case.

Now. I have a nit (there is always a nit!) My only pause came with how quickly Hendrix and Maverick moved forward together, knowing Zere still had feelings for him and telling themselves they're all adults and she'll just get over with and they did nothing wrong... all the while not saying anything to her. Because they knew they were wrong! Their timing, especially on a day that was significant for her, had me questioning their choices. She had every right to be upset, I thought...until she started insulting Hendrix size and insinuating that Maverick wouldn't be interested.

Then I didn't care. Zere can get the hell on.

Anyway, I'd love for the Peacock adaptation to start filming *immediately*.

Just read the book. Kennedy Ryan delivers again with a story that's worth every minute of your time.

I was so excited to get into Hendrix's book after reading Yasmen and Soledad's stories. Hendrix is a driven, independent, caring, and generous woman who takes care of those in her life that she loves with her entire heart. Getting to see her fall for Maverick and let him into her heart had me melting. Maverick was everything she needed in a partner and watching him be strong enough to withstand her getting comfortable with leaning on someone was done so well.

The found family within the friendship has been one of my favorite parts of this series. At one point Hendrix discusses that she may have found Yasmen and Soledad later in life but that doesn't mean she won't hold on to them for the remaining years they have. Their friendship was everything and I loved how they all blended a helping hand in any way they could within each other's lives.

The storyline of Hendrix being a caretaker for her mom was done with so much respect and yet was still so raw that you felt as if you were in the room with them; it was such a deep insight to Hendrix.

I appreciate IMMENSELY the story of Hendrix staying childfree. I have read a few books where they "change" their mind once they are in a relationship, but Kennedy wrote her in such an authentic apologetic way that she stood by what she knew was right for her, no matter other's opinions. I saw a lot of myself in Hendrix with how she cares for others and struggles when she can't find a solution to an issue to help her loved ones but I saw myself reflected the most in this aspect of her life.

This was an emotional and raw story filled with so much platonic and romantic love. I adored getting to see the other two couples and the epilogue was a great conclusion to a great series. I think Hendrix's book is my favorite of the three. The narrators for the audiobook were FANTASTIC.

Kennedy Ryan and her writing is perfection. The audiobook was so well done. I wish I was friends with these fictional women. LOL. I love a good grown romance especially when the women are strong and independent. This was emotional and heart warming. No notes, an easy 5 stars. If she writes it I am definitely reading it.

Maverick said “let’s be good to each other”.
Hendrix is successful in her career, she has a great friend group, she’s branching out in other areas and she is happily child free. Life is happening to her and she is navigating a new norm with her family. When Maverick and Hendricks meet he is lured in by her joy, personality and curves. Not only do they have this instant chemistry they have similar interests and common life experiences. He applies pressure at the worst time but just like everything else Hendrix handles it well. What I appreciate most about this story is that they are both firm in their life’s choices and move accordingly and that Hendrix does not have to choose or sacrifice her new relationship while navigating being a caregiver. This is a story of romance, love, family, womanhood, and caregiving. This story is full and has a lot of moving parts and people and it does not overwhelm the romance which makes it a great read.
I listened to the audio narrated by the most awesome Wesleigh and Jakobi and they did a phenomenal job bringing these words to life.
I recommend this book.

4 stars for Can't Get Enough, the last book in Kennedy Ryan's Skyland series! Though I really enjoyed this book, I ranked it the lowest of the Skyland series books. I didn't feel a complete emotional connection to the story like I did with the two previous books. I was engrossed in the first half of the book but felt it losing steam in the second half. Still, I really enjoyed how Hendrix's story unfolded and I'm sad to see this series go.

4 stars for the audio narration as well. Great narrators are always chosen for Ryan's books but the male's voice during the *spicy* scenes made me cringe and want to turn down the volume.

Thank you to NetGalley and Hacette Audio for the advanced audio book copy. Can't Get Enough hits shelves on May 13, 2025 (and I have already preordered, of course.

Can't Get Enough by Kennedy Ryan delivers a compelling story about Hendrix Barry, a successful woman in the entertainment industry, and her unexpected connection with tech mogul Maverick Bell. The novel explores themes of ambition, family responsibility (particularly caring for an aging parent), and the complexities of finding love when life is already full.

Ryan's writing is rich with emotional depth, sharp wit, and sensuality. The characters are well-developed, and the narrative delves into their personal journeys with nuance and empathy. The story also thoughtfully addresses important social issues, including misogynoir and the challenges faced by women in male-dominated industries.

For the audiobook, Can't Get Enough offers a listening experience that could be particularly powerful. The emotional intensity of the story, combined with the engaging dialogue and well-drawn characters. The exploration of complex themes, such as the challenges of caregiving and the push and pull of personal ambition versus romantic connection, resonate deeply. It is a dynamic performance, capturing both the tenderness and the passion within the narrative.

Can’t Get Enough by Kennedy Ryan is a breathtaking, emotionally layered romance that had me hooked from the very beginning. Ryans writing is lyrical yet raw, she entranced me into her story, it didn’t just entertain me but moved me. I was charmed from the first page hanging off of my seat until the last line. Maverick Bell and Hendrix Barry’s story is so much more than just a second-chance love—it’s about healing, resilience, and the kind of connection that defies time and circumstance.

Maverick Bell is the kind of leading man who makes you feel safe even his name sounds like he’s a cinnamon roll MMC. His steady love, quiet strength, and unwavering support for Hendrix Barry made my heart litterly ache. Hendrix Barry is one of the most beautifully written heroines I’ve read since Feyre in A Court of Thorns and Roses. She is vulnerable yet strong while embodying determination while being tender hearted. Her emotional journey, especially as she cares for her aging parent, added such depth to this story. This was my favorite part the dynamic of how this affects a persons I related when i cared for my recently passed grandmother. It was raw, honest, and so relatable for anyone who’s ever had to navigate love while also carrying the weight of real-life responsibilities.

The chemistry between Maverick and Hendrix is undeniable, but it’s the emotional intimacy between them shines through the entirety of the novel. Kennedy Ryan has a gift for writing love stories that feel lived in. Every moment, every glance, every word carries meaning. Their reunion doesn’t feel forced or idealized; it feels earned.

This book is more than a contemporary romance it’s a testament to the power of enduring love, chosen family, and the strength it takes to show up for the people you care about, even when life gets glass shatteringly messy . I don’t remember the last time a book made me laugh and cry.I didn’t want it to end and you better believe I will be re-reading this when the book comes out book besties!

Ryan continues to raise the bar for contemporary romance and I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves a legendary tear jerker romance.

I will be posting my review on instagram the day before the release date and on amazon the day of the release date! it is up on goodreads!

A HUGE thank you to Hatchette Audio at Forever and NetGalley for giving me an ARC of this book. Kennedy Ryan is a powerhouse, and this was one of the books we have been waiting for... Hendrix. She is a WOMAN who knows what she wants... until she meets Maverick who can match her "magic." This book was exactly what we would have expected from Hendrix, and I am so excited for everyone to read this! 10/10!

I was LIVING in NetGalley Audio’s walls waiting for this to drop!! I just recently read the first two in this series but I’ve come to love it so much and couldn’t wait to dive into this next book, especially with these fabulous narrators! Hendrix was such a fun narrator and I loved her story.

There was just SO MUCH about this book that I enjoyed. Kennedy Ryan delved into topics like grief, health, work, racism, child-free life, wealth, and religion with ease and intelligence. I loved her author’s note and the bit about how every other genre in fiction is allowed to bring these sorts of topics into the fold but in romance, it’s somewhat discouraged. So glad we have her voice in the romance genre to break out of that mold!

Hendrix and Mav had such a great relationship. They were truly ride or die for each other and I enjoyed seeing their love and trust strengthen. That man was DOWN BAD. No third act breakup WE LOVE!!!!! And Kennedy knows how to do an epilogue. Sheeeesh. Loved the tidbits of Yasmen and Soledad and their crew. Their friendship is so fantastic. Another highlight was Hen’s relationship with her mom and dealing with her Alzheimer’s. The part near the end about the Footprints poem??? MAN I immediately cried.

I just adore this series! SKIPPER AND BOLT story next say yes???????

Per usual Kennedy Ryan nails it again! This series will always be dear to my heart it got me back into reading romance books in 2023. And to see how she amazes us every single time is mind blowing. Yasmin and Hendrix are my favorites. I loved their chemistry in the book because who doesn’t love a man that knows what he wants and gets it. Mav had me blushing throughout the whole book. Hendrix is really that GIRL and don’t forget it. She didn’t let anyone define her or deter her from doing what she wanted. Her mom and her had me so teary eyed because I can only imagine what she was going through. And Mav there to comfort her and love on her unconditional. The women relationship dynamic is chefs kiss love how they always come through for each other no matter what. Sad to see this series end but can’t wait to see what Kennedy has in store next!!!!

Can’t Get Enough is the third novel in Kennedy Ryan’s Skyland series and once again, she delivers a rich, heartfelt romance that feels like it was made for the screen. The story follows Hendrix, a passionate, driven woman with her sights set on building a fulfilling life on her own terms. She’s not waiting to be rescued or completed, but when she meets Maverick, something begins to shift. As their relationship deepens, they face real-life obstacles, but what stands out is how Hendrix never loses herself or her dreams in the process.

What I really loved about this story was how it centers strong, smart, beautiful Black women who support each other fiercely. Hendrix is a powerhouse. She’s successful, ambitious, and knows exactly who she is. Her character shines as someone who doesn’t just chase her goals, she embodies them. And when she falls in love, it’s with someone who respects her path and walks beside her, not in front of it.

One of my favorite quotes from Hendrix perfectly sums her up:
“There’s no such thing as Black girl magic. It’s not a wand, it’s work.”
That line stopped me in my tracks. It’s such a powerful reminder that what people often see as effortless strength or grace is really built on grit, determination, and hard-earned success.

The relationship between Hendrix and Maverick is swoony, mature, and layered with so much mutual admiration. There’s depth to their romance and a steady sense of equality between them that I found really refreshing.

Another major highlight? The friendships. The banter between Hendrix and her girlfriends is everything. These scenes are filled with humor, honesty, and so much warmth. I laughed out loud more than once. It’s such a fun and honest peek behind the curtain of how women really talk when we feel safe and seen. It was a wholly accurate and authentic depiction of true female friendships.

Kennedy Ryan also doesn’t shy away from heavier topics. Family dynamics, mental health, social justice, all of it is woven into the story with care and purpose. Her author’s notes at the beginning and end of the book explain why she chose to include these elements and I really appreciated the thoughtfulness behind it.

And yes, the spice is fully spicing. This is not a lukewarm kind of love story. It brings the heat in a big way, so if you’re not into the hotter side of romance, consider yourself warned. If you are, buckle up.

Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem are simply outstanding in the audiobook. Their performances brought so much emotion and nuance to the story. They made Hendrix and Maverick come alive in such a powerful way. I’d happily listen to them narrate anything.

I’m seriously hoping the entire Skyland series gets adapted for the screen. This book played out like a movie in my mind and I would be first in line to see it in theaters.

If you’re looking for a romance that’s fun, emotional, sexy, and full of strong, intelligent Black women living boldly and loving fully, Can’t Get Enough belongs on your list. I highly recommend the audiobook for the full immersive experience.

Thank you to Hachette Audio and NetGalley for the advanced listening copy in exchange for my honest review.

Can’t Get Enough is the third in the Skyland series by Kennedy Ryan and was just as captivating and provocative as the first two! It could definitely be read as a stand-alone romance; however, I thoroughly enjoyed the tie-ins to Yasmen and Soledad and their storylines from the first two books. They have a beautiful friendship with Hendrix, the FMC of this story, and I loved seeing them experience life together and support and love one another as they go through the ups and downs of life.

Hendrix is a talent agent based in Atlanta who’s in her 40s. She worked hard to be a successful, independent business woman and is confident in her ability to do her job and share her heart with the world. She knows that she doesn’t want to have any children of her own and while she feels societal pressures to raise a family like so many others do, she knows that she is able to share her love with others and contribute to society in different ways.

I loved, loved, LOVED seeing an FMC in her 40s! She knows who she is and what she wants. She is poised, confident, and assertive in her career and her relationships. She found herself in her 20s, learned to be happy with the life she was building in her 30s, and is now thriving in her career in her 40s while craving a partner and long term companionship.

She is also an extremely beautiful, plus-sized woman and Maverick, the MMC, finds her curves very attractive and desirable. His ex-girlfriend is a thin model and does some body shaming towards Hendrix throughout, but Hendrix is unfazed because she is comfortable in her body. Maverick thinks she is one of the sexiest women he has ever laid eyes on and also says that he is attracted to who a woman is at her core.

On top of all of this, Hendrix works with her aunt in Charlotte, North Carolina to be a caregiver for her beloved mother who has Alzheimer’s. Maverick, a billionaire tech mogul who meets Hendrix at a party, connects with her through business and then supports her as a friend too because he experienced Alzheimer’s with his grandfather.

I listened to Can’t Get Enough and the audiobook narration was absolutely phenomenal! Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem both have such smooth, sultry voices that are very easy and pleasant to listen to! I loved listening to them narrate all three books in the Skyland series and would listen to the series again in a heartbeat!

Kennedy Ryan is undoubtedly a go-to romance author for me! If she writes it, I want to read it. I loved Can’t Get Enough and would highly recommend bingeing the entire Skyland series!

Thank you to Hachette Audio for allowing me to listen to this ALC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Netgalley and Hachette audio for the ALC of Can’t Get Enough by Kennedy Ryan.
I read the first two books in this series and absolutely loved them and this book was no exception.
Kennedy Ryan does a phenomenal job in taking real life situations and writing them in a beautiful and caring way.
Hendrix is our FMC and she knows exactly who she is and what she wants in her life.
But when our MMC Maverick enters in her life, he manages to shake things up.
Hendrix is the definition of a boss woman, amazing friend, and caring daughter. She is strong, smart, caring, and beautiful.
While having an outstanding career, she is also dealing with the fact that her mother has Alzheimer’s. She’s trying to shuffle it all and Maverick comes in and proves that he will be there for her through it all.
I loved the epilogue!! I love the friendship dynamic between Hendrix, Soledad, and Yasmin. They are an amazing group of women and their sisterhood is inspiring. I’m going to miss them!!
