Daisy and her friends are back on track to the Amazon rainforest to rescue the kidnapped botanists after defeating the Grim Reapers in Iffenwild (book 2).
Even though they start out together, the group gets separated and we follow Daisy, the Prof and Indigo into the Amazon without the guidance of the adults, and Max and Acorn wind up shipwrecked on an island. Lots of suspense and some surprises in this book!
Great conclusion to this trilogy.
Perfect for kids who love adventure, botany, and magic.

This series, my students will definitely enjoy!!!
I love how the adventures build through out the books and the mission to find mom is so strong.
How to make friends and protect them, how to work for the good. This series has so many good messages
I highly recommend this series.

I love this series! This third book escalated in intensity - what an exciting read! I would certainly recommend that readers pick up the first two books before reading this one - there is a lot happening, and it would be hard to truly understand this fantasy world without having read the previous books. That said, Pari Thomson delivers a series-ender with plenty of twists, turns, and shocking revelations. I enjoyed getting to know new characters while seeing more depth in the main characters. I've enjoyed sharing adventures with Daisy, Max, and the Five 0'Clock Club, and I'm a little sad this series has ended, but also a bit hopeful that maybe there will be a spinoff series with little Acorn someday.
Sophia Nomvete is the perfect narrator for this series - she voices each character so distinctly and hearing their voices has added dimension to their characters. I will be requesting this audiobook for my local library.

The Forest in the Sky is the third book in the Greenwild series. This middle-grade series is so fun, imaginative, and immersive! It has Harry Potter vibes but with a spirit of conservation and more diversity. The books build upon each other, so you should read them in order.
In this final installment, Daisy Thistledown continues her quest to find her mother, a botanist who was kidnapped and is being held captive in the Amazon. It is full of action and adventure that will leave you on the edge of your seat and rooting for Daisy and her friends. Sophia Nomvete's narration is well done and adds to the suspenseful story so wonderfully crafted by Pari Thomson.
Thank you to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for a review copy of this audiobook.

This series conclusion picks up where book two left off, so one really must read the trilogy in order. The events of all three books take place within just a few months. This is, by far, my favorite installment.
Thomson paints a vivid picture of the fantasy worlds, and the story is action-packed. Narrator Sophia Nomvete expertly adds to the excitement and suspense.
As always, each kid contributes some expertise or assistance to resolve the situation. Of course, sometimes the children hatch truly foolhardy plans—probably thinking they are being brave and daring, but maybe simply not really thinking. Luckily, whether by their own devices or with help from others on their team—both children and adults—they pull through. [There is plenty of peril throughout the series, including kidnapping, murder, and deaths of parents and grandparents.]
There's a great twist at around the 90% mark and another exciting revelation at around 94%.
I'm sad that this imaginative and exciting middle grade fantasy trilogy is over, and quite hopeful that Thomson will continue writing . . . for any age group. 4.33⭐

A thrilling tale of friendship, adventure and staying true to yourself in the face of adversity. This is a story that everyone in the family can enjoy. Pari Thomson's characters come to life through the phenomenal narration by Sophia Nomvete. I liked the dual perspectives, to help build the story line, even when the character's themselves haven't figured everything out.

*The Forest in the Sky* is a breathtaking and emotional finale to the Greenwild trilogy, delivering on every promise with heart-pounding action, dazzling imagination, and unforgettable plot twists. This is Daisy Thistledown’s most perilous and heroic journey yet—and her most personal.
With the powerful Iffenwilders and their awe-inspiring water magic by her side, Daisy and her loyal friend Max embark on a daring rescue mission to save the imprisoned Botanists, including Daisy’s mother. But the path is far from straightforward. A surprise attack splinters their plan and leaves Daisy stranded and alone, forcing her into the untamed and mysterious world of Amazeria.
What follows is a gripping adventure that showcases Daisy’s strength, resilience, and fierce love for those she holds dear. The stakes have never been higher, and in the dense shadows of the Amazon, trust becomes as rare and fragile as the magical life it hides.
Author Pari Thomson weaves a tale rich with wonder, danger, and heart. The world of the Greenwild continues to amaze with its originality and depth, while the tension builds masterfully toward a climactic battle with the menacing Reaper King.
*The Forest in the Sky* is a powerful and deeply satisfying conclusion—a story about friendship, bravery, and the magic of nature. A must-read for fans of the series, and a brilliant testament to Daisy’s growth as a hero.

Thank you to Macmillan Audio for the opportunity to listen to an advanced copy! Sophia Nomvete did an amazing job with the narration (which if you did audio for the first two, I’m sure you expected as much).
This finale absolutely had me on the edge of my seat at times, unsure about how Daisy and friends were going to pull through. I’d begun to suspect who the villain was in the last half and felt so satisfied when I was correct! Who is it? Well, if you read, you’ll find out!
This was such a satisfying conclusion to the series (even if I wish I could have lived in this world forever).

Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan audio for this incredible ALC!
Sophia Nomvete is a fantastic storyteller. I adored her voices for each character, especially Acorn!
I freaking loved this entire series. It has been a perfect pallet cleanser from other genres. I am sad to admit that when I was Daisy’s age, I was more interested in boys than being awesomely smart, as the kiddos are in this series.
Napoleon is the real star though! That kitty is everything!
