The authors have managed to find a good balance between an academic endeavor and a readable overview of Baptist doctrine for laypeople. It is fair and balanced. It gives the reader the historical overview necessary to understand what we believe as Baptists and the framework to navigate contemporary issues. I highly recommend this volume.
