I thought the concept of someone changing with each season to be really interesting, and I enjoyed the poems.

Ceason was an interesting collection, Tiffany w Chan is a terrific writer, the style was new and refreshing. Everything about this fit with me so well.

Told between breathtaking imagery in prose and magical poetry, Carson teaches us of the importance of all of the seasons in our lives, and doing the work to heal our emotional/mental scars, and finding those who will love us through this.

Chan's poetic voice in "Ceason" employs fable's allegorical directness while infusing it with contemporary psychological complexity. Her language transforms seasonal cycles into visceral metamorphoses, creating a protagonist whose physical changes—"green-haired" in spring, "fiery, bright-eyed" in summer—externalize emotional states with mythic tangibility.

a book of prose and poems about a girl who changes with the seasons. a story of self-acceptance and having the courage to finally see yourself and allow others to see you too. devoured this in one seating, and i like how immersive this is — i now want to dye my hair blue and have it compared to the ocean

This book is an arthouse of literature. Its premise is unique: the main character, Ceason, changes physically and mentally through each season. Each season, we see her attitude change as she views herself and the others around her. The season that causes her anguish is winter. Physically, she is pale, and her hair is blue, but mentally as well, she cuts off everyone and secludes herself. Notably, she breaks up with someone as well during winter. Then, during spring, she meets the Artist, a man who saw beauty in her winter look and said her blue hair was like the sea. Throughout this book, as well, there is a lot of poetry, it's about Ceason and how her understanding of life changes with the seasons. I would recommend this book to anyone, and it would be great for a book club to read. Alot of this book is interpretive, but the concept is well-executed in the book.
Thank you, Netgalley and BookgoSocial, for the ARC.

I really loved this poetry collection.
It was very unique and immersive.
The poetry style sta is out.

this was such a unique read! i liked the blend of prose and poetry, and the way the book revolved around the seasons and what each one meant for the main character. i read it in one sitting – absolutely captivated. the only thing i didn’t love was that some of the poems felt a bit repetitive. but overall, i really enjoyed this one. underlined a few bits, bookmarked a couple of pages. also, the cover is STUNNING!
