Final chapter in this series, answering and tying up all loose ends. Interesting characters and an unusual premise throughout. A good read.

Such a wonderful story. A great end to the saga. I wanted it to go on longer. I suggest reading all 4 books. I was given an ARC of this book. This review and words are my own.

Sabrina is ready to get married to Adam but her aunt has some secrets that can change everything.
This story is a great conclusion of the series, it ties everything together, I loved the whole series.
This is not a stand alone, just start at the first story, I was hooked immediately.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read and review this.

As the war raged across Europe, Evelyn, a dressmaker, found a little girl in front of her bridal shop. She decided to raise Sabrina as her own daughter, and Sabrina grew up seeing Evelyn as her mother and was incredibly grateful for everything Evelyn had done for her. One day, Sabrina told Evelyn that Adam had proposed. Evelyn loved Sabrina like a daughter and was so happy to be involved in her special day.

Evelyn was the only family Sabrina had ever known, so when she met Sabrina’s soon-to-be father-in-law, she couldn’t believe her eyes. He was the only man she had ever loved, and she couldn’t bring herself to tell Sabrina the secrets she held in her heart. Sabrina had dreamed of this day her whole life, and Evelyn wouldn’t take that away from her.

“The Dressmaker’s Chance,” an amazing novel by Michelle Vernal, is full of hope and a second chance at true love. I was hooked from the first page to the last and loved how the story unfolded.

This is the final installment of a wonderful series that I will never forget. This time slip novel was a masterful blend of the past meeting the present and forming the future. I loved everything about this book. It can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the entire lovely series. You won’t be disappointed.

I received this book as an ARC after reading book 3 in the series.
Set in Liverpool, this book follows the life of Aunt Evie and focuses on her secrets. How did she build her life? What happened between her and Ray Taylor and will it affect Sabrina’s relationship with Adam?
Michelle Vernal has created a lovely series, filled with strong female characters. I particularly enjoyed the journey taken to build up the bridal business and the colloquial phrases used to bring the book to life.
I was glad I had read book 3 first and will be going back to read books 1 & 2 to round off the series.

The Dressmaker’s Chance by Michelle Vernal is the fourth book in the Brides of Bold Street series. While I was able to read it as a standalone, I believe I would have benefited from reading the series in order. There is background information on characters that I did not have as well as knowledge of events that are referenced. I liked that the main character, Aunt Evie was a strong female. She has overcome so much to become a successful businesswoman. Like all individuals, Aunt Evie has some personal matters that she prefers to keep private. I was curious to see how the story would play out and if everyone would get their happily ever after. The book had a satisfying ending. Now, I need to go back and read the first three books in the Brides of Bold Street series.

As always it's a joy to read one of Michelle's stories and fun to be back to the latest in this series.

oh i cant believe i am so lucky to come back to this book and the series. i was so worried id miss the chance to read the next one. and with each one i read that fear only grew. because i was so invested in these characters and these stories. and wow, here we are full circle right back to the woman who started it all with her kindness. and that is Evelyn. the woman who took in and showed Sabrina the love and car she deserved and helped her grow into the woman she is today. and that woman is ready to marry the love of her life who she also happened to meet her at the dressmakers shop. but Evelyn falters when she meets Adams father. hes someone from her past. and not just anyone from her past. he has meaning he has so much meaning to the woman she was and the woman she became today. what will meeting him do to the wall Eveleyn has carved around that time. around the pain and decisions she faced at the time. and who is this man now, does he play a role, could ever after what happened. or will it break Evelyn. but knowing what to do is made harder because how can she tell Sabrina if it will bring hurt to her door or threaten the love and future she has found and deserved to have.
Evie was always such a brilliant character in these books. such a key part. and im so glad we got to know her story too. it feels like such an added bonus.
the secrets shes had to keep felt all to real and i got a little emotional for our kind hearted but smart and strong hearted Evie.
what secrets will be told. and whos side of the story will we feel for. or could that be both?
this book is just the perfect 4th piece to this gorgeous series. i dint think it could get better after the last part but it did. it certainly did.

Not having read books one through three in the Brides of Bold Street series I felt at a slight disadvantage on parts of the storyline. Some of the background info on some characters, some of the previous events, etc. However, enough info was included in The Dressmaker's Chance by Michelle Vernal that I felt it was okay as a standalone.

Aunt Evie was a strong female character who overcame much in her past to be a successful businesswoman. Sabrina, her 'niece' showed her love of Aunt Evie when the past roars its head and threatens to break apart Sabrina and her fiancé Adam. So many secrets come to light. Will they tear everyone apart or will love overcome all the challenges?

Releases May 13th. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is a story of unfolding secrets and second chances.
After reading the first three in the series I was longing to hear Evelyn’s story, as to what made her so driven and determined to live her life without a man. What unravels in the telling of the story as Evelyn decides it’s time Sabrina knew the truth, especially as she is getting in deeper with Adam who is wide boy Ray’s son.
When Sabrina and Florence decide to go off camping with the lads for the weekend it leads to both of them having to face up to the truth. Adam however, isn’t too impressed by what he learns. Maybe it’s time for Ray and Evelyn to talk through events with the younger couple.

I loved this story, does it mean it’s the end of Brides of Bold Street?
My favourite character was Fred, who had secrets of his own. Least favourite was Tim who was a chancer.
