I listened to the audiobook version and so enjoyed the story. The narration was great in my opinion; spot on for all of the characters. It really brought the story to life. The flow of the audiobook was very easy to follow and was not jarring in any way.
The story centers around a young female lawyer who is stuck in a job in which she is unfulfilled, yet dedicating all of her time to at the detriment of her relationships, particularly with her boyfriend. When she finds out her boyfriend has been keeping a big secret from her she sets out on a new journey which opens her eyes to other possibilities for her life while she is both grieving him and also angry at him. There are quite a few other characters in the book that are well developed and come to life in a quite joyous way.
I highly recommend giving this book a try.

“Eat Post Like” by Emily Arden Wells is an excellent new edition to women’s fiction genre. Cassie, New York City attorney, was a strong protagonist. This book is for all food lovers. The descriptions of food in this book made my mouth water. Similar to “Promise me Sunshine” and “Passion Project”, two excellent books that also dealt with similar topics such as grief, friendship, self-discovery, and romance. Although there were parts of the book that could have been better, overall, the book was well written and I had a good time reading it. Stephanie Németh-Parker was an excellent narrator and did a wonderful job bringing Cassie to life.
Thank you to NetGallery and Avon and HarperAudio Adult for an advanced copy of this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

A solid debut women's fiction type story about a NYC lawyer who is trying to Eat Pray Love her way across Europe after her boyfriend dies suddenly in a taxicab accident and she learns he had been secretly living a life as an anonymous food critic influencer. Shocked, she assumes his persona and gets invited to a European food influencer getaway where she gets to indulge in all the best food and wine and finds both herself and new love along the way. This was good on audio and highly entertaining. Recommended for fans of foodies, wine lovers and fans of books like The pairing by Casey McQuiston. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio and digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

Summary: After the sudden loss of her boyfriend, a high-powered lawyer discovers he was the secret force behind a viral foodie account and sets off on a globe-trotting culinary adventure that may just lead her back to herself.
Eat Post Like is a charming debut that strikes a delicious balance between self-discovery, grief, friendship, adventure, and a touch of romance. As a big fan of cooking shows like Top Chef, I was completely drawn in by the vivid descriptions of incredible meals, luxe restaurants, and glamorous destinations, from Paris and Venice to Copenhagen and Barcelona. The story transports readers into the world of elite influencers living the good life, and I especially appreciated the extra layers of culture and history woven throughout the journey.
Cassie's emotional evolution is heartfelt and authentic. Her growth and healing feel real, even as the book keeps a light, beach-read tone. My only critique is that the ending felt a bit rushed, with a few threads left hanging. Still, if you’re a foodie, a travel lover, or someone who enjoys stories about finding joy after loss, this one is a must-read.

Cassie is a hardworking lawyer on the edge of burnout, always working, even though her boyfriend, James, tries to get her to slow down and be more present, especially when they go out to eat together. James is a foodie and wants her to enjoy food as much as he does.
After James dies in a car accident, Cassie learns James was the voice behind the popular anonymous Instagram account @NYSecretDiner, an important food critic. Cassie is thrown off course - how could James have kept such a big secret from her? Did she even know him at all? What could her life be if she could have been in that world too?
When Cassie discovers @NYSecretDiner has been invited on a food tour, reviewing starred restaurants throughout Europe for the Viant Awards, she makes the hasty decision to say yes. She takes a sabbatical from her firm and is immediately swept up in the world of food, embraced as an equal by the other members of the tour. And she begins to think there can be another path for her.
But when Cassie’s secret is revealed, is that path even a possibility?
A treat to listen to, though there are many too long pauses in the recording, which took me out of the story as I wondered if there was an issue with the recording. Added up, these help make the recording longer than it could have been, unnecessarily.
