Cat burglars, jewel, thieves, and more, race through the pages of this novel. While there is nothing surprising, or stand out about this novel, it’s still a great deal of fun.

I didn’t really care for this book. Rayna is with a guy in his hotel when he’s murdered. Turns into a jewel business. People making fake ones. Screwing people over. Didn’t finish it.

This newest effort from Kimberly Belle is well paced and features a compelling setting: Amsterdam! There are diamonds, lies, and jilted partners, and readers will be glad to experience it all from a safe distance!
Readers first meet Rayna, an expat who is absolutely pulling a geographic and who loses herself in an at first very enjoyable night of carefree fun. That sentiment changes dramatically when she awakens to something quite different than what she last remembers. Nearby, Willow, another expat, learns of Rayna's predicament and immediately becomes interested in the situation. Willow's wealth, the vulnerability of her young son, and her growing distrust and dislike of her extended family all put her attention into question. It's clear these two characters will converge, but how that will happen or what that will mean only becomes apparent piece by piece. Fortunately, that journey is pretty enjoyable.
I found this read engaging though in some ways more predictable than I hoped for. It's a fun ride that requires little from the reader but pays off nicely overall.
