Thank you Harlequin audio for choosing me as an ARC Reader for this book. It was such a cute and sweet romantic tale. I love her feisty self when needed. I highly recommend reading this book

Lynne Graham is Harlequin Presents royalty. If you have read her before, you know what you will get. As such, I am focusing on the audio format and how the narrator gets the story across. The narrator has a British accent which comes across charmingly in the male affect-Count Dracula came to mind, but a little school marmish in her female characterizations. All told, it is a quick listen-coming in under 6 hours. I am rounding the score up.

After a betrayal by his fiancee, the Crown Prince proposes to a palace art restorer, Rosy, who he's spoken to once. They navigate the ups and downs of the press. Overall I enjoyed this low drama book but it also felt low on romance and spice, leading to a touch of boredom. Easy, fun read but not gripping.

After his fiancée’s betrayal, Crown Prince Alessio proposes to art restorer Rosalia. As she navigates her new role and gets to know the prince beneath the headlines, a surprising attraction develops.
This is fun. We get to know Rosy and Alessio pretty well as their whirlwind romance unfurls. Every time an obstacle occurs, they work together to overcome it, and their bond grows stronger. They don’t run away from difficult things or let pride get in the way. I enjoyed the audiobook narration.
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

I wasn't sure if I'd be into royal escapades, but this quick read/listen proved me wrong. The characters are endearing, but I found the story to be lacking in oomph. It just seemed to rush through everything so quickly that I was left wanting more, and not it a good way.
I'm not sure if I would want to read another book by this author in fear that all of her books are this brief. I did however enjoy Melanie Crawley's narration of this book. She did a great job.
I'd like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

This was such a great romance book. I love how it was written and how everything happened. This was a marriage of convenience but turned into love. The spice was good, and it was a slow burn for part of the book. I loved reading how the commoner was able to help the prince realize what was important and how things in life should be. Overall, a great romance and I highly recommend.

Thank you to Harlequin Audio and NetGalley for allowing me to listen and review.
Melanie Crawley did a fantastic job with the narration of this audiobook. I loved the accents. I will be seeking this narrator out again.
This book was a fun, fast listen. Rosy is a fun character; you wouldn’t think she would agree to being Alessio’s replacement bride, but she does because it means getting her family out of financial peril.
What Rosy or Alessio didn’t suspect was how they would both connect and fall for each other. The way they were each other's perfect pair. Rosy was hesitant because Alessio has a lot more experience than she does.
I found the way Alessio falls for Rosy was sweet and spicy, and I loved it!

Rosy & Alessio's engagement scenario is LITERALLY a dream I use to have growing up. Who doesn't want a prince to propose to them out of the blue?
While this was a sweet and very quick read- I felt like the story plot was generally lacking. Even with the focus being on the characters- I got hung up on the time period of the story and how it made any sense. Exotic location aside- the audio narration for Rosy gave the feeling that the story took place in the regency era but then I would be startled into reality that the story was seemingly in present day? This was further confusing by the idea of a marriage of convenience versus for love? I hate to be a hater but I also was not a fan of the cover art AT ALL. I was really drawn in by the title of the book but I found the story lacking unique details or character development.
With that being said- if you are looking for a truly lighthearted romance and quick read- this may be the book for you!

This book was wonderfully written and narrated. The narrator was engaging and her character voices were realistic.
The story was interesting and the characters were well developed and while they were from very different backgrounds were able to find common ground. I loved that when there was a misunderstanding between the main characters they talked it out and found common ground which made their short relationship feel stronger. It was a great read!
