PLEEEAAAASE tell me we're getting a sequel, because I NEED more. I really hope Wes and Jupiter's story continues. So much of the action was in the final 25% of the book, and the ending hints at more...®e A girl can dream, right?
Want a forever happy ending for my sweet space babes.
Loved the journey, the sci fi elements, the Titanic vibes of it all.
Also ILSA!!! Who knew a bot could be such an incredible character.
Thank you to NetGalley and Untangled Teen for the ARC.

Firstly, I'd like to thank E.L Starling, the publisher and netgalley for letting me read and review an advanced digital copy of this book.

Bound by stars is a YA fantasy. It was just what I needed for a light, fun read! It kept me immersed in the story and I enjoyed the characters and plot.
It reminded me of the futuristic space vibes of the Lunar Chronicles mixed with Titanic. I would gladly read this again and any other titles by E.L Starling, an interesting and fun addition to the YA genre!

Bound by Stars is a titanic inspired with a sci fi twist .
What i loved
Ilsa was spunky and had alot of personality for a robot.
Jupiter was so sweet and liked Weslie from the start. Her class didn't matter to him.
I love a slow burn romance and this fits.
This is a series so while we got a huge cliffhanger we will get more 😀
The world is different then what we see.
Dislikes
The pacing was a little slow at first, the imaginary of both Earth and Mars could have been built upon.
All the action was at the end of the book
The love triangle was a little weak.
Overall it's a great ya sci fi fantasy with some sweet romance.
Thanks to entangled publishing for this advance copy.
3.75 stars 🌟 for me

Okay, Bound by Stars completely swept me away. It’s one of those books that feels like stepping into a dream—where the world is lush and mysterious, the stakes are high, and the romance is the perfect slow burn. I couldn’t stop turning pages.

E.L. Starling did such an amazing job building a universe that felt both magical and meaningful. There’s a deep sense of fate and longing woven through everything, and I loved how the characters were complex, flawed, and so easy to root for. The love story had me absolutely hooked—it’s the kind of connection that feels written in the stars (literally and emotionally).

If you're into fantasy with a little mythology feel, a lot of heart, and some truly gorgeous writing, this one’s a must-read.

Bound by Stars by E.L. Starling
This YA Titanic retelling in space completely won me over. Set on a spaceship headed to Mars, it delivers all the high-stakes drama you’d expect—only with a sci-fi twist and a cast of lovable, relatable characters.

What I really appreciated was how the story tackled deeper issues like classism without ever feeling preachy. And while it’s YA, it’s not one of those overly angsty reads—just the right balance of heart, tension, and action.

The ending? Absolutely thrilling. If you’re into spaceship adventures with a strong emotional core and a twist that’ll keep you turning pages late into the night, Bound by Stars is a must-read.

I loved this book! It's like nothing I've ever read before in the very best way. I adore the main characters Jupiter and Weslie! They have a slow burn romance that's filled with tension and some amazing banter. But ILSA is my favorite. She had me laughing many times. And my jaw was on the floor with the incredible twists. If you like books with adventure, mystery, romance and so much more then this is for you. I definitely recommend it!

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for allowing me to read this book ahead of release in exchange for my honest opinion.

“Can we just be lost right now?”
“As long as you want to be lost with me.”
“Forever.” 🖤

I can’t even begin to explain how much I adored this book. I love books set in space and I really felt like I was right there with the characters on the spaceship. The world building, the characters and the plot were amazing and this book deserves all of the praise!

Jupiter and Weslie’s slow-burn relationship was done extremely well and was done at the perfect pace. Jupiter’s confidence in Weslie was everything and I love that Weslie had a huge support system from Jupiter and the rest of her friends. Despite being the heir to a huge company, Jupiter truly was such a softie and no way near a jerk which was nice to read. It was so easy to fall in love with him and his character. Their story really had me tearing up at the end.

I absolutely loved ILSA and her sassy personality. I could totally see the similarities between her and Weslie since of course Weslie was the one who designed her. ILSA’s commentary really stole the show for me.

The last 20% of the book had so much action, I was right at the edge of my seat the entire time. The plot twists and turns were wild and that cliffhanger killed me, but I know the next book is going to be amazing. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

If you love YA sci-fi/fantasy, a space setting, enemies to lovers, forbidden romance, a slight love triangle, and found family, then be sure to check this book out! Bound By Stars releases on July 1st!

Thank you so much to Entangled Publishing/Entangled Teen and Netgalley for the advanced copy!

3.5 Stars!

A love that defies gravity.... and fate

Bound by Stars is a Titantic inspired debut novel with a unique sci-fi twist. This book has a little bit of everything from class differences to a sweet, young adult romance to politics and family dynamics. And of course, I can't forget about the ILSA bot. The ILSA bot stole the show with its witty banter and lifesaving capabilities.

The only real issue I really had with this book was the pacing. I do feel like it was a bit on the slow side, but I feel like that might be due to all of the world building that had to take place.

All in all, Bound by Stars is a solid debut novel that will take readers on an unexpected journey. If you're looking for a young adult novel filled with witty and entertaining banter, he falls first, action adventure, you won't want to miss Bound by Stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled for giving me an ARC of this book. I don’t normally read a ton of Sci-Fi, but the premise of this book had me curious (and I loved my last Entangled Sci-Fi read, so let’s gooooo!). I enjoyed the banter, smart witty commentary and pace of this book – I found myself really enjoying the characters that Emily Starling has created here. I’m up for a second book, please and thank you!!

Thanks to Netgalley and Entangled: Teen for the eARC of this book!

Titanic is one of my favorite movies. I also adore disaster books and films. Unfortunately this book did not live up to my expectations and I’m so sad about that.

The only good thing in this book was ILSA. She was funny and snarky and I liked her scenes!

But nothing else worked….I’m going to try to explain why this book didn’t work for me without spoilers.

I felt like the world building in this book was lacking. How do the Elysians on Mars control Earth when there’s a dead zone between Earth and Mars? How did Earth become a dust planet? Oh wait, Wes says they grow their own food - ummm 🧐 On a dust planet? I just felt like there wasn’t enough explanation for me here. I was so confused by SO many things, not because I didn’t understand but because I kept asking MORE questions. And there were t enough answers for me. I’m a critical reader and if I don’t get my answers, I kind of shut down. 😂

The chemistry between the main characters was meh. 🫤 It felt like they liked each other because they were new and shiny. I was angry that the airlock scene early on was a direct comp to the “you jump / I jump” scene in Titanic and it was so HORRIBLE in comparison. She didn’t even want to give him mouth-to-mouth because it was icky to kiss him? Ummmmm are you 12? I think my biggest issue here is that we get them “angry” at each other for a lot of the book - they’re “enemies” because they’re not from the same social class. But in Titanic, that wasn’t a thing between Rose and Jack. Jack never really felt like Rose was the problem. He didn’t resent her like Wes resented Jupe. He fell in love with this woman who didn’t like her role in life. He wanted to show her life and love. I adored Jack and Rose. So Wes and Jupe were 🤮 in comparison.

Also what was the POINT of Reve????? They were childhood friends but hadn’t spoken in like two years? Stupid addition. 🤦‍♀️

The other side characters were meh. I wish we had gotten more of ummm….. Curran? I think his character and his plot was WAY more interesting and I wish we had gotten more hints of it earlier. I knew there was something there but I wanted more of it!!

There were a lot of random tropes in this book too that didn’t add to the plot - and also the ending and the reveal were…. Sigh. Why??? Blegh. It essentially just ruined the entire Star crossed lovers experience.

I would only recommend this book to people who aren’t going to question things, for readers of VERY light sci fi who don’t need all the answers and are just along for the ride.

Thank you to NetGalley, Entangled Publishing/Entangled Teen and E.L. Starling for the privilege of reading this incredible book.

I loved, loved, loved it. I didn't know going in if I could get into a futuristic space travel book, but this is so much more. I'll try not to give anything away.

It has the struggle of class system divisions with ingrained prejudice. An us vs them mentality, plus a mystery to solve. The conflicts that arise are so realistic. The setting and characters all work so well together.

I enjoyed the enemies to lovers and live triangle themes. I think Wesley and Jupiter are perfect together.

Skye, Asha, Tar, Gianna and everyone else in the group all drew me in. I felt like I knew them all personally.

I miss them all and wish there were a book two i can hope.

Five stars.
