Myths, monsters, Gods, and blood shed flow through this story. Honestly, the beginning was ultra confusing, partly due to the formatting in the arc I received as well.
I did enjoy the tale a bit more once I understood what was happening, but it took me a while to get into, so that was a bit of a bummer. I didn’t always like the time frame and POV jumps, it seemed a bit more jagged instead of a smooth and flowing narrative.
This was quite the imaginative tale, incorporating so many characters and ideas, props to the author for putting this epic plot out into the world.
Thank you to the author, NetGalley, and MetaStellar Press for a copy!

This is a truly unique book. It’s like a beautiful tapestry. Stories pieced together, sewn with segments of history, biology, social commentary, and poetry..
Some of the scenes will stay with me for a very long long time. It’s a fascinating combination of poetry history, horror and fantasy.. the book traverses time and place but mostly taking place in an alternate San Francisco in the 1980s. A master work.

I love how this book is written!! I realized about 1/4 way through that I didn’t exactly know the plot of the book but I absolutely loved how this author writes about the characters and was so interested in them. It’s really beautiful story telling.

God & monsters was such an interesting fast paste book. I absolutely loved it. And the cover is amazing!

This was such a good book. I loved the story and the writing so much. The characters were great and the story flowed smoothly. Will definitely read more books by this author in the future.

I didn't love this but I didn't hate it. It was pretty cool actually I just felt a little bit overwhelmed in places. This book definitely has a lot going on but in a good way. Overall this was a solid book just not my favorite.

This is a fascinating book. A poetic mix of history, mythology, philosophy, and horror..
If you like a few monsters in your fiction, I highly recommend it.
It’s also sprinkled with some humor, social insights and a lot of interesting biology. Highly recommended.
