This book was so good. Anna and Grant met at a smex club a while ago and made plans to do some Dom/sub scenes. But a bad case of miscommunication foiled their plans. So when fate has them meeting again at a remote cabin, Grant is determined to explain the mistake and hope for her forgiveness. They make up the only way possible, by working together horizontally and taking their frustrations out on each other's bodies. I loved how hot this couple's spicy scenes were together. Their smexual fire is explosive. They completely had my attention from first page to last page. I will definitely look for more from this author.

Overall, I found this book to be decent, especially if you want smut with little to no plot. I enjoyed it for what it was, but also need a little more story to go along with the spicy times.
I did enjoy the characters, and I liked that they'd met before, and it didn't work out. It's nice when there's a second chance and the characters can explore what could have been and what could be in the future.

Hannah Murray is one of my top 5 kink authors and I recommend her often for her realistic exploration of different kinks and dynamics. I’m gutted that this book massively missed the mark when it comes to consent.
In the initial meet-cute, where Grant surprises Anna by barging into her vacation rental in the middle of the night—it’s his family’s home and he didn’t know she’s there—he responds to her initial fear and subsequent rage (based on his ghosting her previously) by sexually assaulting her. I’m sure that’s not what the author intended, but I’ve read the scene over and over looking for any benefit of the doubt I can give and there’s not a hint of Anna’s consent until after he has restrained her, threatened to spank and gag her, and then aggressively kissed her.
Here’s the exchange that was my breaking point:
“Jerk,” she spat and tried to head butt him in the chin. He jerked back and she missed, and that pissed her off even more. “Swine. Asshole. No good, rat-dicked bastard, let me go!” “No,” he said and, shifting to hold her twisting wrists in one hand, tangled the other in her hair, yanked her head back, and kissed her. Incensed, furious, she tried to bite him. He jerked back with a curse, twisting his hand in her hair so tight her scalp sang. “Do that again and I’ll blister your butt.”
That’s not play. It’s not fake-denying someone. It’s not bratting. She is straightforwardly telling him no and he continues to use his physical force to overpower her. We’re in *her* POV and she’s not even consenting in her head. They’re not in a dynamic. It’s not negotiated. They barely know each other.
Adding even more grossness to the consent issue is the simple fact that any man discovering a woman unexpectedly half naked and on her own in the middle of the night *should* be feeling very cautious about not appearing threatening or taking advantage of her. The guy who loses it to restrain, kiss, and fuck her over a small provocation? That is not a guy I trust to be a Dom. That’s not a guy I want to spend any time with, and certainly not one I find sexy.
I hope Hannah takes this one down and heavily revises it. I know she can write great consent in touchy situations — she has a whole book about CNC play, for god’s sake — and this is incredibly disappointing.

This is one of the best smutty books I've read in awhile and I will definitely be reading more from this author! It had a great mix of actual plot and hot scenes. I loved Anna and Grant together and their chemistry jumped off the pages. As a switch, I took a lot from this story. As a fellow, I'm already working on my own version of one of their scenes. As a Domme, I loved Grant's way of identifying Anna's pain scale and will be putting that in my own negotiations. It's clear from the writing and way things are presented/discussed that the author is either in the lifestyle or did her research. It's nice to find a D/s smut, that actually has a legitimate, healthy dynamic.

We will be purchasing this for the branch. I have a list of patrons in mind already that will love it. Thank you!

I struggled a bit with the 3rd person pov as I prefer 1st person when reading books. I enjoyed the kinky representation and the spice.

Anna’s family backed out last minute on a family trip and she’s alone in her rented cabin. Grant’s mom owns said cabin and shows up not knowing it is rented. Turns out Grant had ghosted Anna from a scene at the club she was trying out so they agree to a two week fling.
Spicy romance and a good story! Their friends add a lot of comedy to the story. I look forward to more from this author.
Thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Big thanks to Netgalley and Hannah Murray for the eARC in exchange for a review.
This story does not start out soft, she jumps right in! Anna is renting a house for 2 weeks (and has a very disappointing family) when her 2 week stay is interrupted by Grant, the home owners son. Turns out, they have history. And they will be taking their time to play out what they missed on their first encounter over the next 2 weeks.
This has less of a story line and it's much more just plain ol' smutt. I enjoyed it and was not over the top kinky, but plausible reality kinky, which is almost better.
5 stars

What do you get when you trap a headstrong woman and her former Dominant in a remote cabin during a snowstorm? Tension so thick it could stop a snowplow. I adored this book! The tension, the spice, well written and leaving me hungry for more!

This one had a dual timeline, and it worked so well. I liked how the past and present came together piece by piece without feeling confusing or forced. It kept the tension going in both timelines, and I never felt like one was stronger than the other — they both pulled me in equally.
It was really entertaining all the way through. There was just the right balance of emotion, tension, and heat. Every now and then, I enjoy reading something with BDSM elements, and the way it was written here didn’t feel overdone or thrown in just to shock. It actually fit the characters and the story, which made those scenes hit even harder.
The ending gave me exactly what I was hoping for. It wrapped up without rushing or dragging anything out. I finished it feeling fully satisfied, and honestly, a little tempted to go back and reread a few parts just for the atmosphere and buildup alone.

I really enjoyed this book. It was sexy and fun and the dynamic between Anna and Grant is shown very well through their interactions. The sex is well written, but where Snow Bound stands out for me is in the communication between the main character (Aand even with their friends). Intense sex scenes were counterbalanced by a playfulness that made me feel more connected to these characters. This is a novella, so the plot is compact, but it still feels well thought out and makes me want to try a full length novel by Hannah Murray.

This book was smut smut smut!! (BDSM)
It was written in 3rd person which sometimes would throw me off. It was a short read but I wish it had more details. There are a lot of questions unanswered like what's going on with her mother's relationship? Why does she have trauma?
It was kind of hard to finish at the end because I just became uninterested.

Absolutely LOVED this book! The Dom/sub relationship was well written. Safe words and safe sexy time! This was written in 3rd POV.

This was a very well written Romance Erotic book. It had plot, great characters, a good story line. It was 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ in the spice department and there was a lot. It was easily a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read. Anna and Grant’s story was fun, spicy, and entirely enjoyable. I enjoyed this book a lot. Thank you so much Hannah Murray, NetGalley, and Solitary Vice Publication for trusting me with this ARC read.

Snow Bound started out with a setup I was interested in—a snowy, isolated setting with potential for a real emotional arc. But after the first few chapters, the story focused almost entirely on spicy BDSM scenes. While I don’t mind steam in a romance, I had a hard time connecting with the characters because there wasn’t much else going on. The emotional development felt rushed and came too late. This style of romance might work for others, but it’s just not my scene.

*Snowbound* is basically like a hot chocolate with extra marshmallows kind of book. It’s cozy, sweet, and just a little bit messy (in the best way). Hannah Murphy somehow took snow, suspense, and steamy romance, shook them all up, and made a story that kept me hooked faster than I can say “Where’s my blanket?” 👀😍
The snowy setting? So real I almost checked if my heating was working. 🤣🤣 Plus, the main characters? What a blast they are! They’ve got that perfect combo of “I’m tough and mysterious” and “okaaaaay, maybe I’m totally awkward and adorable,” which is basically me to a T!!
If you want a book that makes you laugh, swoon, and maybe even hide under your blanket when things get tense, *Snowbound* is your jam. Warning: you might want to stock up on snacks and a cozy sweater before you start — because you won’t want to put it down!

LOVED this book! Thanks NetGalley and Hannah Murray for a chance to read this. FMC Anna was supposed to spend vacation with family, who bailed, in a rental home. But even better for us all when MMC Grant shows up thinking he's visiting his mom in said home... Two weeks of consensual D/s interactions. It's def erotica wrapped up with some humor and angst with a HEA. At 200 pages it was a great length and I didn't mind the 3rd person POV at all. Will def be checking out more from this author and I can't wait to read book 2 in this series since there are some great secondary characters that we've met!

A decent read.
I'm not usually in BDSM waters, but I like to break my genres from time to time. This one was a good read, but maybe the fact that I'm not into BDSM books a lot was the reason I didn't feel connected to the book at times, especially when the MCS decided to make their whole vacation a scene.
The spicy scenes were hot, but I wish I had a more emotional connection between them.
3 stars.

This was spicy and full of BDSM 🤌🏻🥵🌶 It was fantastic. First time reading this author. But I really enjoyed it

Well this book was definitely fun! There was an enjoyable amount of plot, even if it did feel rushed at points. The kink dynamic felt very well written and thought out. This honestly would be a good book for people wanting to start reading BDSM romance tropes to show a healthy line of consensual and proper communication dynamics. ( I know this isn’t an educational book, but hey it works! Lol)
Like others have said. The 3rd POV definitely pulled me out a bit… I would have preferred 1st POV to let my brain connect with it a little more.
I was giggling, blushing and dang near sweating through most of this book but the ending is what really hurt my rating. The instant love at the end felt so rushed. But over all I did enjoy this story!
Thank you Netgalley and Solitary Vice publishing, for providing me with an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts are my own and are in no way influenced by early access to this title.
