This was such a fun graphic novel—imagine The Librarians crossed with a wacky game show hosted by a more likable Willy Wonka. The story has a playful, slightly magical, game-like energy. I’d recommend this series to readers who love graphic novels filled with magic, puzzles, and playful adventure..

This was my first introduction to Mr. Lemoncello and I loved every bit of it. Great art work and a fun story what more could anyone want?

My 8 year old daughter read and reviewed this graphic novel for me. She shared that she enjoyed the plot of the book and that it was very unique. She said the graphics were wonderful and kept her glued to every page. When asked what her favorite part was, she couldn't decide and stated that she loved the whole book! We will be looking for more books in the series soon!
Thank you to Chris Grabenstein, Random House Children's Books, and NetGalley for the ARC.

an amazing book, really captures the essence of the orignal.
the only thing is that i would have liked it too be longer, and hint at the "uncle woody" betrayel.
and i would have liked more during the puzzels.
but the drawings were delightful, espailly the one of "uncle woody" instrision.
a very enjoyable read, and i would reccomend.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for letting me review this book. The Mr.Lemoncello series is one of my favorite kids’ series and the graphic novel makes the story come to life. I like how for the most part, all the kids work together to solve the puzzles. As the story progresses, it takes a few of them to realize the goods they made. I like how the kids fight for what’s right and what they believe in.

Another winner in the Mr lemon cello series. I love that the graphic novel makes this great story accessible for readers of all abilities. The literary references (including making Colby sharp into a cameo character) warm any bookworms heart. I’m excited to add this to my shelves for my students and my own children.

I've read this whole series and loved them. This graphic novel was well done. I would recommend this for readers who are reluctant to read chapter books.

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC.
This was a very fun graphic novel, very reminiscent of the TV Show The Librarians meets a game show with a zany host - a more likable Willy Wonka.
I think children from 7-12 maybe slightly older would enjoy this book/series. The graphic novel illustrations were a bit loud for myself where each page/frame had a high saturated color scheme with lots of action or detailed scenes. For some kids this age this is an A++ as far as the illustration goes.
The story was fun, definitely has that comedic element that’s similar to a children’s cartoon. I love the Librarian’s New Game that he creates, and the ‘bad’ kid/mom - characters feel real for grownups - think helicopter/Tiger parent who tries to take over/extert their power. A little close to home if you know what I mean!! 😅
I would recommend for kids who enjoy graphic novels with any sort of playful, slightly magical, game-like story play.

**I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review***
I LOVED this graphic novel! It was such a fun and quick read that I devoured it in one sitting.
While having read the print series originally, I don't think it is necessary to enjoy the story. It would give some familiarity with characters, but readers can still pick that up just from the graphic novel.
I can't wait to read a *hopeful* third volume in the future!

As a librarian, I loved the overall message this book. I liked that the students learned a valuable lesson about libraries and how to protect the right for people to access a variety of books and materials without restrictions or censorship. Overall, a great book for kids in any grade to read.

I really enjoyed reading this comic rendition of the chapter book Mr Lemoncello's Library Olympics. The illustrations are colorful and successfully follow the story. The little remarks from Mr Lemoncello are very funny and the whole book does a good job of teaching readers about dewey and some library and general history.

Thank you Random House Children's Books, Random House Graphic, and NetGalley for the advanced electronic review copy of this book. This is a second graphic novel adaptation of the beloved Mr. Lemoncello series and it was as fabulous as the first one! A never ending adventure and a gift to readers everywhere, shining with power of reading and importance of books and libraries. Can’t wait to share it with my students and hoping for another graphic novel adaptation volume.

As a school librarian, I'm always looking for graphic novels that would be a valuable addition to our school collection. When I requested this ARC, I hadn't read the original novels or Volume 1 of the graphic novel. While it was relatively easy to get acquainted with the characters, I do recommend having some background knowledge before diving into this volume. Some graphic novels can be enjoyed as stand-alones, but this one is not among them.
The plot was easy to follow and engaging. However, I have some concerns about the characters' behaviors throughout the story. We are living in a time when characters portrayed as snotty or unlikable can be viewed negatively by today's parents. I am definitely going back to read Volume 1 before deciding whether to add it to our collection.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced reader copy.

Another fantastic addition to the already amazing collection of Mr. Lemoncello. The graphic novel follows the original novel well giving access to the story to another type of reader.
Kyle and his friends are challenged by people around the country who say they could have escaped the library even faster. Mr. Lemoncello creates a library Olympics to test kids from different regions to see who truly has the skills but as things go awry, he seemingly gives up to Charles Chitlington's mother so Kyle and his friends have to fight to keep the library from being taken over.

I've read the chapter books and now read my first graphic novel of this series. I loved the illustrations and think kids will too. I'm glad the see the story stayed the same in the graphic novel. Will definitely be adding these to my students bookshelf.

I love when traditional novels are adapted to graphic novels. This one was no different. It is so fun to see Mr. Lemoncello live on through more students. I loved the Library Olympics so much because it was also super informative about why libraries are important and the importance of learning how a library works.

Yet another knock out hit with the 9 year old in my life just as much as the 11 and 12 year old students in my classroom. I'll have to get a physical copy or 3 as this already has a wait list.

I am a long-time fan of the Lemoncello series, and I have enjoyed seeing it reimagined in graphic novel form. The original Lemoncello books are very visual and contain a lot of descriptions of the library's contents that the graphic novels do a great job recreating. I also think they help young readers understand some of the references that may go over their heads in the texts.
Mr. Lemoncello's Library Olympics is the second book in the series and it brings Kyle and most of his friends from the first book back into the exciting world of Mr. Lemoncello's library games. This time, they are competing against library lovers from around the country who all want their shot at playing.
As the competition goes along, strange things are happening. Is someone trying to sabotage the contest? Why are books disappearing from the shelves?
This story has a good message about the importance of not banning books, and it's a fun adventure.

Mr. Lemoncello's Library Olympics is a total win for readers of all ages! The graphic novel adaptation brings Chris Grabenstein's imaginative world to life with vibrant illustrations, dynamic characters, and a fun, fast-paced storyline. The puzzles and challenges are clever and interactive, making you feel like part of the games. It celebrates teamwork, creativity, and a love of books in the most entertaining way.

The second in the series book is and excellent way to get students hooked on Mr. Lemoncello! The graphic novel is full of delightful colors and pictures with engaging characters and a storyline the keeps you reading! I love the references to past authors and books. Prior to today, I had only read the first book in the series. Now, I'm gonna have to read them all! I'm so glad it is summer... My librarian heart loves this book.
