Great Information
This book is loaded with a wealth of great information on foods that should be consumed, why we should eat them, and what the Bible says about them, as well as other food connections that affect our physical and mental health, such as spices and essential oils. There were also testimonies by author Jordan Rubin addressing his journey with illnesses and food. I greatly appreciated that the book is written in layman's terms for everyone's understanding
I especially enjoyed the "Don't Eat This" and "Eat This" chapters. However, I struggled a little with some of the spiritual aspects that, in my humble opinion, felt a little new-agey to me. But the valuable information throughout the book still makes it a five-star read. And for anyone desiring to look further into the book, there is also an accompanying study guide written by the authors.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this book. All comments and opinions are entirely my own and voluntary.

I appreciated the opportunity to read this book as it confirmed most of the same information I've read on this topic elsewhere regarding food, fat, and conventional eating. What made this book stand out was that it provided helpful summaries in breaking down the different types of food by clearly explaining what to avoid and what to seek out. By avoiding common medical jargon, it made the subject of nutrition approachable and attainable. The biblical references throughout the book served as an ongoing reminder that our bodies are created by God and that our Creator knows best what will allow us to flourish and what could be inhibiting our health. It was nice to see Christian health professionals profess their faith openly and acknowledge that God is the source of wisdom and truth.
While the diet and exercise portions of this book contained useful knowledge, I struggled with some of the content on mindsets and declarative prayer as those bordered on New Apostolic Reformation thinking the way they were presented. I was also uneasy regarding the treatments for cancer, so I really found the value of this book to be in the first half of it. I would be curious to learn more from reviewers who may be health professionals as I would not be coming from a place of expertise. Even if I don't end up adopting all of the changes advocated for in The Biblio Diet, I'm thankful I can have a better understanding of what our bodies need. Christians who are interested in nutrition will find the explanations on what to eat and why to be informative as presented from a biblical perspective.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book about Life-Changing habits for a healthier life with insights from the Bible! I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to better their life as well as their relationship with God!

✨Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC of this book to give my honest review. ✨
Very rich with information. I have learned so much about foods, herbs, plants, oils etc. and feel quite confident in what I would like to eat now, and how I can use natural sources as medicine. I’m quite picky with my 5 Star reviews, so this is why it isn’t a full 5 stars. There were a couple of things I did not love (e.g. using certain scripture like “by your wounds we are healed” where people in the word-of-faith movement use as LITERAL healing, which is not what this verse is meant for).
All in all, it was very educational and I find it super useful for being mindful on how I shop for food from now on.

Jordan Rubin and Joshua Axe share a well-researched and convincing approach to living a healthy life by following ancient principles. They don’t just tell you what to do—they explain the reasons behind their advice, blending modern science with biblical teachings. The book helps readers understand the "why," giving a simple and clear guide to better health. It aims to empower and inspire hope and healing, focusing on not just the body but also the mind and spirit.
What I especially liked about the book is how thorough it is. It covers difficult topics like metabolism and long-term health issues in a balanced way, using both scientific facts and faith. The practical tips are easy to follow, and it’s clear that the authors genuinely want to help people. This book is a must-read for anyone who wants to make meaningful, lasting changes to their health.

This book began really well and I really liked the book for all it promoted — a biblical diet of meat and grain, fruit and vegetables with some dairy (and especially fermented dairy). I appreciated the stance on not eating pork and shellfish as those are found in the Bible but it’s rare to find people who stand by it in the Christian circles these days. I also found it good to remind the reader of how food was prepared before; there were no processed foods, additives and sugar-laden things. Eliminating those from one’s diet and eating meat, vegetables, fruit, grain (whole wheat & sourdough) is certainly good for everyone but also it’s biblical.
I did have some issues with the content, though. For example, the authors suggest eating a variety of fruit and berries, which is very good, but they recommend lots of tropical/exotic fruit. This, I think, is not exactly a biblical way of eating but rather, people ate very locally (I guess except the kings and rulers). How they recommended essential oils also bothered me as they recommend consuming the internally and essential oils are usually not meant for that, meaning that it can actually be harmful to use essential oils in the way the authors suggest. The authors also claim that this diet heals all sorts of illnesses, cancer included, and yet towards the end of the book one of the writes how they got seriously ill — this somehow doesn’t add up.

In The Bibio Diet, Jordan Rubin and Dr. Josh Axe have created a new Biblio theme diet to help readers obtain their best health. This book is written by a team of two top nutrition experts. In the book, Jordan shared how he battled Crohn’s disease starting in his late teens. He also got the worst news 15 years later that he had an incurable cancer. He was 32 years old and he just had launched a new book and a television show. He had pain coming from a hernia near his groin. He was healthy and in shape. The doctors suggested that he try a conventional treatment or he could die within 3 months. He decided to rely on God and he gave God 40 days to heal him. He took a radical diet and detoxification route. He forgave people and asked for forgiveness. They did three different blood tests and everything came back zero and the CT scan showed he was cancer free. He looked at what Biblical people ate and he helped discover the Biblio diet. He would eat only what God created and eat only food in the form that is healthy for our bodies. He enclosed a whole list of food that we can consume to be healthier. In the book, Josh shared how his mother had stage 4 breast cancer and it had spread to her lymph nodes. She was health and a swim instructor and gym teacher. He was in the 8th grade. After she was declared cancer free. This led him to want to study nutrition. The cancer did return 10 years later and he came across one of Jordan’s books. They tried some of Josh’s suggestions on cleansing her system and eventually her tumor shrunk and she became cancer free.
In the book, he also discussed how he almost died in 2022. He tried a stem cell injection treatment to fix a back injury He suffered from an issue that caused him to become bedridden. It was discovered that he had a spinal infection that was eating away at his bones. They thought he would be disabled or could even die from this. He opened up about his approach to activate a healing mindset and the action plan he lived out.
I would recommend this life changing book to anyone who is ready to change their diet and wants to improve their overall health. The book contained recipes to try and a 7-day starter program. They discussed healing leaves and essential oils. They explored working out and different exercises to try. The book was very insightful and powerful in exploring the ways we can use this diet to improve our lifestyles. It definably led me to want to try the program and to see what changes my body felt and experienced.

Live Long - improve topsoil
Master Metabolism- *when* we eat matters
Reduce Pain - plenty of information on reducing pain throughout the book
Fight Depression - foods that cause depression and foods that seem to fight off depression, eating with someone is important
Cancer - recipe, stories, and it's a whole body, mind, soul effort
Easy to understand and follow. Not a whole lot of new information, but what was new to me is impressive. The Scripture and personal accounts kept me reading. Plus, the diet is thorough and recipe for healing tea a huge surprise.
I was asked by Worthy Publishing to read this book for my honest review. I have shared snippets from this book with friends and family. I feel it does contain important information and hope worth passing on!

This book was full of information! I’ve read many, many Christian weight loss books before and none of them have been like this. This one is different in that it gives you a list of spices, for example, that have healing and healthy properties, but it doesn’t stop there. These guys dig deeper and tell you why. They give you the reference in the Bible as well as the scientific explanation. I thought it was fascinating about the healing leaves, never in my life would I have thought to drink fruit tree leaves. Or the shapes of the fruits/vegetables being for certain things, such as carrots resemble eyes when sliced or grapes look like the little things in our lungs. This book has opened my eyes to a whole new way of looking at what I put into my body. I like that there are recipes in the back with an eating plan, and they give you a website to visit. I’m hoping the website will be live once the book is published.
Really the only criticism I have is that I can’t always afford organic or raw honey, or whatever the item is, I know it’s best. My flesh is willing but my wallet cannot, haha! It was a little disheartening because it felt that was the only way they wanted you to consume foods, which I understand why, but it does encourage me to choose better foods to ingest. I would love to have this book physically so that I can highlight, make notes, and mark it for quick reference.

Jordan Rubin and Dr. Josh Axe give readers a look into a healthy lifestyle from a biblical perspective. Not only does it talk about the foods we should and shouldn't eat but also the use of essential oils, fasting, herbs and spices, and the use of fruit leaves to cure cancer. If you're really interested in understanding the way food affects our bodies, you'll enjoy this book. Also, the biblical stories and reasons behind a lot of this was interesting as well.
Thank you NetGalley and Worthy Books for this eARC.. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

I have read books by both Rubin and Axe and have enjoyed them. They are both natural health advocates and this book is "a dietary guide to the way God intended us to eat and live--flourishing". The majority of this book consists of chapters on what types of foods to eat and not eat. They also have a chapter with a seven day eating plan and some recipes. Other chapters are about the related lifestyle aspects including essential oils, herbs, mindset and exercise. As a certified holistic nutritionist, I agree with the vast majority of their recommendations. They recommend a whole-foods diet, eliminating highly processed foods and incorporating fasting. As the title implies, this book is based not only on modern science but also on principles they have found in the Bible. As a Christian myself, this was in concert with my own faith, but might be off-putting for non-Christians. They recommend following the Old Testament laws given to the ancient Jews of abstaining from pork and shellfish. They give health reasons for this, but I am not convinced. I still enjoy locally caught shrimp and oysters as well as some pork on occasion. In my opinion as a nutritionist, avoiding these foods is not necessary for a healthy diet.
This book is great as a succinct overview of what constitutes a healthy diet and lifestyle. I received a complementary advanced copy of the book from the publisher via NetGalley.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this for an honest review!
As a Christian, I loved having a book relate a healthy diet to how God intended for it to be.
Things I loved about this book:
- Each chapter ended with a recap of what some action items need to be based on the information.
- A shopping list is provided for you, so you don't have to filter through the whole book again to make one yourself.
- A meal plan that incorporates all the information given.
- Recipes so that you can make the foods with the ingredients talked about in the book.
- Each time information was given, it was backed up by studies that have been done.
- This book did not only cover foods good for your body, but also ways to tackle mental health issues you may be having.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading through the information in this book. It did open my eyes to foods I have been consuming that might be making my own health issues worse.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!
This book was exactly what I needed to get my focus back on the Lord in the nutritional aspect of my life. I appreciated the deep dive into food in the Bible, and how we can translate that into our meals now. I will definitely be recommending this book to anyone I can.
