This is fabulously written. It is fun and engaging as well as intelligent. I love the author's vivid writing. The world came to life! Highly recommend.

this is a sadly a dnf for now as i’ve attempted multiple times to get through this book and always end up putting it down. i loved shepard’s contemporary romances and i was highly anticipating this book but it simply isn’t catching my attention at the moment

This book ruined me in the most beautiful, soul-clenching way. It’s not soft, but it is devastatingly tender in its own right. The writing is lyrical, brutal, and breathtaking. The world feels mythic and vast, yet the emotional core is intensely personal. I devoured it and loved it. I already can’t wait for the next one.
