I wish the colors had been associated with the normal feelings we would associate them (some were but not all). However, my toddler enjoyed calling out the colors and trying to guess the emotions.

The Many Colors of Cam E. Chameleon was cute. I love the illustrations and colours associated with emotions. It was rhythmic to read out loud to my child. I liked the variety of emotions. The only aspect I did not like (and it was not for all the emotions) is I did not always like the descriptive words. I received a review copy from Teacher Created Materials through NetGalley. All opinions are 100% my own.

This was a cute and simple book. I read it to my 2 year old and he liked the colors and expressing the emotions as we went through it.

This book about feelings is super cute. I loved the colorful pages and descriptive situations that might bring about these feelings. There were basic feelings such as angry and sad, but less common feelings like disappointed and shy were represented also. I would use this in a preschool or kindergarten classroom.

This book goes through colors and emotions using Cam the chameleon as our main character! This is a very simple and easy book to read to review emotions. I think something that could make this book even better would be to talk more about the colors that are being used to describe the feelings! I do love that this book makes it clear that all emotions are ok to feel and they are totally normal! I also enjoy that the book describes some of these emotions and how they may feel in more ways than just naming the emotion.

4 1/2 stars for this bright, colorful and fun book for toddlers to begin learning about emotions, colors and adjectives!

This book about feelings was beautifully illustrated. We had fun imitating the emotions Cam showed us on each page. I appreciate the sentiment that every feeling is normal and okay to feel. It’s okay to feel frustrated! Happy! Sad.

My only complaint on this book is it ends so abruptly. It almost felt like we were missing a final wrap up page that pulled all the emotions together, or highlighted all the colors and emotions of Cam and that they make us who we are? But it just ended.

Otherwise we really liked this book. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Awesome book! There are truly so many effective elements in this book, and I have nothing bad to say about it. The first positive thing I noticed about the way this book was written was ending each page with: "It's okay to feel [emotion] like Cam". This sets such a good foundation for little ones learning about their emotions because it doesn't define certain emotions as "good" or "bad"; instead, all emotions are valid and normal. Another great thing was the wide range of emotions that this book covered. What's even better is every emotion that was listed was very age-appropriate, and I have zero doubt that kids will be able to read this book with their caregivers and think, "I know that emotion!" Lastly, the illustrations fit this book *perfectly*. I liked the many colors that the illustrator used to convey the many emotions that we can feel, and the visual representations of each emotion are highly effective. especially for a younger audience. Bravo!!

Bright and simple for your early years of childhood. The author made a thoughtful setup. Colors and words match as the characters shows the various feelings.

Has potential to be a standard board book for your littles.

Take a chance on this one.

A really adorable little book on feelings and emotions. As a Mama to 2 little girls with Autism and a 14 month old baby, I felt this was incredibly poignant and a lovely gentle read for bedtime.

This was super adorable and a great way to talk about and introduce emotions to my toddler. My 2.5 yo really liked it, and we discussed each emotion and acted them out as we read. The illustrations were vibrant and interesting for the younger kids- this is most ideal for ages 2-4 I’d say! Very cute though and definitely worth adding to your shelf!

This book was adorable! Cam is so cute and the description of feelings was a perfect. I am always looking for books for my nieces and nephews and definitely will add this to the list. I also love the guide at the end for adults on how to discuss feelings and how our emotions effect children!
