Nice and easy to follow story. Even though I haven't read the previous books it didn't affect the experience.

I think the narration of the FMC could benefit from less winning.

Anyway I recommend for in-between heavy books when you want to clear your mid.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I once again requested a book in a series I haven't read yet. Despite not fully knowing the backstory it was easy enough to follow along and I really liked the characters. The banter was great, the accents in the audiobook were good. This was a very feel good read for me and I will be reading more in this series!

I cannot get enough of the Enchanted Highlands series! They're cozy, romantic, with some magic and adventure, and a bit of spice.

"Wild Scottish Gold" starts off, unlike the others in the series, with a bit of insta-lust. What was meant to be a one night stand on an adventure to a new life turns a disaster, then love. I love a good "he falls first" trope, and especially when he is a simp for her. I love the support and willingness to apologize that all the men in O'Malley's books display. Men, take note - these books are THE blueprint.

Our narrators once again knock it out of the park. I will never not listen to these audiobooks - they are fantastic the first time around and to revisit later. Especially during the holidays.

This is my first book in this series - it was very fun and I think I will read others.

Goldsmith Kaia moves to Loren Brae and happens to be rivals with Thane, the man that she unknowingly had a one night stand with.

I liked the little bit of paranormal thrown in. Spicy and very fun.

Amy Landon and Will Watt do an excellent job with narration - this was a true pleasure to listen to!

Cozy, fun, and a little magical. This was a really easy, fast read. It is also apparently part of a series (which I didn't realize before reading it) but can absolutely be read as a standalone and still understand the world. The magic was unexpected and made the story feel memorable, compared to other similar books out there. If you like Scottish romances and enjoy magical realism, you'll love this. Thanks Netgalley for the ALC!

Tricia O'Malley is taking us to Loren Brae for a magical romance. This book has it all - friendship, gorgeous creatures, romance, rivals to lovers. quite some spice and a whole lot of magic.
I'd love to live in this world and be a part of the community. Absolutely magical!
Thanks to Dreamscape Select, the author and NetGalley to grant me access to the audiobook!

I love this series. Love, love, love. And it’s just starting to really amp up the drama. But mostly I love this series because of Will Watt and the ghost coo, of course.

This world just keeps getting better. I loved the MCs. A steamy meet cute to start the book of on the right foot and the fiery chemistry remains as these two share a while not more than a blacksmith's shop. The magic in this little town is unique and interesting asking with all the characters, new and old.
As with all prior the nauseous are spot on.
Looking forward to the next book!

I have been a huge fan of this series from the jump and this is maybe my favorite. The banter in this was top tier, I am still thinking about it. This one felt like it leaned a bit more into the paranormal fantasy aspect than previous books but I think it worked really well.

I really wanted to like this book but in the end, it fell flat for me. Narrator did an excellent job with the material

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Wild Scottish Gold (The Enchanted Highlands Book 7)
by Tricia O'Malley
The audio book of this is enhanced by the voice presentation. The voices add to the tone and romantic aspects. The story shows the nature of finding magic in your family history. The idea that magic can only be protected by a secret society is nuanced and imaginative.
The characters are realistic and entrancing. The romance spicy and erotic.

Oh my goodness! I have loved this series! The fun, self discovery, romance, Scottish accents 😉 found family and the cutest familiars are all the best! I loved the couple in this story because they gave each other space and time to find themselves in order to be with each other 🥰🥰

I really love this story, and the narrator, Will Watt, could read me a grocery list and it would be spicy. However, the speed of each narrator was so different that it was rather distracting and frustrating. This was really sad because it takes a lot away from a wonderful story. It's such a toss-up, do I read the next one in the series and miss out on Will Watt's amazing voice? Or do I listen to it and deal with the speed whiplash between the two narrators? Anyway, another gorgeous story in a wonderful series. I've really enjoyed the continuation of the main theme and how the past characters come into this story. However, the hedgehogs steal the show!

Big thanks to NetGalley and Tricia O'Malley for a copy of this audio book. This is my honest opinion.

So I went into Wild Scottish Gold kinda of blind. I read through the description and was very intrigued! I saw ‘Scottish” and I pushed request! I did not research the book so I wasn’t aware that it was the 7th book in the series. I felt that although I didn’t read the previous books, I still had a decent grasp as to what was going on. I feel if I had read the previous books I would have gotten a better insight on the side characters and world building. I wasn’t expecting the magical aspect of this book, Clyde… Clyde threw me for a loop. That is the moment I said, wait a minute and proceed to looked up the book, then everything made sense! I love anything involving Scotland so I would have read the book regardless! It was a good ride and has already been recommended a to a friend.

5 star magical read!!

I received this book as an audio ARC from @netgalley. I have seen this series on social media and Kindle Unlimited.

I am kicking myself for not picking up a book by @triciaomalleyauthor sooner!!

This book has it all and then some!!! I thought it was going to be a meet cute, one night stand turns into more romance.. it was so much more!!!

The FMC is fierce, loyal, goal setter and a learn for your past kind of gal. She definitely rolls with the punches and has that can do attitude!

The MMC is everything you would want from our Scottish Lad. Broody, protective, ask questions later, and caring.

But the real MVP is Murdoch. Talk about insta-love!

If you love whimsical, funny, charming romance with a magical spin.. pick this book up now!! Now I’m off to read the beginning of this series!!

Kaia moved to Scotland to start over—but finds herself repeating old mistakes.

I requested this book because of its intriguing Scottish setting, not realizing it was the seventh in a series. While this affected my overall experience, parts of the story still worked well as a standalone. I especially appreciated the magical elements and the rich worldbuilding, though I feel I would have connected more deeply with the plot had I read the earlier installments.

The familiars and found family aspects were standout features for me, and I found the returning characters particularly engaging—clearly beloved figures from previous books. The narration was excellent, with the Scottish accent adding an immersive and authentic touch.

Though I may have started out of order, this book has sparked my interest in the rest of the series, and I plan to go back and read the earlier titles.

The town of Loren Brae is a special one, and Kaia finds out just how special. Between the cottage she inherited and the magic, this book kept me wanting more from this town and these friends.

Before moving, Kaia had a passionate night with Thane. They went in separate ways, only fate or what have you has other plans. What do you do when the man you can’t stop thinking about turns out to be the owner of the forge you're working in? Can they keep things professional?
It’s a fun tale of love, fear, independence and spice.
Our beloved side characters show their faces as well. We can’t forget about Clyde now, can we?

The audio is always a delight. Will and Amy bring these stories to their voices, and it’s incredible to get lost in this world of magic and friendship.

I was able to listen to this as an audiobook, and the narrator did a fantastic job and especially our male narrator because who doesn’t want a Scotsman were whispering in their ear.
This is about our FMC chasing her dreams and finding herself in her string after making some youthful mistakes. She inherited a house that gives her a new chance for her dream, but along with that comes some magical mischief and mayhem.
