This was a DNF for me. I might have like Wild Scottish Gold this if it wasn't an audiobook. Unfortunately, I did not like the narration. I especially had trouble with the female narrator. She read so quickly that I checked to see if my app was set to 1.5 speed (it wasn't). She also had so little emotion in her voice that it sounded like she was reading a recipe. If you are going to read this book, I recommend a paper or digital version, not the audiobook. Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy in return for my honest opinion.

The more of this series I read, the more I fall in love with it. Great romance, fun characters, and a little magic. It felt a bit rushed at points but thoroughly enjoyable read. Narrators did an excellent job.

I received an arc from netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I love returning to Loren Brae with this series. This was another adorably quirky story. I loved Thane's relationship with his niece, it was quite adorable. The workplace romance was great and the two main characters had good chemistry. I feel like this is the spiciest in this series so far. I adored the raven familiar and seeing all the other creatures make appearances. The audio narration is as always steller and I loved the addition of a forge witch to the group. My only dislike was the one night stand trope, it's just not a favorite of mine. I think it makes the relationship too sudden. Overall an enjoyable 4 stars. Now when can I get Graham and Agnus' story.

This is such a fun series/ book. The myth, magic, mayhem makes for a great read and the men are perfect for their women. If you love Scottish mythology, friendship, and romance this is for you.
As for the narrators, they were great. The narrators had great pacing, voice acting, and accents.

This series always makes me smile. A Whirlwind romance, Clyde, and other magics... you just can't go wrong.

I was so happy to had been able to listen to this audiobook. I’ve loved all the books in this series but this one might be my favorite. Kaia’s story really resonated with me because of her journey to self acceptance and being able to trust and rely on other people after being hurt because she fell in love with the wrong person.. Thane was not what I was expecting but i might like him more then Ramsey (willow’s boyfriend). These characters are truly amazing and I’ll be so sad when this series ends. The audiobook was amazing the narrators sounded exactly like what I’d imagine them to sound like. Truly wonderful job!!

5/5 star! I absolutely loved this book. Wild Scottish Gold is book 7 in The Enchanted Highlands series. I have read every book in this series and have thoroughly enjoyed all of them. This one did not disappoint. I listened to the audio book and I could not turn it off. I finished it within 24 hours. I absolutely cannot wait for book 8 in the series to be released. Thank you so much to Netgalley, Tricia O’Malley and Lovewrite Publishing for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook.

Dual Narration- Will Watt & Amy Landon
Fabulous narration.

Such a fun magical listen. This story was very enjoyable. Kaia and Thane’s story was full of fun creatures, banter, humor, magic, and lots of heartwarming moments.

I love this series. I have yet to not enjoy one of the books. I really love Tricia O’Malleys writing style.

I did not care for the female narrator at all. It’s like she was having trouble breathing as she was reading this. Didn’t even get to the male narrator because I just couldn’t handle her.

I always love a good visit to my favorite Scottish land of magic- Loren Brae, with another visit to the Enchanted Highlands series. As always, my Scot-heart just adores this sweet and cozy fantasy world. Found family, Scottish lore, plenty of banter, and of course some magical romance- it’s always so much fun and always so charming. Kaia and Thane, the fierce new to town goldsmith and the grumpy Scotsman rival. These romances are always so fun and sweet- and of course, full of magic. And my favorite animals. I loved Kaia’s raven Murdoch…and of course, I’m always here for a Clyde, my favorite highland coo, making an appearance. WIld Scottish Gold is another great addition to this unique cozy fantasy world. Another great visit to Loren Brae!

The audio narration of this was delightful. Will Watt is always epically delicious and swoony - that Scottish brogue melts me every time. He's narrated the entire series, and every time I fall more and more in love with his voice and the delicious Scotsmen he portrays. Amy Landon has also narrated the entire series, and she's always charming. She's SUPER expressive, which I think really works for the content of the stories. And both do a great job with the varying accents. The narration is beautifully produced.

I received the arc of the audiobook and I think that really determined my overall experience. While I found it compelling and easy to listen to plot wise, I also found the female narrator to be very whiny whenever she was trying to display a different emotion. Sexy, sad, angry; it didn’t matter, she just sounded whiny. That experience automatically took off one star for me. This series is fairly formulaic and the author seemed to stretch for a reason for the main couple to struggle but overall I enjoyed the newest edition and I’ll likely read the next, just not on audio!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this arc. All opinions are my own.

Another Highlands hit from Tricia O'Malley. I was a little thrown off by the flow in the beginning but loved this magical Scottish romance.

I love this series so much, and Wild Scottish Gold was another great addition.

It's cozy fantasy filled with small town Scotland, rivals to lovers and they're both blacksmiths. I had so much fun with this one. Kaia and Thane were a perfect pairing. She's sweet and he's grumpy, these two were the missing piece the other needed. I also enjoyed that they both were competing for the same job because they are both blacksmiths. I thought the rivals to lovers was written really well and the chemistry sparked off the page. I think these two definitely have the steamiest story of the series so far.

The plot was fun and interesting. It kept my attention. I also liked Kaia's raven familiar.

Narrators Will Watt and Amy Landon did fantastic. I really enjoyed their voices and thought they worked nicely together. Plus they embodied the characters which helped immerse me into the story more.

A great addition to this series but I think could also be read as a standalone. Would recommend!
