I’m going to be honest I went into this book with zero knowledge of what it was about. Only thing I did know was that it was written by Jasmine Mas. Who I discovered earlier this year thanks to Blood of Hercules (which I loved). I decided to deep dive Jasmine’s back catalogue and came across that she has a reverse harem shift romance. My brain: “SAY LESS!”
Then I was lucky enough to get an arc of the re-release version of this book from Canary Street Press (BIG THANK YOU BTW). I figured this must be fate. Immediately starts reading and then proceeds to devour it in less than 24 hours (also proceeded to pick up the sequel through KU 😬) Listen I need to know what happens after that cliffhanger SUE ME.
I know this book is older and being re-released. But I have a serious question. Why are there so many negative reviews?!?!!! Did y’all not read the same book I did?!?!! Clearly not because let me tell you this book was crack. I seriously thought I would be sitting down to read a few chapters. But here I am now about to pull an all nighter just read the next book.
Psycho Shifters was SO GOOD!!! It hooked me from the get good and didn’t let me stop reading. Our FMC is not only hilarious but one of the strongest characters I’ve read in awhile. I see some of y’all complaining that she’s winey. Can you give our girl a break dear god. She’s allowed to be winey after all she’s endured. You can’t honestly tell me you wouldn’t come out of what she’s been through without being a smidge winey. I SWEAR.
Besides or FMC, all our wonderful boys are also fabulous. They are each so uniquely different and I can’t wait to see the series progress and dive deeper into all of their backgrounds. I also loved the magic system. I’m so used to shifter romance stories being only wolves. It made me so happy that each character was a uniquely different animal shifter. Brought such a fun and refreshing experience to the story.
Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this. Please read this immediately. My only disclaimer would be though to please check trigger warnings before tackling just in case you struggle with topics or abuse and SA.

I tried multiple times to get into this one and for some reason, I just couldn’t. My second dnf of the year.

Loved all the dark humour/sarcasm and tension between the characters (this is a slow-burn, why choose romance). An easy, fast-paced, and entertaining read, albeit some questionable writing (just remember to lower your expectations because this is just a fun read).
I enjoyed reading all four POVs and how distinct each character was with their own sense of humour and their backstories on what shaped them to be who they are now.

Soooo what the heck did I just read, and why do I want to continue the series??
SO MUCH of this is just generic shifter filler, but with very odd choices of modern language (and lots of bathroom and vomiting details- no thanks)

This was a very captivating story that I couldn’t put down. It is so different from other books that I was enjoying every second. It is full spice and suspense. This cliffhanger ending was something else! I hope the second book is as good as this one.

Psycho Shifters was so addictive; it had everything I didn't know I needed, starting with not just one but three male Alphas. I was loving the why-choose energy. Plus, I appreciate how protective they all were, even though they claimed over and over again how they didn't trust Sadie.
Jax is probably the sweetest; he takes care of Sadie and always makes sure that she eats. He's got strong protective instincts and almost feels like the leader.
Cobra clearly has past trauma, but he's probably my favorite. He will hurt those who harm other people. Jax and Cobra have a strong relationship; they are loyal as well as protective of each other.
Ascher is semi-mysterious; he's newer to the group. Although we get to see his possessive side.
I also loved that Sadie wasn't the typical FMC that's a strong warrior. She isn't trained, and she absolutely hates running. Sadie is relatable, like if a normal person was thrown into a fantasy world.
I'm looking forward to continuing this series because I'm fully hooked. If you enjoyed reading The Never List, then you'll probably enjoy this as well!

Beautiful, breathtaking enticing and wonderful in glad to have read this and miss the way reading this for the first time made me feel, thankyou for this chance and this world

This is one of those fantasy books that is good and at some parts you wonder why you keep reading but it is just so addictive. We love a good book boyfriend though and this gave that.

I wanted to love this so so much but I didn't and that super bums me out.
The premise is perfect. The plot itself is fantastic and that's what drew me to it. The problem is the characters. I got so tired of hearing how tiny and deliciate the fmc is. It gives major Shannon like the river vibes. And the guys were just jerks. Not even in a sweet they are trying to care for her way. They go from absolutely hating her to being insanely controlling literally trying to shove food in her mouth.
I did listen to the audio book while I read and while the book itself got a three the audio gets a five. The narrators were absolutely fantastic and truly brought the story to life. If it wasn't for the previously mentioned issues I would be obsessed.

This was a fun, easy read with writing that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I liked the FMC’s inner thoughts and the omegaverse setup. The start felt a lot like Blood of Hercules, but it eventually found its own voice. The MMCs were intriguing, though I’m still unsure how the relationship dynamics will play out. The ending left me curious for the next book. A solid pick if you’re in the mood for something light, a little cringy, and entertaining.

Psycho Shifters by Jasmine Mas (Audiobook + New Edition)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Okay, so, Jasmine Mas did it again. I devoured the audiobook of Psycho Shifters and was instantly hooked from the growl-worthy first chapter to the unhinged, chaotic shifter drama that followed. If you loved Blood of Hercules (like I did), this is another reverse harem dream that does not disappoint. Sadie is amazing! She's the FMC with claws, trauma, and alpha energy that takes zero crap, and I loved every second of her rise. Jax, Cobra, and Ascher are each phenomenal and terrible in their own rights. The tension? The banter? The feral vibes? Chef’s. kiss.
Can we take a moment for the new edition dropping June 24? It. Is. STUNNING. I preordered it months ago just to display it and whisper sweet nothings to the cover. :) Haha!
Audiobook listeners, this one is so good! The narration adds so much grit and emotion. You’ll be pacing your kitchen, gasping mid-dishes, and wondering how fast you can get to book two.
Warning: You may experience uncontrollable grinning, aggressive bookmarking of spicy scenes, and a sudden need to challenge the local alpha.

Despite usually not liking reverse harem, being exceedingly picky with problematic
MMCs, and taking issue with the female main character being “not like other girls”, I could not put this down. Jasmine Mas has real talent for writing edible story lines that you can’t help but tear through like a bag of salty potato chips. It still needs a little tweaking and editing, and stylistically I would not necessarily call this style of prose unforgettable. That said, I found it to be a romp and unexpectedly enjoyable. This NEEDS to be marketed to the same circles that like the Zodiac Academy, I think it would find significant success there. Thank you!

Thank you to Harlequin Audio @htp_hive @htpbooks Jasmine Mas for the #gifted ALC for an honest review. #hiveinfluencer
I listened to this audiobook and it was so good! Mollie Stark, Jaime Lincoln Smith, Teddy Hamilton and Jeremy York did such a fantastic job. I love when each main character gets a narrator, it helps me differentiate between all the characters and it makes listening a lot more fun.
I really liked Sadie. I loved her inner monologue and how she was sarcastic. She was also very strong and independent. Sadie endured years of abuse. She knew what she had to do to survive and would get into a certain mindset when it came time for her training. I loved when she would prove the alpha males wrong. I knew she’d get a badass shifter form.
There are three alphas that Sadie has to room and train with, Jax, Ascher and Cobra. They each have their own personality and relationship with Sadie. I, personally, loved Jax the most. He was the one to warm up to Sadie the quickest and was very protective of her. As time went on, all the alpha males saw who Sadie truly was and it made them all become protective of her. They each have their own stories and backgrounds that I hope we get more into in the next book.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I am very excited to read the rest of this series, especially since this one ends with a cliffhanger. I would recommend it if you enjoy the omegaverse and shifters. If you’ve read Blood of Hercules, this does have a similar feel to it in the beginning. So, if you enjoyed that book, I’m sure you’d enjoy this one as well.

3.5 stars rounded up 4
2 out of five for spice
The setting in this story and the unique of the main characters were the things that grabbed me the most while reading. The realm was very cold and had a lot of medieval aspects but then would have bits of technology mostly from other realms, so a mix of old and new. The characters and the different alpha shifters were all so different, their appearance before and after they shifted were unique and fascinating, not to mention powers they have, very cool. Sadi has had a really tough and cruel start to life and while she might be the first female alpha, things do not get easier for her. I was just waiting for something to turn around for her, a break and just routing for her. Her appearance is so cool, the red eyes very intense and definitely goes along with her personality.
I did want some more world building and more information from the plot to be revealed, there were still too many things that were left hanging, plus the big cliffhanger at the end, I wanted a few more things a little wrapped up. I am still very interested about where the story and characters are going to go and will be picking up the second book in this fantasy shifter romance.
I received an ebook, via Netgalley. This review is my own honest opinion.

Thank you netgalley for the opportunity to read this book.
The book starts off with the FMC Sadie who is an orphan living with her sister under the rule of an abusive man named dick. Sadie is taken away and tested to see is she is a beta or a null by a mysterious person. She ends up at an academy to train because she is the first female Alpha. Sadie encounters many trials and troubles with the other hard headed Alphas.
This book had a potential to be very addicting and thrilling adventure. But unfortunately the syntax , plot holes, and immature writing style made this story hard to get through. The FMC was constantly stating how small and dainty she was. Also I found the use of calling women sluts constantly a little odd and uncalled for.

This took me a little bit to get into, but once I did I couldn't put it down! I loved the way Sadie kept fighting for herself despite everything she went through, and how despite the other alphas treating her like crap she just kept pushing them.
The relationships between them are layered and complex, but Sadie is so much more than any of them bargained for. Each alpha has something to offer, and she slowly starts to want each of them, but they've been holding back already without her knowing. I was not ready for that betrayal at the end, holy crap!

This book was such a great time. I am a big fan of Jasmine Mas after Blood of Hercules so when I saw this I was so excited. And it didn’t disappoint.
This story was crazy in the best way. A lot of twists and turns but the humor is were it is at. If there is one thing I love about Jasmine Max writing it the characters. Sadie is a strong willed, hilarious, badass main character. I loved her sassiness. And all of the Alphas are clearly defined characters with their own issues. While there isn’t as much spice and you would expect ( there is some MM action) I need to see where this series goes. While this book will not be everyone’s cup of tea , it is definitely mine.
Thank you to NetGalley, Jasmine Maas, and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the ARC

This… started rough. The formatting was challenging, but once I got over that hump, the writing and syntax… left something to be desired. The writing was very immature and didn’t always follow the general rules of grammar, especially at the beginning. The main character is a bit immature, but that’s part of the story so no issue there. She’s feisty and sassy and the dialogue reflects that.
Once I pushed through the first quarter of the book, I actually started to enjoy the story. It seems very much like it’s going to be a why choose, which makes sense considering the content is shifters. The plot was interesting, with a couple of twists and turns. There’s a good bit of spice, but nothing too wild. Enough to keep the book steamy while proceeding with the plot.
The characters are… interesting. Sadie is immature and spicy, and the other alphas all have different personalities. I suspected something was amiss pretty early on, but the twist is pretty well done. I’m curious to see how the fae queen fits into this. One of those I’m not sure if I’ll read the rest of the series based on the writing, but I’m interested enough in the plot that I might.
All in all, this is a decently enjoyable plot but pretty immature writing, which is why it receives the 3⭐️ from me.

Okay. So.
Was this well written? No. Did the world building make sense? No. Was every female character outside of the FMC so two dimensional as to be almost offensive? Very much yes.
However.
Look, this book is silly, outlandish and exactly what it set out to be. For all its flaws (Ascher I’m begging you to know two words beyond princess and slut), it’s so damn addictive and honestly I had a fun time. Come for vibes and enjoy the ride. Would be great for an Emily Rath fan looking for more fantasy/paranormal.
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the arc in exchange for a honest review

Wow, just wow. I absolutely gobbled up this series. When I wasn't working, I was reading this book and the rest of the series in all of my free time. If you are a fan of Why Choose books, you MUST add this to your TBR. The plot was fun, adventurous, and really put the characters through the ringer. This series is kind of a slow burn, as the characters don't fully get together until the end. But still highly, highly recommend reading this!!
