After the death of her husband, Theo, Anna has been desperate to give her teenage daughter, Sadie, a tranquil life. It’s not easy letting go of Theo, but she knows she must for her daughter’s sake. The last thing she expects is to meet another guy, but that’s what happens. Only six months after her husband’s death, she finds herself engaged to Parker. Everyone, including Sadie, thinks it’s too sudden but Anna is determined to make a new life with Parker and her daughter.
Then, strange things start happening. Items belonging to Theo are left around the house. Her daughter’s picture was torn up. Anna wonders if someone is so angry about her upcoming wedding that they’d do something like this. Or maybe Sadie is rebelling against the marriage. Whatever is the reason, Anna is scared for her life as well as Sadie’s.

Talk about a page-turner. I couldn’t put this one down. I had to know how it was all going to play out. I was kept guessing until the end and I kept guessing wrong. There were so many possibilities, and everyone was a suspect in my book. I loved trying to figure it all out. The bad thing is that it caused a lack of sleep for me, but I’m not complaining.

I enjoy a good psychological thriller, and this author knows how to do it right. I’ll definitely be reading her backlist and looking for more books by her. It’s so much fun to add a “new-to-me” author to my list.

Love You to Death follows the story of young widow, Anna who is trying to rebuild her life after her husband Theo died in an unexpected accident. She meets handsome and charming Parker and immediately the two gets engaged. However, Anna's friends as well as Anna's in-laws believe that Anna is still rushing to getting married. Besides, how much well did she know Parker? When Theo's items suddenly come out of nowhere, Anna realizes that someone is trying to play a joke with her, or sick one.

This was a fast paced thriller, filled with twists and turns. The story is mainly told in Anna's POV and some therapist's POV with the timelines dividing between before Theo's death and the present day. Anna seems to be suspecting everyone in the story and unlike the normal characters in psychological thrillers, Anna is a likable character. The book is a page turner filled with suspense and the author had done a good job drawing the reader into the story. The ending although it was expected ending, turned out nicely--not too rushed but a gradual ending with an unexpected reveal (not too unexpected though).

I have read Anya Mora's books before and her books are usual fast-paced and unputdownable--this latest book is no exception. Overall this book is worth five stars.

Many thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC. Many thanks to Bookouture for making me the part of the blog tour. The review is based on my honest opinion only.

Reading in Between the Wines book review #67/125 for 2025:
Rating: 3🍷🍷🍷
Book: Love You To Death
Author: Anya Mora
Available now!

Sipping thoughts: No one imagines that they would be widowed. And how much of a miracle would it be if you found love after that death. Anna is trying to find love after death, but mysterious things keep happening. Is it the ghost of her husband or something more sinister. The twist was good, and I figured it out early on. I really appreciated the Author’s note and made me connect to the author and characters more.

Cheers and thank you to @Netgalley and @Bookouture for an advanced copy of @LoveYouToDeath.

Oh My Gosh!! I could not put it down!!! Every time I said one more chapter, it ended on a cliff-hanger and I just had to know what was going on!!! And these are short chapters that you can breeze through quickly.
Anna is trying to rebuild her life after her husband Theo dies. She meets Parker and they quickly get engaged. Then things start getting weird. Theo’s cologne appears out of nowhere, pictures are placed around the house. This story has multiple POV’s, and time slips, but I wasn’t sure who was the therapist, the boyfriend, the friend, the sister? This book kept me guessing until the end.
Many thanks to the author, Bookouture and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of the book. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

After previously loving Good Bad Mother in February, I knew I’d be keeping an eye out for more books from this author! And her latest book, Love You To Death was just as good if not better.

There was a great prologue which gripped me from the first page and didn’t let go! I adored the style of writing throughout. It was emotional yet heartfelt, and I loved the descriptions of the mother and daughter relationship between Anna and Sadie. It was so beautifully written.

I also really liked how fast paced the book was, it was impossible to put down! There were chapters of a discussion between a therapist and a client, and I loved the mystery of who the therapist was- I didn’t expect the reveal! Reading these chapters kept me glued to the pages, and I don’t think I’ve ever read a part of a book set out like it was here, so I loved the originality.

There were some heart-stopping scenes as the book drew to a close - I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough, it was just so good! The ending wrapped up nicely too.

Highly recommend this one, it was the perfect psychological thriller. Can’t wait for her next book The Next Wife To Die!

A huge thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for the advanced e-book copy. All opinions in this review are my own.

This book absolutely wrecked me—in the best, most twisty way!! It’s a haunting, gripping, and emotionally charged psychological thriller that pulled me in fast and never let go. I thought I knew what I was getting, and then the rug ripped out from under me. Again. And again. Just when you think you’ve got it figured out? Nope. Try again.

Anna is grieving the death of her husband Theo while trying to move forward with her new fiancé, Parker. But something isn’t right. Parker seems perfect on the surface—but behind closed doors, the gaslighting, manipulation, and cracks in their picture-perfect life begin to show. As strange events start piling up, Anna begins questioning not only Parker’s version of reality, but her own. Add in her daughter Sadie, Parker’s suspicious “sister”, and you’ve got a story full of tension & betrayal.

The story delivers a slow-burn suspense that builds beautifully. The short chapters kept me flying through pages, and the emotional depth made it impossible to look away. I felt every moment of doubt, fear, grief, and strength. Just when I thought I had it figured out, another twist knocked me sideways. Dark, sharp, and deeply satisfying—this one is absolutely going on my favorites shelf.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

Love You To Death is such a well written book. The slow burn actually worked for me in this case as I am usually not a fan of slow burns however it kept the tension building. This is told in multiple POVs and was as timeline. That helped fill in the gaps and better understand the story.

We follow Anna as she is dealing with the death of her husband. She is trying to move on with her daughter and meets a handsome man, Parker so become involved with him followed shortly by moving in together. Things start to happen that have everyone questioning who is behind everything that is happening. I was not expecting the ending but found it to be perfect.

Definitely recommend this book and basically everything that Bookouture publishes. 4 stars

This was a twisty and fast-paced read and it kept me second-guessing everyone—including the narrator throughout.

Wow that was a twisty book! I did guess some elements but not all, this is a short book at 313 pages and has short chapters that leave you saying “just one more” until the book is done.
We get multiple POV’s as well as some therapist notes and jumps backwards and forwards in time to fill in a complete picture of what happened.
I did spend the first half of the book questioning Anna’s decisions but the reasons behind them become clear as we get near to the end.
This book is perfect for people that like fast paced thrillers and authors like Freida McFadden.

I love reading Anya Mora’s books, and this one completely blew my mind. Once I started reading, I just couldn’t stop — it’s such a whirlwind of secrets and lies!

The story switches between the present and flashbacks to the past, and that slow burn really ramps up the tension until it’s almost unbearable. It’s a total page‑turner. I’m not usually a fan of end‑of‑chapter cliffhangers, but here they worked, pulling me in deeper every time.

Anya Mora just excels at creating stories you can’t walk away from. The writing is so immersive, and the pace never lets up. The final reveal? Absolutely jaw‑dropping. I changed my mind so many times about what was really going on and still ended up being completely wrong!

If you’re looking for a dark, gripping, keep‑you‑guessing‑till‑the‑end psychological thriller, Love You To Death is one you won’t forget. A fantastic read — and one that will stick with me for a long time.

Love You to Death by Anya Mora.
This was a really good read. I love the cover and blurb of this book. This is the 4th book by this author I've read. It was a little slow to start with but I soon got into it. I did sort of guess what was happening. I read this in two sittings. I wasn't sure how I felt about the characters. I didn't have any favourites. Twisty story. I certainly didn't see that coming.

Oh, my word, I have just finished one intense and brilliant read, I swear my heart kept stopping towards the end and boy what a talent the author is.
Anna has lost her husband and is deep in grief trying to raise her 11-year-old daughter, she stumbles across super handsome Parker, who captures her attention and heart. Much to the dismay of her deceased husbands’ parents.
Things move fast and he soon moves in, followed by his sister and things start to happen that shake the household.
Whose doing all of this, then add Grant to the mix and it’s a real whirlwind of secrets and lies.
I loved how the author described her daughter changing from child to almost teenager in the blink of an eye. It’s a harsh reality for all parents.
‘My body doesn’t know how to separate absence from abandonment’, another deep insight the author drops in there for those of us who can identify with separation anxiety.
I recommend this read a 5 star, non-stop read. Incredibly awesome.

The blurb caught my interest and I was looking forward to getting stuck in. The storyline plays out in the present day and flashbacks to the past. I found it a really slow burn that was both predictable and unfortunately I just found it really unbelievable and far fetched. There was just too much within the storyline that wouldn’t play out in real life. I love a storyline that builds suspense but the cliffhangers at the end of each chapter were just irritating. I didn’t feel any of the characters were likeable. I was hoping I’d be pleasantly surprised if I continued but unfortunately it wasn’t to be. Definitely not one of my favourite reads.

2.5/5 🌟🌟/🌟

What a page-turner this is! The story is narrated by Anna as she re-builds her life after the death of her husband, Theo, and finds new happiness with Parker. We learn about Anna's life leading up to Theo's death and now, as she and Parker plan their future together. Anna is the main narrator, but there are chapters interspersed from the notes of a therapist, which are chilling and unnerving.

When Theo's belongings start to appear back in Anna's home, the tension really ramps up and then the twists start to drop. There are so many hidden secrets but the final reveal - OMG! I changed my mind so many times about what I believed was the truth, but I was so far off and these jaw-dropping twists are where Anya Mora totally excels. Her writing style is immersive and the pace doesn't let up, which makes it very difficult to put the book down. A great read!

5 ⭐️ Thanks to Netgalley, Anya Mora and Bookouture, for an ARC of this book.

Anna is a grieving widow after losing her husband in what was ruled a tragic accident. Just trying to keep her daughter and herself together is taking a toll. But when 6 months after her husband's death she meets Parker, she is swept off of her feet. Parker is everything Anna wants, charming, kind and handsome and they begin a whirlwind romance. But it seems like things are moving too fast. Soon strange things start to infiltrate Anna's second chance. Her late husband's things start showing up around the house, her teenage daughter is spiraling into grief, and Anna feels like she is always being watched. Has Anna's past come back to haunt her?

This dark and twisty read kept me guessing! Just when I had thought that I had figured everything out, Mora switches it up and pulls you in another direction. The pacing is steady after an initial slow beginning, but it soon ramps up the tension and you get sucked in. Anna as our main character was an unreliable narrator so it was hard to figure out her motivations which made the twist hit harder. Overall a solid domestic thriller that I would recommend to fans of Lucy Foley and Nicole Trope!!

Thank you to NetGalley, Anya Mora, and Bookouture for this ARC! Publication date is June 23rd 2025.
