Who Did I Marry grabbed me right from the first chapter and didn’t let go. A dead body at a child’s birthday party? That’s the kind of dark, domestic drama I can’t resist—and this book delivered on all fronts.
The narrator is layered, sharp, and clearly hiding just as much as everyone else in the story. I loved the slow unraveling of secrets and the way the tension kept building inside the house—both emotionally and literally. The author does a great job showing how quickly a picture-perfect life can start to crack.
Tyler was frustrating in the best possible way. I didn’t know whether to believe him, and that made things feel all the more unsettling. The amnesia trope can sometimes feel tired, but here it worked because of how skillfully the author planted doubt at every turn. Add in Detective Rynn, who’s persistent without being over-the-top, and you've got a solid mix of characters you don’t quite trust—but can’t stop watching.
I’m giving it four stars instead of five because the final twist, while shocking, felt a bit rushed. I wanted just a little more time to sit in the fallout. But overall, this was a compelling, page-turning thriller that kept me guessing—and second-guessing—until the end.
If you love domestic thrillers with buried secrets, shifting loyalties, and a good dose of paranoia, Who Did I Marry is definitely worth the read.

Madeline and Tyler seem to have the perfect life with their daughter Charlie. But when a dead body literally appears on their doorstep all the secrets they have been keeping come to light.
I liked the first half of the book but the second half just seemed way too far fetched for me. I also did not like the ending at all.

Brilliant. Loved this amazing book. I read it in one sitting. A wonderful read - highly recommend it.

the twists here work so well. I really thought it was going one way and it completely blind sided me. it was s really entertaining read and kept me engaged.

Charlie’s birthday party is in full swing at their upscale townhouse - but where is her dad?
Madeline, her mom, notices a strange man peering through their windows. Moments later, a body is discovered on the porch. As the police arrive, Charlie’s dad, Tyler, suddenly reappears. He’s drunk and unable to explain where he’s been. He’s arrested, but is he really the killer? Who is the dead man? Who was the stranger at the window? And did anyone at the party see anything?
I really enjoyed the storyline of this book. It was exciting, dramatic, and my usual wheelhouse of a thriller I really love to dive into. I had fun making predictions as I read. I have to admit, I didn’t see the twist at the end coming!
While everything tied together by the end, I think there’s room for a follow-up story. That said, there were one or two side plots that didn’t feel essential to the main storyline, and some of the police interactions didn’t seem accurate to real life. Still, that didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment.

This book was a page turner from start to finish. Trying to keep up with each date and specific time while also paying attention to the POV got confusing at times, however the twists that were scattered throughout the book kept the book interesting.

Who did I marry? Probably should've read "who I married and 100 reasons why I should've stayed single". A disaster just waiting to happen and it does!!!!

This book confused me from start to finish. I know it’s a fictional book but so many things were far fetched and I also found it rather repetitive unfortunately

The premise had promise: a lavish birthday party, a picture-perfect townhouse, and a dead body on the lawn—what more could you want from a domestic thriller? Told through multiple POVs with short, punchy chapters, the pacing keeps things moving just enough that it’s not a slog to finish, even if it never quite reaches must-read territory.
Was it predictable? Absolutely. A twist or two tried to shock, but most turns felt telegraphed well in advance. Forgettable? Probably—I wouldn’t be surprised if I struggled to recall the plot a week from now. The characters didn’t help either. Most were grating or flat-out unlikable, and a few seemed to exist solely to pad the cast rather than contribute to the narrative in any meaningful way.
That said, the inclusion of journal entries was a nice touch—it added a layer of intrigue and gave the story a needed shift in tone. And while the dialogue occasionally veered into cringe territory, the author’s writing style overall was clean and engaging. I wouldn’t hesitate to give another one of their books a try.

Sara Pucci delivers an absolutely addictive page-turner in *Who Did I Marry?* that had me canceling plans just to keep reading. The story grabs you from its shocking opening - a dead man on the doorstep of Tyler and Madison's Upper East Side townhouse during their daughter's birthday party - and never lets go.
What makes this domestic thriller exceptional is Pucci's masterful control of suspense. The rotating perspectives between characters keep you constantly guessing - who's lying? Who's hiding something? Even the seemingly trustworthy narrators had me second-guessing every revelation. The New York setting adds wonderful texture, from the glossy wealth of the Upper East Side to the city's grittier underbelly.
I particularly loved how Pucci ramps up the tension while still developing her characters into fully-realized people. The marital dynamics feel authentic even as the situation spirals into unbelievable territory. And that ending! Perfectly executed with just the right balance of shock and satisfaction.
For fans of The Last Thing He Told Me or The Wife Between Us, this is your next obsession. Clear your schedule before starting - you won't want to put it down.
Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for providing an advance review copy.** This electrifying thriller earns every bit of its 5 stars!

🔪 Book Review 🔪
This book starts at a birthday party, at the swish house of Madeline and Tyler, a wealthy couple with a large amount of cash, a maid (who is in love with Tyler) and a teenage daughter.
During the birthday party, the lifeless body of Tyler’s half brother is found behind the house. A whodunnit ensues, the problem for me was I didn’t really care who’d dunnit.
The characters were all very unlikeable, the dialogue was stilted, the events unrealistic and there weren’t any twists really. I read it quickly, not because I was gripped, but because I wanted to get it finished. It just seemed a bit wishy washy for me if I’m honest. A real shame because I thought it might be a bit McFadden-esque but not to be.
I’d like to thank Storm Publishing, NetGalley and the author for the arc and the fantastic opportunity, in exchange for my honest feedback 😊

I don’t usually not finish a book but even though this book is a quick read, I decided that there were too many other books I would like to read and life is short. Therefore I stopped at 43%. What I had read was poorly written with unbelievable and unlikeable characters, and yes I understand that us readers don’t have to like all the characters in a book, but to not have just one that could be empathised with or engaged with will put off any readers. The chapters were short (tick) but the telling of the story was shallow and at some points just incredible, but not in a good way. The funeral - the dead man’s own mother turns up, seemingly uninvited, where the family who had shunned him were the principal mourners, including Tyler’s wife and daughter who supposedly knew nothing about the illegitimate half brother. The actions of the police were just not realistic and totally unprofessional.

Who Did I Marry? by Sara Pucci explores the unsettling truth that those closest to us can cause the deepest wounds. The story begins with a perfect birthday party for Charlie, held in an immaculate townhouse. Yet the celebrations are shattered when a dead body is found on their lawn, and Tyler, Charlie’s father, is missing and then returns intoxicated with no memory of the crucial morning. Detective Rynn suspects something sinister beneath the surface, and the tension steadily builds as secrets unravel.
I enjoyed the gripping and dramatic storyline, which kept me guessing until the very end. The twist was genuinely surprising, and although the book ties things up neatly, it leaves enough open for a potential sequel. This is a compelling read for fans of domestic suspense with an emotional core.

Who did I Marry is a story full of deceit, family secrets, and family drama. On Charlie's 14th birthday, a dead body turns up on the porch. Madeline, her mother, claims to know nothing of who it is and what happened and Tyler, her father, can't remember what happened. All the evidence is pointing to Tyler, but the story takes a turn. And when we find out who the body is.... well... let's just say my jaw was on the floor. It was a twist I didn't see coming. Everyone in this story is a liar and it was a little confusing trying to keep up with everyone. None of the characters had any likable qualities about them, except, Madeline's determination to keep Charlie safe and protect her was admirable. I really love how everything came together at the end of the story. All in all, a little confusing, but still a great thriller.

Madeline and Tyler have been married for 14 years, and from the outside it seems like they have it all together. Then a dead body shows up during their daughter's birthday party, and their lives quickly fall apart. They fight to hold themselves together while struggling to hold on to their secrets as well. The question is how long will their secrets stay hidden in the midst of a police investigation?
I devoured this. I finished it in two days, and probably could have done it in one if I had started it earlier in the day. There were so many secrets that got uncovered and lies that got unraveled, that I just couldn't put it down. It did start a little slow, but once it got going I was in.
I really enjoyed al the POVs that we got in this book. There were at least 5 that we saw all together although Madeline and Tyler were the main two POVs.
At times, I felt like the characters and their motivations were conflicting, but then I realized that the narrators are unreliable because they're lying to everyone, and trying to lie to themselves.
Overall I enjoyed this book.
*Slight spoilers ahead*
One of the biggest downfalls I had for this book was that I felt like the synopsis kind of gave away the big mystery. I got part way through and then remembered what I had read in the synopsis and figured out the big mystery. There were enough secrets to go around though that I did question my conclusion at times.

I was hoping for a story with sharp characters and unusual twists. What I got was rapidly changing POV's, horrible characters and no interesting or unusual twists. There was a lot of tell and not enough show so although I tried reading more of it after the ridiculous scene at the funeral, it still didn't work for me. It was all monologues and a lot of overthinking - not to mention the even more ridiculous scene where Madeline and Tyler suddenly, amidst all that's (not) happening, having a wild night together. So unreal.

This book had everything I love in a psychological thriller, dark secrets, constant twists, and that unsettling feeling that nothing is as it seems. From the very first chapter, I was hooked. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, another reveal would completely change my mind. Every character felt suspicious at some point, and the tension never let up. If you enjoy thrillers that mess with your head and keep you second-guessing until the very end, this one’s a must-read!

"You are the architect of your own ruin."
The title really intrigued me. At first, I was wondering was it the wife or the husband who said it? And it turned out I guessed right.
From the beginning, I had a gut feeling about who actually said "Who did I marry?" or "Who the f*ck did I marry?" I also felt the obvious killer was not the real one and I was right.
But honestly, I was not satisfied with the ending. Will there be a Book 2? I hope so, because it feels like the story is not over yet. Everything was so twisted.
I did not really like any of the characters. And the plot reminded me of two other popular thrillers I have read before, which gave me mixed feelings.
Still, it was an interesting read and I think it definitely needs a Book 2.
Thank you author Sara Pucci, Storm Publishing and NetGalley for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Well, this was everything a psychological thriller should be. Engaging plot twists, psychotic lying characters, well hidden secrets, and unexpected endings. I enjoyed reading this book. It was an amazing thriller. As I was reading the book, I once sympathized with one of the characters before I discovered how crazy said person was. However, there was no sane person here (except the detective), the others were just Lee's crazy.

You'll spend the time used in reading books to find out who the perpetrators were and the true victims. I was pleasantly surprised by the turnout of events. I liked the pace and the personal lives of Madeleine, Tyler, and their daughter, Charlie. They were going through a rough patch, and you don't know who the troublemaker is.

The book was an amazing read. I liked that the real perp was 'punished', instead of going scot free like other psychological thrillers. However, I wanted an epilogue from Tyler and Charlie's POV.
