I can’t wait to finish this book!! The characters are fascinating, and the narration is excellent. This is a definite preorder!

This was a sneak peek and I definitely need more! I'm dying to know where the story goes. Schwab's writing is so unlikely anything else. I can't fully rate it without having the full book but I know it won't be disappointing!

This was a great preview into the book. The narrators were fantastic and I'm so excited to continue and see what happens! I have so many questions already. I can tell this will be quite a slow-paced, character-focused book so I'm looking forward to getting to know the characters more.

can already tell this is going to be a 5 star read! Story starts very slow paced by the characters only get more intriguing and interesting that you cant help but want to keep read. Will immediately be picking up this story when its released to continue!!

I’ve been eagerly awaiting this book, and the moment the audiobook sneak peek dropped , I had to check it out. The narration by Julia Whelan, Katie Leung, and Marisa Calin was outstanding they truly brought the characters to life. 4.5 Rounding up to 5. I was so excited to receive a sneak peek of the audio book for Bury our Bones in the Midnight Soil from NetGalley, and loved it. I have the book pre-ordered, and can’t wait to get my hands on it. It’s only a sneak peek, but I’m already invested in the characters and can’t wait to see where the story goes. One of the audiobook narrators didn’t quite work for me, so it wasn’t a true 5/5, but I hope that will smooth over for me as the book goes on. Only 9 more days till the book is released, and it’s one of my most anticipated summer reads.

I had so much fun with this sneak peek. I can't wait for June 10th to come so that I can continue. The cover pulled me in. It perfectly sets the tone for this story. It's moody, lush, and just a little eerie.

The narration is incredible. Julia Whelan, Katie Leung, and Marisa Cali breathe life (well... unlife) into each character. The accents, the emotional shifts, the way each voice transports you across centuries—it’s immersive in the best way.

The prose is exactly what you'd expect from V.E. Schwab: elegant, layered, and quietly powerful. Even in this short preview, the writing pulled me in. (Maria is already my favorite. I have a feeling she’s about to take center stage.)

In what I've come to find true of this author's writing style, it just takes forever to get going. I had to really push through. So the pacing is off. There are really slow sections and a few parts of the book where I feel the pacing is right but then it slows down again. Though bonus points for representation. Lesbian vampires. Alrighty.

I really enjoyed listening to the preview of this book, so much so that I plan on getting the full book version so that I can continue to enjoy the storyline. I'm not surprised that I was sucked into the book and found myself really invested in it, as I do like the writing style of this particular author.

The sneak peek gave an amazing preview of what you can expect from this book! I can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of the book, I have a feeling this is going to be one of my favorites of the year!

The audiobook sneak peak was very good! I thought the narrators made it very interesting. My only con was that it was sneak peak, I wanted more and I wanted to hear where the characters were going in their stories. I can't wait to read this one from this particular author.

This sneak peek was incredible. It gave enough of an introduction to each of the three different characters who all had their own narrator. That made it so easy to keep the different POVs straight in my head. The writing itself was truly well done and already started out as such a fast paced read. I can’t wait to read the rest of the story.

This is my most anticipated book of June, and I knew I had to listen to the sneak peek when it was available on Netgalley.

12 chapters gave me so much, but ended right when I needed to know what comes next. It’s safe to say, I will be picking this up promptly when it releases.

3 different women’s storylines. All died at different times. The set up for each woman’s time period and current circumstance is riveting, and I’m dying to know more. The characters already feel so strong and resonant. Come June 10th, this will surely be a new favorite from VE Schwab!

Since this is only a sneak peek of the book I’m giving it this rating. What I listened to so far from it I have enjoyed and can’t wait to listen to the whole story when it is released. This is my first book by this author and I’m immediately interested in how this story will play out. Narrators were also great.
