As soon as I saw this sneak peak was available I got it and started listening to it.
Thank you Macmillan Audio for the first 12 chapter of the story.
"Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil" is one of my most anticipated reads from this year and I will definitely get the audiobook.
Most of this is about Maria's story and I can't wait to discover the rest.
The book is narrated by Julia Whelan, Katie Leung and Marisa Calin. I enjoyed that each main character is narrated by a different person, especially because they have a different accent.
The only thing that I did not like is that it ended too soon and it is over a month until the release date.

Two hours isn’t enough. I need more! I’m so excited for this next month!! Narrators are good for each part.

I was immediately pulled into this one! I really enjoyed the sneak peek and I feel like I need to hear the rest! The narrator’s voice is easy to follow and a good pace.

Thanks to Macmillan Audio and Netgalley for a sneak peek of this audiobook.
This was so mean to stop at that point of the book because I can’t wait now to listen to the whole book. The narrator was perfect 10/10. It seens this will be definitely another hit for V. E. Schwab and can’t wait to complete it

V.E Schwab just hits every. single. time. I'm crying that this was only a sneak peek! I'm 100% buying this audio to finish the story. I was sucked in immediately and it held my attention the entire time. I've been excited about this book, but this made me 1111000% more excited! Yes, V.E. Schwab!

I love V.E. Schwabs writing and I love Julia Whelan's narration, I'm so excited for this new release!!!
I still think about The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue to this day and I read that a long time ago now. I also listened to the audiobook while reading Addie LaRue and it was just so beautiful and sad. Based on that alone, I have super high hopes of enjoying Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil as well.
Julia Whelan has a wonderful way of bringing life to the character's and bringing forward every emotion that is being felt. Katie Leung and Marisa Calin are new narrators to me and I love that we're getting to experience all three! The accents are so perfect. I love that we're getting to experience each character in her own right as well.
V.E. Schwab draws you in and captivates you with her beautifully haunting stories and the journey of every character. I am left hanging on every word and I cannot wait for this release!
Thank you so much Macmillan Audio for this ALC sneak peek!! I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for the arc as well but can't wait to pick this up in the Summer regardless. Now I just have to choose whether I want to read or listen, or both. :' )

Huge thanks to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the early listen—what a thrill! This audiobook is phenomenal. I’m hyped for the full release. The narrators? 10/10. They bring the story to life in the best way possible. I can’t wait to dive back in!

The sneak peek was so good and I can't wait for this release to see where the rest of this story goes.
I enjoyed the narrators, and I feel like they fit the story well!

Thanks to Macmillan Audio and Netgalley for a sneak peek of this audiobook. Oh my god this is great. I am more excited than ever for this book to come out. Narrators are 10/10 and I can’t wait to finish this ! It’s been preordered on multiple platforms!!

Oh my GOSH this might be one of the best narrations I have ever listened to. All three narrators did such a fabulous job. They really kept me feeling attentive and engaged. Sometimes when listening to things I start to zone out but I never once did with this one. Just so well done.
The story itself was fascinating and the different POVs were interesting. I can’t wait to see how it all comes together.

This was a great introduction to the characters and the narrators. I can’t wait to get the full book so I can continue the story! It’s already really engaging.

I’ve been on the fence as to what format I wanted to choose to read this book upon its release next month, and after these first 12 chapters I am convinced that audio is the way to go! I loved getting introduced to our three main characters (Maria, Alice, and Lottie) and LOVE that each has their own narrator. I can tell already that Julia Whelan (who I know and love!), and Katie Leung and Marisa Calin (who are both new to me), have done an outstanding job bringing this story to life.
12 chapters felt like just a taste that ended far too soon! I can’t wait to get my hands on the full length audio and to listen to the book in its entirety! Thank you Macmillan Audio for the sneak peek!

I unfortunately, did not realize this was just a "SNEAK PEEK" and wrongfully thought it was for the full book. The first several chapters were good and intriguing, the narrator has a unique voice and does a really good job of actual narrating. I cannot wait to get my hands on more of it!

I NEED THE FULL AUDIO ASAP!!!! THIS BOOK IS EVERYTHING!!!!! Schwab knows how to entice the reader with a hint of darkness while building complex stories for characters you love immediately

10/10
Schwab never fails to blow me away with her writing.
The feminine rage in this book is poignant beyond words.
What a tease this is. I am devastated I need to wait for the release to read the rest of it.
I will refrain from positing a review on good reads until I am able to read it all but I can’t imagine I’ll be disappointed.

As far as sneak peeks go, this was a good one! So far I am intrigued and interested in the three women’s stories. The narrators are fantastic, it will be a very entertaining audiobook. The beginning does seem a bit on the slower side which is not much of a surprise knowing V.E. Schwabs style.
I am very excited to read the rest of Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil comes out.

I'm sad this is only a sneak peek. I am instantly IN LOVE with all the narrators, and it's my first time listening to any of them. Their voices fit perfectly with this type of story and help me stay engaged with the book pretty well. I look forward to reading/listening to the whole thing.
Thank you for the sample of the audiobook Macmillan Audio!

I knew only getting a sneak peek was going to be simultaneously amazing and also devastating!
VE Schwab writes in such a lyrical way that I’m always immediately enraptured. Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil absolutely delivered with the gorgeous storytelling. I will be impatiently waiting for the rest!
I adore audiobooks that have a whole cast to voice the different characters. These narrators brought the characters to life in such a unique way that I will be hearing their voices as these characters forever.
Thank you to Macmillan Audio for the early access sneak peek! I can’t wait for the rest!

Only 2 hours was CRIMINAL because now I’m hooked and still have to wait a month before I can read this book.
I’m classic VE Schwab fashion, I absolutely devoured the 2 hours I got to listen to this audio. The narration was so well done, I didn’t feel bored or get annoyed with the narrators voice, and they expressed the emotions well through their voice.
The actual plot of the book was so good. By the end of chapter one I was SAT until my time was up. If there was a longer version I would gladly listen to it all.
I will be recommending this one to everyone just like I have with all of her other books.

Although this is only a sneak peek, I already know it will be one of my favorite reads this year. This small sample introduces us to three characters: Maria, Alice, and Lottie. For the most part, we see Maria's life in the 1500s. We get a small slice of Alice's life in 2019. And just a slice of Lottie's story. This sneak peek does a great job setting up the characters and their wants and personalities. I cannot wait to see how their stories and character arcs progress. There are already themes of personal choice and female rage, and I look forward to how those themes and other themes emerge and develop. The writing of this book is beautiful, haunting, and emotional. The amazing narration of the cast of voice actors highlights the writing and rhythm of the sentences. Julia Whelan is a stalwart of audiobooks, and she does not disappoint in her narration. I enjoyed her character voices and accents. The characters were easily distinguishable. I have never listened to the other two narrators but they also did a great job embuing personality into their narrations. Overall, I am so very happy to have had access to this sneak peek, and I look forward to the book's release. Thanks to NetGalley and MacMillian for providing this arc for preview and review.
