What a great tease!! I’m so looking forward to this next one from VE Schwab! Vampires… yasss!
Great narration.

I am already obsessed with this book despite only getting a sneak peek of the audiobook. The different narrators’ voices for each character are impeccable, the imagery immersive, and I can’t wait to hear how Maria’s, Lottie’s, and Alice’s stories intertwine and conclude!

Omg! This sneak peak was so good! I immediately fell in love with these characters and can't wait to continue their journeys when the whole books comes out!

I have been looking forward to this one! I loved Addie LaRue, it is one of my all time favorite books. This one is shaping up to join that list. What a beautifully told story with such deep meaning. I can’t wait to get access to the rest of it! I already shared with my followers on Goodreads.

This promises to be an incredible story, I was hooked from the get-go, both with the plot and the narrator, I would have loved to be able to hear the entire book, the fact I couldn’t was the only fault I found with this book

This audio sneak peak only increased my excitement for the full novel release this summer. While I was primarily planing to do a read on the physical hardback, the audiobook production from this little snippet was very well done and makes me want to do a tandem read! Schwab’s gorgeous prose in characterizing our three main characters combined with the audiobook actors’ skills makes this a do-not-miss book performance. Thank you for the sneak peak I can’t wait to continue the rest of the story on pub day, June 10!

A big thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan audio for providing a sneak peek of Bury our bones in the midnight soil.
I really enjoyed the preview of this book. The characters are interesting so far and the story is just starting to get interesting. I think a lot of people will enjoy this book as it is very well written.
I haven’t read any of V.E. Schwabs books, but i definitely plan to look into more of their work.
Great start so far and the narration was well done and easy to listen to.

Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil is my most highly anticipated release of 2025. To say I was excited to receive the sampler is a massive understatement. I’m a huge fan of audiobooks, and I’ll be listening to the full release alongside one of the physical copies I’ve already preordered (yes, plural).
From the very first moment, the audio production shines. The narration is top-tier, a perfect match for the quality of Schwab’s haunting and lyrical prose. Julia Whelan, Katie Leung, and Marisa Calin form a stellar cast, each bringing their characters to life with depth and emotion. Of the three, Maria is my clear favourite so far. Something about her voice and perspective pulled me in right away. Will that change as I get deeper into the story? I’m excited to find out. I also have a sneaking suspicion this book will be a heartbreaker in the best way.
Even this brief preview makes the story feel gripping, atmospheric, and emotionally charged. Schwab effortlessly weaves mystery and melancholy, and I was completely immersed. I was devastated when the sampler ended. I would’ve kept listening for hours.
I’m counting down the days until I can experience the full story. Thank you so much for the opportunity to get this early glimpse. It only made me more excited to dive into what promises to be another unforgettable V.E. Schwab novel.

Super high-quality production and an amazing cast of narrators. Julia Whelan, Katie Leung, and Marisa Calin did such a great job bringing the characters to life, making me feel completely immersed in the story. This sneak peek just got me even more excited to read the full book!
Thank you, NetGalley and Macmillan Audio, for the sneak peak ALC in exchange for an honest review!

This audiobook sneak peek is the perfect introduction to Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V. E. Schwab. While listening, I preordered the audiobook and will have to wait until the release day to continue the story. ALC sneak peak was provided by Macmillan Audio via NetGalley. I received a teaser audiobook listening copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The writing and narration of this sneak peak are very well done and incredibly engaging. 4 stars instead of 5 only because I want to reserve a higher rating (if applicable) for the finished novel. V. E. Schwab knows how to pull readers head-first into a story and has shown that again here. I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the release so I can pick this back up and find out what happens.

Thrilled to have gotten a sneak peak of this audio book! V.E. Schwab is one of those authors who never seems to write a bad book. I have to admit the prose of toxic lesbian vampires written by one of my all time favourite authors had me absolutely enamoured before I even started the audiobook.
I’m not usually a big audiobook listener, but this book is an exception to that for sure. The three narrators bring the story of our three protagonists to life. The different accents and characterizations to match time periods and nationalities of the girls brings the story right of the pages and helps distinguish between points of view. The storyline of the first 12 chapters included in this sneak peak, allows the reader to get a good sense of the two time periods, settings and our three main characters: Alice, Maria, and Charlotte (aka Lottie). Schwabs writing emerges you in the story, and makes you relate to the characters on a personal level. The storyline jumps between the two time periods and switches between the three different points of view.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this sneak peak of Bury Our Bones In The Midnight Soils audiobook. I can’t wait to get my hands on a physically copy of this book on release day, and will absolutely be purchasing a full version of the audio book as well to listen along while I read.

The audio is really high quality and with the different main characters being of different nationalities, they do have different narrators with the different accents which is nice. The storyline itself is a little slow, as it does jump around to the different main characters roughly every 2 chapters to set up their backstories. However, it is compelling and I do want to finish the book when released since this is just a sneak peek and not the full book..

I’m so sad I didn’t realize this was only a sneak peek because the narration and story so far are fantastic! Can’t wait to get my hands on the full audiobook.

So sad this was just a sneak peek because I’m HOOKED!!! I really enjoyed the two timeline story of Alice and Maria so far!! The narrator is great and inviting! I’m 10000% more excited in reading the book once it comes out. After hearing this snippet I will definitely be tandem reading with book and headphones on!

Such beautiful prose brought to life by three narrators that did a fabulous job portraying the characters and their identities. This short snippet makes me wanting to pick up both the physical and audio copies to tandem read and experience the amazing work of V.E.Schwab to its

When I started the physical ARC of Bury I decided to read along with the sneak peek audiobook. I’m so glad I did because the narrators each painted a picture around the authors words and now even with the snippet over, I can still hear each of them so clearly. If you love audiobooks I HIGHLY recommend this one. The accents and range will leave you in amazement. The narrators are so very talented. This story is going to crush my heart and I can't wait.

Beautiful prose. I love V.E. Schwab on all her forms, but this is most reminiscent of Addie LaRue, which is her most popular work. If you liked Addie, this needs to be on your TBR.

HEARTBROKEN because I didn't realize that this was a sneak peek! hahaha... AND I'M IN LOVE! It tells the story of two women in two different times, which is not as intimidating as it sounds. In the beginning at least, they are two separate stories so you aren't juggling timelines.
I love Maria! She's the hottest young thing in her 1520s Spain village. The narration immediately reminded me of "The Familiar" by Leigh Bardugo but it's more mature, more sensual. Maria knows exactly what people expect of a girl in her time. If she's going to be relegated to someone's wife then she's going to make sure her marriage opens her world far beyond this little town.
In today's world, Alice is an Irish freshman making the rounds of a American college party. She is not as socially adept as Maria, but when she meets the illusive Lottie, none of that matters. They hook up and it's exciting, and flighty, and everything a girl could want. But Lottie is not like the other students.
The sapphic, mirror stories are so enticing. You can tell there are some sinister secrets coming but the main characters are not aware. I will definitely be preordering the audiobook.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing a sneak peek of this book! I am even more excited for its release after listening to the first few chapters of the audiobook. The narrator is excellent, and the story itself is already so beautiful. I can't wait for June, as I plan to buy the book immediately and listen to the audiobook while I read it. Everything about it feels just perfect. I love V.E. Schwab, and she is one of the authors from whom I would read anything at this point. Thank you again to the publisher and NetGalley for this sneak peek audiobook in exchange for my honest review!
