The sneak peek was so good and I can't wait for this release to see where the rest of this story goes.

I enjoyed the narrators, and I feel like they fit the story well!

Thanks to Macmillan Audio and Netgalley for a sneak peek of this audiobook. Oh my god this is great. I am more excited than ever for this book to come out. Narrators are 10/10 and I can’t wait to finish this ! It’s been preordered on multiple platforms!!

Oh my GOSH this might be one of the best narrations I have ever listened to. All three narrators did such a fabulous job. They really kept me feeling attentive and engaged. Sometimes when listening to things I start to zone out but I never once did with this one. Just so well done.

The story itself was fascinating and the different POVs were interesting. I can’t wait to see how it all comes together.

This was a great introduction to the characters and the narrators. I can’t wait to get the full book so I can continue the story! It’s already really engaging.

I’ve been on the fence as to what format I wanted to choose to read this book upon its release next month, and after these first 12 chapters I am convinced that audio is the way to go! I loved getting introduced to our three main characters (Maria, Alice, and Lottie) and LOVE that each has their own narrator. I can tell already that Julia Whelan (who I know and love!), and Katie Leung and Marisa Calin (who are both new to me), have done an outstanding job bringing this story to life.

12 chapters felt like just a taste that ended far too soon! I can’t wait to get my hands on the full length audio and to listen to the book in its entirety! Thank you Macmillan Audio for the sneak peek!

I unfortunately, did not realize this was just a "SNEAK PEEK" and wrongfully thought it was for the full book. The first several chapters were good and intriguing, the narrator has a unique voice and does a really good job of actual narrating. I cannot wait to get my hands on more of it!

I NEED THE FULL AUDIO ASAP!!!! THIS BOOK IS EVERYTHING!!!!! Schwab knows how to entice the reader with a hint of darkness while building complex stories for characters you love immediately

10/10

Schwab never fails to blow me away with her writing.
The feminine rage in this book is poignant beyond words.

What a tease this is. I am devastated I need to wait for the release to read the rest of it.

I will refrain from positing a review on good reads until I am able to read it all but I can’t imagine I’ll be disappointed.

As far as sneak peeks go, this was a good one! So far I am intrigued and interested in the three women’s stories. The narrators are fantastic, it will be a very entertaining audiobook. The beginning does seem a bit on the slower side which is not much of a surprise knowing V.E. Schwabs style.

I am very excited to read the rest of Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil comes out.

I'm sad this is only a sneak peek. I am instantly IN LOVE with all the narrators, and it's my first time listening to any of them. Their voices fit perfectly with this type of story and help me stay engaged with the book pretty well. I look forward to reading/listening to the whole thing.
Thank you for the sample of the audiobook Macmillan Audio!

I knew only getting a sneak peek was going to be simultaneously amazing and also devastating!

VE Schwab writes in such a lyrical way that I’m always immediately enraptured. Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil absolutely delivered with the gorgeous storytelling. I will be impatiently waiting for the rest!

I adore audiobooks that have a whole cast to voice the different characters. These narrators brought the characters to life in such a unique way that I will be hearing their voices as these characters forever.

Thank you to Macmillan Audio for the early access sneak peek! I can’t wait for the rest!

Only 2 hours was CRIMINAL because now I’m hooked and still have to wait a month before I can read this book.

I’m classic VE Schwab fashion, I absolutely devoured the 2 hours I got to listen to this audio. The narration was so well done, I didn’t feel bored or get annoyed with the narrators voice, and they expressed the emotions well through their voice.

The actual plot of the book was so good. By the end of chapter one I was SAT until my time was up. If there was a longer version I would gladly listen to it all.

I will be recommending this one to everyone just like I have with all of her other books.

Although this is only a sneak peek, I already know it will be one of my favorite reads this year. This small sample introduces us to three characters: Maria, Alice, and Lottie. For the most part, we see Maria's life in the 1500s. We get a small slice of Alice's life in 2019. And just a slice of Lottie's story. This sneak peek does a great job setting up the characters and their wants and personalities. I cannot wait to see how their stories and character arcs progress. There are already themes of personal choice and female rage, and I look forward to how those themes and other themes emerge and develop. The writing of this book is beautiful, haunting, and emotional. The amazing narration of the cast of voice actors highlights the writing and rhythm of the sentences. Julia Whelan is a stalwart of audiobooks, and she does not disappoint in her narration. I enjoyed her character voices and accents. The characters were easily distinguishable. I have never listened to the other two narrators but they also did a great job embuing personality into their narrations. Overall, I am so very happy to have had access to this sneak peek, and I look forward to the book's release. Thanks to NetGalley and MacMillian for providing this arc for preview and review.

Based on this sneak peek, I already know I’m going to have the worst book hangover from Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil, just like I did with Addie LaRue. I love it already.

Vampires are back and omg I need so much more! The dual timelines in this story are a bit jarring from the beginning, but I'm sure I will adjust as the story continues. Julia Whelan's audiobook narration is forever a favorite, impressively showcasing intense emotion and vocal acting that really brings the story to life. I am 100% a vampire girlie, and as a fan of VE Schwab, I am soo excited to read the entirety of this book! This sneak peak wasn't nearly enough! The setting and world building is visceral and I'm excited to see things tie together! I love that we get some cultural diversity in this book, and I think it adds to the story! I am getting similar vibes to The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo. The sapphic longing is VIBRANT. I love feminine rage books and so far, this is giving just enough to keep me on my toes. Excited for the release!!

Wow! I really wasn’t hyped up too much about this book but this audiobook sneak peek just changed my outlook completely!

Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil follows three women and their life stories, and oh yes…they’re vampires. In this short preview of the first 12 chapters we learn Maria is newly married, loathes her husband and in laws, never wants to be a mother, and seeks a life of rich freedom. Alice is attending university in Boston after leaving her home in Scotland. She’s under the impression she takes up too much space in the world, her self doubt is massive but she finds indulgence in a violet haired girl one night at a party. Lottie is that girl and while we don’t get much about her in this preview the little we do is intriguing.

Look, sapphic vampires is already an intriguing premise but this audio narration just really pulled me in and didn’t let me go. I’m such a fan of all three of these narrators. Julia Whelan, Katie Leung, and Marisa Calin were all just simply perfect, the accents the inflections and tones ugh I want to listen to them forever!

I will definitely be purchasing a copy of this audiobook on release day, I must experience the rest of this story! Thank you so much to Macmillan Audio for this ALC Sneek Peek in exchange for an honest review!

This Sneak Peek is only making me want to read this book more!!! The audio narration is wonderful, the story is rich and sultry and I want more! I cannot wait for this one to be released in full so I can devour it.

Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for access to the Sneak Peek ALC in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed listening to this sampler. Although I found the various voice actors interesting as a way to lend perspective on the various characters I found it frustrating that I had to keep adjusting the speed due to the Scottish accent in some parts. This is audiobook is best enjoyed at 1x or 1.25 speed but I prefer to listen faster. I felt the sample chapters stopped at a random spot but I would continue on with the story if I received a full arc.

This sneak peek! I'm floored and need more. All the audiobook narrators are fantastic. Addictive multiple plot lines over different time periods, wonderful prose; I'm so curious to see if/how these ladies will cross paths. Already rooting for the fall of a few folks, fingers crossed we get some female rage revenge for them. My bi panic is panicking in the best way.
