EXCELLENT NARRATION. I was approved to read an advance copy of Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil through NetGalley and loved the book. I was excited to listen to a sneak peek of the audiobook as a fan and since a lot of patrons at my library prefer audiobooks. I really enjoyed the use of three different narrators for the three main characters of this book. I've already recommended a number of people to listen and/or read to this book when it's out!

I cannot wait to read the whole book. I was stocked to have listened a sneak peak of the audiobook. Definitely going to finish reading this book once it comes out. I did enjoy the voice of the narrator.

Received a sneak peak from Net Galley!
Really looking forward to reading/listening to the rest of this book! It draws you in immediately! The audio narrator is perfect with great variations in voices for each character. Another wonderful book from V.E. Schwab!

Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for this advanced copy! You can pick up Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil on June 10, 2025.
V.E. Schwab can do no wrong. Her writing is lush and inviting in this book, immediately drawing you in with little context. I'm already invested in Maria, Alice, and Lottie's stories, and I can't wait to see how they intertwine. Bring on the vampires!

This audiobook sneak peak had me wishing I was listening to the full audiobook. The way the narrator has different voices for each character really helped me feel immersed into the story. As for the story, I was very interested in not only the multiple points of view but also the different timelines. I enjoy being able to see more than one characters pov. Without reading the blurb it would be difficult to understand what exactly this book is about just based on the sneak peak but regardless it was captivating.

I loved the 12-chapter sneak peek of the audiobook! The three narrators make it easy to follow the three main characters through their different time periods. I enjoyed the preview and will buy the full audiobook when available.

Great to hear the sample audiobook along side my sample ebook! I thought the narrators did a good job and I look forward to reading the full story when it publishes in June!

This sneak peek was so good. I can not wait for this to come out next month! Where the sample ended really leaves you wanting more. Lol. I'm very curious to learn how everyone is connected. I can already tell this will be a 5 star book.

What do you do when a sneak peek is just not enough? Bury our bones in the midnight soil is about a toxic sapphic relationship between vampires across multiple timelines. Can I wait for the book to come out on June 10th.

I love most books by V.E. Schwab, but I am already hooked! The multiple timelines, the character Maria - who is a total badass - and the different narrators. It all sucked me in and I cannot wait for the release date so that I can finish the rest of the story!!

This was an intriguing sample of the book and I can't wait to see how the characters' stories start to come together and how vampirism plays a role. And the narrators are incredible!

I am obsessed with this sneak peek and I cannot wait to read the entire book!!!! VE Schwab is incredible and I want to live inside of her words and I will be buying and reading this book on release day (I’ve already preordered so I can get a signed copy!)

A sneak peek is not enough! But these few chapters made me eager to read the rest of the book. V.E. Schwab is an amazing author. I can't wait to read/listen to the rest.

Oh my goodness!!! I saw this sneak peek for a Listen Now and immediately downloaded it because V.E Schwab is one of my favorite fantasy authors. Vicious, Venegeful, and Addie LaRue are books I think about constantly so this book has been highly anticipated for me! This sneak peek ALC is the first 12 chapters of Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil. It is narrated by Julia Whelan (one of my favorite female narrators!!!) , Katie Leung, and Marisa Calin. All the narrators did a fantastic job and solidified my idea of immersive reading this book with the audiobook when I get a physical copy!! .
The book immediately hooked me into the world wanting to learn everything about our characters and the dynamics! Each narrator tells the story in a intriguing, mysterious, and entrapping way. V.E. Schwab's writing was beautiful, well paced, and gritty. I already have my physical copy preordered but I can't wait to listen to the audiobook as well!!
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for allowing me to listen to the Sneak Peek!

I’m not sure what you want me to say. I was given only 10% of the book so I can’t review it. The beginning seemed like it’s going to be a great read, but the story isn’t even set up yet. I don’t think anyone can accurately review a book with only 10% of the story. I’m happy to review the entire book, but I don’t have enough information at this point. I didn’t realize it wasn’t the whole book when I agreed to review it.

What do you mean I need to wait another month to listen to the rest of this????
Julia Whelan, Katie Leung & Marisa Calin already have me hooked on this story. Phenomenal narrators & story telling. I am so so excited for the rest of this!
Thank you MacMillan & NetGalley for the sneak peak!

Agree with others that I forgot this was a sneak peak and kept trying to get to the next chapter when it ended. I cannot wait to finish and hate that I have to wait on this one. I loved the dual perspective and witchy sapphic vibe! V. E. Schwab never disappoints.

The only three words I needed to draw me in: Toxic. Lesbian. Vampires. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into the rest of this when it comes out!!!

I almost forgot this wasn't the entire book. Even after I finished, I kept thinking about going back to it. I loved all the narrators, they really made this an immersive experience for the short time. I already have ideas and predictions brewing. This is simply a confirmation that I, indeed, need this book when it debuts.

Thank you NetGalley & Macmillan for the audio ARC sneak peek! I haven’t read anything from Schwab since “The Invisible Life Addie LaRue”, but this book sounded intriguing. I cannot wait until the full release because from this excerpt, I am sure this will be one of my favorite books of the month upon release — possibly even the year.
