Really enjoyed this preview of the upcoming Empire of The Dawn. Kristoff is back to being his foul mouthed irreverent self as he returns to Gabriel's story for the final installment. I liked the character list as a way to catch up and remind me of what happened in the previous books. I also like that it starts out giving us some villain POV. I don't want to give away too much, but I will say this has me appropriately hyped for the full release later this year and of you liked the first two installments I think you'll be quite happy with this one. Couldn't give a full five stars because this was only part of the book.

The Empire of the Vampire is my favorite series of all time! I will read ANYTHING Jay Kristoff writes. This author is an auto-buy for me.

Since this is just a sampler, I didn't get the full book, but Empire of the Dawn is going to be the epic ending I just can't wait for.

I am absolutely stoked to see where this series finishes off. I was on my toes this whole Sample! Let’s fucking go!!!! Sorry for the language but Jay knocked it out of the park again!

Oh my goodness, what a brutal tease!! Disappointed that this was just a sampler, but the writing and story are absolutely amazing. It’s everything we’ve come to expect from this series. I can’t wait to finish this in November, but will also be very sad when it’s over. This world should have had WAY more than 3 books

Honored to have received a partial eARC of the final installment of the Empire of the Vampire series!

these books are my favorite high fantasy series of all time. Gabriel de Leon is so tortured it’s absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, this partial copy has me wanting for more, like now. November 4th cannot come soon enough!

favorite quote (so far) “There is a great goodness in you, Gabriel de Leon. The cloak of your despair cannot veil it completely.”

Empire of the Dawn (Sampler) by Jay Kristoff has me anticipating book three so bad right now!
I literally don’t think Kristoff can write a bad book!
It’s impossible!
Can’t wait for this to hit. It’s going to be epic!

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin Press for a sneak peek inside this one!

I've never read anything from this author before, but after reading this, that will definitely be changing. The writing style is so unique, the characters are complex, and the story itself is amazing. I will absolutely be buying this entire series for my personal collection. I absolutely love it and can't wait to read what happens next!

WOW! This was an amazing start to Empire of the Dawn. I was already anticipating the release date but now I am sitting by my mailbox for my preorder to arrive in November. I read this sampler in one go and was so sad when it ended. If you have not read the first two what are you doing? If you have read the first two I highly recommend picking up this sampler to make the wait a little less!

Oh hey, I'm DYING TO READ THIS even more now, thanks.

At the risk of gushing- I LOVE THIS SERIES. While this isn’t the full story I immediately sank back into the world. I hadn’t realized how much I missed Gabriel, Baptiste, and Aaron. The new characters introduced are adding yet another layer of complexity to Gabriel’s story and I am loving it. Lachlan, however, is driving me nuts with his hatred of Aaron - but I suppose it’s a normal phenomenon for some people to not be able to let go of their prejudices even though they have been presented with new information. This teaser has made me even more eager to read the full book; November can’t get here soon enough!

WoW... When you think there is nothing else to bring to the table, the author pulls new characters from the past and present that immediately grab our attention. I love the family Leon past story, and this one will give us more information. I read only a sample, but it's already promising. Also, we'll have more from our favorites. I got access to this one yesterday, and I couldn't put it down.

PHENOMENAL. Jay Kristoff just blows me away every time. I'm obsessed with the intricacies and layers of this world, the complex characters, the gorgeous writing, and the sheer dark grittiness on every page. This is what gothic fantasy should be, and I'm absolutely dying to read the rest! Is it November 4th yet???

What a tease! I’m super stoked for the official release. Hard to give a full 5 stars to something I’ve read only a part of but this is very promising! Happy, yet also sad, that the journey is coming to an end.

Despite being just a teasing taste of the book, I am very eagerly awaiting November! Cannot wait to read the remainder, so excited!

Thank you to St. Martin’s Press & NetGalley for the opportunity to read an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Big thanks to Netgalley and Jay Kristoff for an eARC in exchange for a review.

So, to be clear, I got a SAMPLE. whomp whomp.

I nearly passed out when I got the email saying I was approved, then proceeded to cry like a tantruming toddler when I realized it was only part of the book.

But GOD DAM was it good. I'm anxiously awaiting the full book (I pre ordered, cause of course) and if I have time (bahhh hahaha no I don't) I might do a reread of the first 2.

I'm anticipating a twist with Celine, I think I know, but again SAmPlEr ugh.

5 stars and I'm unlikely going to change it to anything less once I read the second half.
