This is a true horror novel in the sense that it will leave you an uncomfortable, heart-pounding, anxious, mess.

There were a few times I wondered what made me think I could do this. Which is exactly the point.

I love books that make me feel things. Anything. And this book definitely did that.

I saw not a single part of this book coming. I’m still reeling.

This was a ride. A “who-done-it” / who can I trust / is this paranormal?? is it not?? / why am I crying??? /who is the villain??? RIDE.

I cried, I cheered for these people, I hated these people, I was scared, I heard noises in my own house!!!!

C G Drew’s is an auto-buy author for me now. This was phenomenal.

I absolutely devoured this book and the writing was SO lyrical and gorgeous in the creepiest way ever.

I’ve never read this author before but I’m absolutely obsessed. Elodie and Bren are a haunting couple and I didn’t know who to dislike more. Ultimately Elodie won and I loved to hate her.

If you like creepy motherhood stories mixed with family secrets and haunted houses- this IS for you.
This one will stay with me for a long time. What a good read. So original and made the hairs on my arms stand up. Goosebumps.

This was a difficult read at times, though I felt the authors note quite soothing at the end. If you like creepy houses, struggling mothers/marriages, dark family secrets, I'd recommend this one. I like this author's YA books and hope they continue to write both YA and adult horror!

as a long time lover of CG Drew’s, I was so excited to get to read her adult horror debut. It was absolutely incredible. The way she built suspense and keeps you guessing the entire time but still engaged is hard to master. This was executed masterfully. Yet again, she has delivered another 5 star read for me!
