I recently had the pleasure of reading "The Journey to You" and felt compelled to express my admiration for its beauty. Despite its brevity, the book conveys a remarkably profound message. As a mother myself, this picture book deeply resonated with me, capturing the very essence of motherhood. It so eloquently illustrates that while the journey may at times feel lengthy, the destination is, without question, immeasurably worthwhile.

I would highly recommend "The Journey to You" to those anticipating motherhood, as well as to individuals who have been navigating this incredible path for some time.

Thank you to NetGalley for the eARC!

A sweet rhyming picture book with some lovely illustrations. The color palette is very soothing and works well with the simple, but poetic text. This is clearly a genuine expression of love that I imagine parents will find very moving, and I can easily picture this in a bedtime reading rotation.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this e-arc for my review.

This book was absolutely gorgeous - it was sweet and perfect. The words were simple but oh the emotion behind them - as a woman trying to have a baby I sure did feel Allllll the emotions! I read this book to my nephews and they both said that they enjoyed it.

A story of a journey, shared by a dandelion seed on the breeze and a mother with heart-aching love for her baby child. This is a rhyme of devotion, determination and unquestionable adoration, as the parent gives rhyming couplets to the young subject of her affections, and we see the widescreen drama of her journey and how determined she would be to reunite with her offspring. I don't know who to credit for the dandelion seed aspect of the visuals, for the artist is certainly skilled and the author cannot be thought inferior with what she brings to proceedings. As far as these gentle affirmation verses go, this is a really well-presented one, and a strong four stars as a result.

This book is a poetic look at a mother's love. Saying all she would risk. All she had to over come for her child. That everything is a journey toward her child.
The pictures are beautifully drawn with ethereal nature of different natures and contingency that would be overcome.

A truly beautiful and emotional read! This sweet picture book captures the love, heartache, and hope that comes with the journey to parenthood.
The rhymes are simple yet powerful, and the stunning watercolor illustrations are soft and meaningful.
Though written as a children’s book, the emotion behind each word is incredibly powerful for adults, especially those who’ve walked a challenging road to parenthood. Highly recommend for a short, meaningful read!

This is a beautiful picture book. I loved the style of the illustrations.. It's a beautiful message and I think any child would enjoy the story about how much their parent loves them. I can only imagine the struggles that parents face with fertility issues and/or adoption and I feel like the book handles that topic really carefully. I feel like this is a perfect gift to families who walked through that.

With this being a children's book, I had my daughter read it to me. The book cover caught her eye and said it was pretty. She loved all the illustrations in the book and how it rhymed. I loved that this book shows us just how much we love our kids and what we would do for them. It was a great book.

The Journey to You, written by Payton Lynch and illustrated by Siski Kalla, is a moving picture book with spare yet evocative prose and stunning illustrations that lend even more feeling to the carefully chosen text. This book is simply exquisite, and while it is about adoption, I think it would be a perfect gift for any child to help them understand the lengths a mother would go to for her child.

I highly recommend this as a gift for any new parent, but especially one that is adopting or fostering. What an incredibly beautiful message, a modern-day Runaway Bunny (by Margaret Wise Brown) for this generation.

Many thanks to the author, the illustrator, the publisher, and NetGalley for the chance to read and review this e-galley. I can't wait to purchase a hard copy and have extras on hand to give as gifts.

This is a beautiful well written children's book. With a strong connection to all the adults reading it. It's simplicity throughout the book is easy for anyone child to 99 years old to understand. Having a baby it's not always easy for some. But when you get to hold that baby in the end is a magical experience that this book captures. The illustrations throughout the book were very simple yet beautiful and rememberable I highly recommend this book.

Oh my gosh, what a sweet, heartwarming book.

It is, in the simplest terms, the best and most beautiful description of a mother's love overcoming all obstacles for her baby. I can see this as being 'that book' that a mother reads to their child and the child always remembers it. You can tell the words are true and from the heart, and the beautiful, somehow nostalgic illustrations only make them more precious.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for providing me with a free eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This short read is filled with lyrical beauty and enchanting illustrations that truly capture the deep, tender love of a parent. Every page radiates warmth, wrapping you in a cosy, heartfelt embrace. It’s the kind of story that makes you pause and smile, and I can only imagine how comforting it would feel for a child to hear it read aloud.

A soothing, love filled experience from start to finish.

This is such a simple and sweet story about a mother's love for her child. It felt very fitting to read this the day after Mother's Day. The rhyme's are cute and perfect for a picture book. I loved the art and how they connected to the content of the words. Overall, a very cute picture book.

As someone who tried for almost 2 years to conceive, this book hit home! It was all worth it to have the little guy and, as the book says, I'd do it again. Such a sweet book.

The Journey to You is a sweet reflection upon the path to motherhood. I liked that it does not specify a certain struggle that can come with becoming a parent. As a mother who suffered a miscarriage and had a difficult pregnancy with my daughter, I appreciated this book very much. It would be a great read for babies and toddlers. The pictures and rhyming cadence are calming.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this book. Opinions expressed are my own.

That was honestly the sweetest and most heartfelt book. As a mother who struggled a long time to conceive a child. This book really hits home. The story is easy to read to your children, but the words are so impactful for those who have suffered infertility, a loss, or even going through the difficult process of adoption.

This book would make a great gift to any family that have traveled the journey to bring home their precious bundle of joy. It would be a wonderful reminder, and a sentimental story to share with that baby as they grow older.

The illustrations were gorgeous, simple, but also meaningful. I highly recommend this book!

This book was super cute and I loved that the rhyming scheme stayed consistent throughout. I loved that the dandelion seed was included in each illustration, I thought that was a very clever way to drive the point of the book home. At first, I didn't understand how the title related to the story but it was tied together at the end quite nicely.
