Years ago, Denver’s father’s criminal choices led to the death of Sheena’s dad leaving her to raise her three younger sisters alone. Out of guilt, Denver stepped in with financial support and a promise that one day, he’d owe her a favor. Now Sheena’s an empty nester, and she’s ready to collect. Her business proposal forces them to work together. Fighting the very obvious attraction to each other until they can’t.

This is my second Maisey Yates book and definitely won’t be my last. I didn’t realize going into this that it was book #13 in the series but was still able to enjoy it. I just saw the cover, the author and requested the arc. BUTTT If anything I loved the town, the people, and the King family so much I am going to start the series from the beginning as soon as possible.

As the older sister riddled with daddy issues this one had some kick to it. Had me tearing up several times. Something about two stubborn people who don’t believe they are capable nor worthy of love finding that in each other will never fail to ruin me. The smut was so good. I need me a Denver King. Thank youuuuuu!

My only complaint was the ending felt kinda rushed but in the end the problems got resolved quickly so I wasn’t too upset.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

He feels his father was responsible for her father being killed, so he has done his best to help her out throughout her life. She comes to him with a business plan & suddenly they are working together.

This was sort of an enemies to lovers vibe. I wouldn’t say they were full enemies just both grumpy and didn’t have much trust for the other.

This was just meh. There wasn’t a strong Christmas vibe through most of the book which was weird as I thought it would be more Christmasy. I also found the book very repetitive as it kept repeating over and over again the basics of their past traumas involving their families without really going into much depth about it.

The ending felt rushed. I am not gonna lie this one felt like even the author was not truly fully connected to this story. I give it 3 stars because I think the MMC was a good, interesting character just the execution was off for most of the story.

Thank you to netgalley for this free advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was really good. It was heartwarming and romantic. I just love reading Christmas books. I'm a little bummed that the series is ending but I am glad I read every book in it. I look forward to reading the next book that Maisey Yates writes. I'm grateful that netgalley and the publishers let me read this in exchange for an honest review.
