We LOVE books about animals that hold tons of information with loads of pictures, all wrapped up in bite-sized snippets (to make reading easy). This is one that we would absolutely love to purchase for our homeschool shelves- definitely one we would reference again and again!

The illustrations are lovely and there is loads of information presented! Even I, as an adult, enjoyed paging through without the kids and learning a little bit about different types of animal relationships. Some of the facts were known already by my 8yo and he absolutely LOVED to identify which he knew and what was previously unknown- loved to guess what the facts would be by the picture!

Highly recommend if you're looking for a super high quality non-fiction for kids (or really any age!).

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

DK has done it again! I throughly enjoyed this book about animal partnerships in the wild. There are so many... some I knew, many I had no idea! We learn about land and sea animals, insects, reptiles, mammals, you name it!

I really enjoyed the explanation in the beginning about how not all partnerships mean equal benefit to the two species involved. The symbiosis in the animal kingdom is fascinating and beautiful, and "Animal Partnerships" does a great job at describing them. We have a great balance of real imagery and illustrations, seems to be mainly for your "hard to capture" partnerships.

The book is very well organized and I believe it will hold a student's attention very easily. As a future science teacher, I would love to incorporate this book into my classroom and curriculum!

Gorgeous and informative. I love kids books like this that give a ton of information in easy to digest snippets. Kids can learn new vocab, learn about a new animal, or just pick a part that looks interesting to them and see what they find. This is a book that adults can also enjoy without the heavy lift of an adult non-fiction title.

Thank you for the ARC. I can't wait to purchase for my library.

Animal Partnerships absolutely blew me away! I originally thought it would be a fun nature book for kids, but it turned out to be a total gem—one of those rare books that’s just as enjoyable for adults as it is for younger readers.

The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous! Every page is a visual feast, filled with vibrant colors and beautifully detailed images that feel both artistic and scientifically accurate. I loved the combination of illustrations and real-life photographs, as well.

And the information? Fascinating and totally kid-friendly. The writing is clear and engaging, full of surprising facts about how animals help each other in the wild. I learned things I’d never heard before, and the way it’s presented makes it easy for kids to understand without ever talking down to them. It strikes that perfect balance of educational and fun. My 9- and 5-year old will LOVE owning a physical copy of this book!

Whether you're a parent, teacher, or just someone who loves nature, this book is a joy to explore. It sparks curiosity, encourages empathy for wildlife, and looks stunning on the shelf. A definite 5-star read—and one I’ll be recommending often. Thanks, NetGalley

In our family, we are huge fans of DK books, and Animal Partnerships is no exception. This book is perfectly age-appropriate for kids aged 7-9, with a reading level that would keep them engaged and eager to learn. My favorite part of this book is the mix of illustrations and stunning photographs is also a great bonus, creating a visual experience that is fun and unique for this book.

We loved the snippets of information and fascinating little facts scattered throughout. We learned so much about the surprising alliances in nature. A few of our favorite facts that we learned:

- Carpenter ants perform surgery on each other when their legs are injured
- Butterflies drink the "tears" of crocodile-like reptiles called caimans
- The gopher tortoise burrows so much into the ground that it creates a place big enough for other animals to move in and live peacefully together… like the Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake

Overall, we loved this book and think it would make a great addition to any library, especially those who love learning about wildlife. Thanks to the publisher and NetGallery for an eARC of this book for review.

This book is very informative. I really enjoyed the art and how it combined actual photographs with drawings. My daughter said she would rate this book four stars, while my son rated it five stars because he loved all the bugs that were represented in the book. I can see this book becoming a great addition as an additional resource for our homeschool science curriculum.
