Amy Ting has produced a book of adorable characters for crocheters of varying skill levels. The photography is beautiful and the creatures have real character. Patterns are clear and easy to follow. The use of staggered increases gives the creations a smoother look and a professional finish. I can't wait to try out some of the patterns. Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic amigurumi book, with both adorable creatures and well written instructions.

The book opens with an intro and a list of tools, yarns, notions and even a mention of the different ways to hold a hook, before diving in to the basic stitches used in the book. I really liked the use of QR codes to specific yarns and video tutorials for the steps, so people of all learning styles can understand.

The stitch descriptions, and all of the projects have well written steps and clear photos (even of the wrong side of the work!) , so you know exactly what is going on and how your pieces are meant to look.

The projects are graded from intermediate-beginner (so you need to know how to do basic crochet, this is not a book for a brand new crocheter) through to advanced, and feature spirals, colour changes, colour change in the round, shaping and more. They're well written and easy to follow, and feature notes at the start advising the techniques the crocheter will encounter.

Overall an excellent amigurumi book, and I can't wait to start stitching these!

What a great amigurumi book! The book starts with advice on which tools to use, followed by explanations of the techniques. The techniques are shown in pictures with text in the book, but there is also a QR code which links to a tutorial playlist on youtube. The videos are very helpful and explain the techniques well. After the techniques, you can find patterns of the cute little animals! The patterns are divided into three difficulties: intermediate-beginner, intermediate, and experienced. Many animals are included in this book: a chick, duck, hen, koala, panda, shark, turkey, spider, otter family, monkey, sea star, polar bear, axolotl, frog, fox, dolphin, bald eagle, beluga whale, penguin, seal, sloth, sea turtle, pug, pig, and capybara. All animals are super cute!! I'm excited to try out these patterns!
