big fan of Daria and of this series, and loved seing the other characters return and come back with their same characteristics and growth. the lead femaled was a little stubborn about what I thought was a silly concern, but that's romance for you!

This was such a beautiful story of learning to love again and to trust again. What a beautiful way at depicting that trusting someone is okay and that being perfect all the time is not needed. Feeling like you’re responsible for your family hold a lot of weight and when you feel your every move is being watched, it leaves a lot of pressure on yours shoulders but this story reminded me that at the end of the day, your family will love you and it’s okay to put yourself first and take a step back.

The main characters in this love story, Roman and Ava, are well-matched, but Ava's mistrust in love prevents them from moving forward in their relationship for most of the book. I was rooting for them, however, by the time I was 2/3 in I was pretty done with her and her family. I did finish listening to it, but it didn’t accomplish anything more till the very last pages. The narration is well done, the story is just pretty repetitive and long.

Along Came Amor is an EPIC conclusion to the Primas of Power series. It's got so much heart that it will heal a little part of you.

First, I'd like to say THIS WAS A CHUNK OF A BOOK. When I received my physical copy, imagine me gasping at its size and KNOWING that I was going to love Ava's story just as much as I've loved Jasmine's and Michelle's. And reader's it didn't disappoint one bit.

Along Came Amor is a slow burn, even with the no strings attached set up between Ava x Roman. But this is more than just a romance story, it's a story about healing one's self, accepting yourself for who you are, and standing up to the years of generational trauma that has debilitated growth. It's so empowering to see Ava find strength in her self especially when your partner is supportive and in your corner. I mean, shoot Roman was about to fight some grannies for his girl.

I also loved seeing glimpses of Jasmine x Ashton and Michelle x Gabe. They are the icing on the cake - to see how they are and to see how they react to our fmc. Plus, the seamless way that the boys adopt Roman into their circle is so sweet!

The ending is PERFECTION. Daria came up with the best way to end this series, bringing happy tears to my eyes. I will miss these characters as if they were my friends. But I know I will come back to this world over and over again.

For the audio production of this novel, Seraphine Valentine, is a wonderful narrator. She brings intense emotion to Ava's character that makes you FEEL ALL OF THE THINGS. I commend her for giving us a range of tones to portray this vibrant cast. Valentine has narrated all of the Primas of Power books and she has become one of my favorite narrators.

I loved it! My favorite book from the Primas of Power series. I loved that it's a second chance at love story, and that both MCs are older and successful. The chemistry was hot and instant, & I liked how their relationship casually progressed and became intense. It was also great that we get to see the progression of the other Primas relationships in this one.

We absolutely LOVE Alexis Daria so we were so excited when we heard Along Came Amor was coming out. So much so that we chose this to be our book box book and all of our subscribers loved as well. Alexis Daria is an auto-buy author for us and this book is exactly why. It was so fun and heart wrenching at the same time. Especially as a latina, the parallels and lived experience are always so refreshing to read. Also loved the audiobook and cover art for this title!

OMG I can so relate to this book with the Latina family! If you are Latino/a, you're going to love this even more than if you're not. Even though this is book 3 in a series, it works as a standalone as well. I'm going to read the first 2 books now! The story is about Eva, a school teacher who went through a divorce and trying to navigate the after effects in her family. She has always been the perfect daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, etc. She meets rich CEO Roman while at a teacher's conference and decides to be new Eva and have a romantic one night stand with him. Then it turns into a night together every few months. Does it grow into more with time, especially with more time together? What will the family say? This is a beautiful, realistic story with quite a few spicy scenes. Love it all!! Thank you NetGalley and Harper Audio for giving me early access to this audiobook!!

This was the book i was waiting for for so long! And it stood up to my expectations!….. For the most part. I was a little disappointed that this book ALSO made me side with a man, so I had to put romance down for a little bit because WTF you mean you said no you two wouldn’t work and then kept using him for when you needed. No matter that he was catching feelings? WHAT?

Ok so I know that people are going to be like “You loved the other book by Danielle Allen and she was also a player. And yes, that’s true, but she was also HONEST WITH THE PERSON WHEN THEY STARTED CATCHING REAL FEELINGS. And then she left them alone. I felt so bad for how Roman was being treated when he was the sweetest. Honestly, he settled and I was mad at it. If he had done that to her we’d be pissed. And I know she was hurt, but without communicating that to at least him, how was he to know what not to do? How not to hurt her? Idk it was weird af and I didn’t like it.

When they finally got it together and stopped playing with each other, they were cute together. I was a little mad at the Fast Forward in the Epilogues tho. Because they should have another book just with their futures lol I loved this series and I would have paid money to visit all of them in the future. And like what about Gabe and ______? ( just in case) I need to check in on all of them. But as far as Ava and Roman, I think their future looks just like I thought it would and I’m so happy for them about that.

Other than the thing I didn’t like, I thought this was a cute fun read. And I usually don’t like billionaire romances. Because for the life of me I will never understand why they have to say no to the money even after they have already proved they don’t care about their money. It’s ok if you don’t ask for it but they buy it for you. I’mma need more women to get hip to that fact lol

I felt bad for Ava tho. She held so much and was the victim of so much misogyny and she didn’t deserve that. And I was sad that she didn’t recognize that she didn’t deserve that. She worked hard and fought for the soft life she ended with and for that I was so proud. And to be with Roman too? From the way Daria wrote him, that made was FINE lol Ava deserved a Roman 110% and I’m sorry that her family made her feel like she didn’t. And like, that

This was a cute book, but I wish the execution had been a little bit different. I just wasn’t a fan of leading him on and he’s a good man. I still enjoyed it, but this made me really question what I would allow from someone if I were in this situation. (And yes I know I’m married, but I was Ava while i was reading this book and even then I felt like I was hurting him.)

This was the best of the series, by far, for me. People pleasing, "perfect", feel like you need to earn love type people be warned- you are seen in both characters here!

Ava's family situation will have you cringing and feeling the internal conflict and complete exhaustion over her need to do all she can for them. Roman is what everyone in that "perfect" role needs as a partner. He was also very relatable for a billionaire businessman because of his need to be a fixer and peacekeeper for his family and friends.

The narrators for this were perfect and brought these characters to life. I loved every second!

Overall I absolutely loved the book. I like the themes of confronting family for too many expectations and gossip. Recovering people pleaser, and growing as a person after her divorce like Ava did. The book was just a tad too long in my opinion to really keep my attention throughout. By the time the wedding finally happens I was ready to move on to another book. Great book.

I had a blast reading this book. It truly was such a fun time. I actually laughed out loud during the bachelorette scene (iykyk). Admittedly I was not the biggest fan of the first book in this series so I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this one!

The family dynamics in the book were such a great plot point. I feel like every oldest child, specifically oldest daughters, can relate to her experience on some level. I also appreciate that she talks through her issues with the family instead of letting her feelings build up and the resentment continue. It was such a productive conversation.

Now, on to the romantic relationship. I love how well Roman knows her. It is the definition of “to be known is to be loved.” He knows her inside and out and only wants to do what is best for her. She grows so much throughout this book. I was a huge fan of her personal growth in all areas of her life.
So glad I picked this one up!

Along Came Amor (Primas of Power #3) by Alexis Daria is here!! Check out my review to see if this is the right book for you.

I’ve never read a book that described my maternal family’s dynamics so well! The judgmental matriarch, gossiping, misogyny, loyalty, controlling behavior over decision-making, “playful teasing,” the expectations, and pressure to be perfect. I even saw a tía (Titi Val) similar to mine (Tati aka Batata) who acts as the trusted barrier between her niece & their family’s judgments.

It’s hard to escape the feelings of shame and loneliness that stems from this inter-generational trauma because of how normalized it is! Like Ava, I spent a lot of my life doing what my family told me was best, but when I really got to know myself outside of our home and held my own, they didn’t respond well.

Despite all of this, we still love each other. It’s just complicated! Thank you, @alexisdaria for capturing this experience authentically!

Ava and Roman’s love story is complicated and deep but it is also sexy as hell!! Their personalities compliment each other well and sometimes their issues mirror the others. I.e. Their tendency to give more of themselves to others regardless of their own needs.

So if you want to read a book with fantastic family drama, a perfectionist who gets messy, & a workaholic who wants to pamper his loved ones, you need to get your hands on this book!

Thank you @harperaudio for a copy of this audiobook in return for an honest review!

What a perfect way to end the Primas of power series!! I loved this one night stand to more, he falls first and hard, dual POV, love story between a millionaire hotelier and a divorced teacher. The strong female friendships were there, the cameos from other couples in the series were chef's kiss and I really enjoyed watching people-pleasing Ava learn to stand up to her family and go after what made her happy. Great on audio and highly recommended for fans of books like Can't get enough by Kennedy Ryan. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

My ARC was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. I’ve been looking forward to the 3rd installment of the Primas of Power series for a long time now and it did not disappoint! I also enjoyed Alexis Daria’s other books outside of this series. Check her out!

I enjoyed the love story between Roman and Eva. They both had trauma that affected the way the interacted with others and the way that they overcame was so real and authentic. This was an emotional, sexy and warm read.

I love the Primas of Power! I have been waiting for this book for so long. i quickly read each of the books and they just kept getting better. I love that we still hear what is happening with Jasmine and Michelle, even though this is Ava's book. The 3 of them have such a great relationship and I love the partners that they each picked. This was such a great addition to this series and I secretly wish there were more Primas to have books about. I highly recommend this book and the whole series.
