When the outdoor temperatures start to sizzle, make it a summer of spritzes!
This sparkling drink guide is a visual delight and a fantastic resource for home cooks and cocktail enthusiasts. The book features stunning photography that showcases each of the clever concoctions with playful presentations and unique glassware.
With chapters covering moods like Excited, Refresh, Relax, Elevate, and Celebrate, you'll find inventive drinks for any occasion.

It’s spritzy summer! The timing of this book release is perfect for the ever growing popularity of spritzes lately. This cocktail book has a wide variety of spritzes from the classic Aperol Spritz and Peach Bellinis, to spritzes that feature more interesting flavor profiles like sweet, savory, and fruity. There’s definitely a spritz in here for everyone (including my bourbon loving husband). I tried a few of the spritzes featured in this book and they all came out great. I’ve got a few more I’m interested in trying, but they’re all simple enough to make at home. Advanced bartender skills aren’t necessary!
I love the layout of the recipes in this book. The pages are neat, clean, and easy to read. Each recipe fits on a single page with easy to read ingredients and instructions (that are in different font colors). I also loved the artistry in the photography. If the recipes aren’t enough to convince you to create one of the recipes in this book, the pictures definitely are. The conversation table at the end is also great and makes the recipes easily accessible to people all over the world no matter their preferred unit of measurement.
I will say the only slight drawback in this recipe book is that a handful of the mentioned ingredients can be harder to find depending on where you live and your accessibility to some of the more unique products listed.

Spritz! is a nice drinks collection with recipes curated by Coastal Kitchen. Released 1st July 2025 by Cider Mill Press, it's 224 pages and is available in hardcover and ebook formats.
This is a surprisingly comprehensive book and full of fun and creative sparkling drinks. This book fits right into the skill building - hosting/entertaining - home hobby genre. The drinks are fresh, sparkling, and low ABV (alcohol by volume).
The intro chapter includes a layman accessible explanation of process, tools and ingredients, and hygiene and cleanliness. The following drink chapters are arranged very loosely "thematically": excite, refresh, relax, elevate, and celebrate.
Recipes contain ingredients in a bullet point list in a sidebar. Measurements are given in standard imperial (American) units, followed by step by step instructions. Alternative brewing methods or ingredients are listed after the main/classic recipe along with serving suggestions. The photography is clear, professional, and appealing.
Well written and presented, this would make a good gift choice, library selection, or a fine addition for folks who enjoy entertaining.
Four stars.
Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.

Great book of sparkling drink recipes. Chapters are Excited, Refresh, Relax, Elevate, and Celebrate. I love that each drink has a color photo, which is helpful for both the glass and garnishing. My rating is a 4 because quite a few of the drinks seemed to have very specific special ingredients which might not be widely available. But if you enjoy spritzes and sparkling drinks, definitely check out this great guide.

This is a great summer drink recipes from the classic Aperol Spritz and Elderflower Spritz to more exotic concoctions like the Raspberry Beret (rose, vodka, lime juice, simple syrup, soda water, and raspberries). There are also really gorgeous image sthroughout.
This is the perfect way to get inspiration for sunny cocktails. Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

Book Review: Spritz! Cheers to 100+ Refreshing, Sparkling Cocktails by The Coastal Kitchen
Rating: 4 Stars
I recently had the pleasure of reviewing a copy of "Spritz!" by The Coastal Kitchen, and it’s a sparkling addition to any cocktail lover’s collection. The cover alone grabbed my attention—bright, inviting, and bursting with promise. Inside, the book kicks off with a concise introduction before diving into five distinct sections of spritz recipes cleverly named Excite, Refresh, Relax, Elevate, and Celebrate. Each section offers a variety of bubbly concoctions to suit any mood or occasion.
What I love most about this book is how approachable the recipes are. Most are straightforward and don’t require a long list of obscure ingredients, which makes mixing up these effervescent drinks feel totally doable—even for casual home bartenders. The clear, step-by-step instructions make it easy to craft everything from a zesty Limoncello Spritz perfect for summer evenings, to a floral Elderflower Fizz that’s ideal for garden parties. There’s also creative spins like the Champagne Mojito and a bold Sparkling Negroni that add a fun twist on classic favorites. And if you’re gearing up for a celebration, the Raspberry Prosecco Fizz is both festive and fruity—just what you need to toast a special moment.
The photography throughout the book is beautiful and really helps bring each recipe to life. It’s one of those books you’ll want to keep on your bar cart for inspiration when you want to impress guests or simply enjoy a refreshing drink yourself.
My only reason for giving it four stars instead of five is that while many recipes are quick and easy, a handful do require some prep or specialty ingredients that might challenge beginners. Still, it’s a minor quibble in an otherwise delightful collection.
Overall, Spritz! is a fantastic resource for anyone looking to add some sparkle and creativity to their drink repertoire. Whether you’re hosting a sunny afternoon gathering or an evening celebration, this book has you covered. Definitely worth adding to your home bar library—cheers to making every occasion a little more bubbly!

This was a great cookbook. Very easy-to-follow recipes. I can't wait to try these recipes. I would highly recommend this book.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC.

Perfect addition to entertaining book collection. I love that it has photos of all the drinks. The recipes list the glassware, garnish, ingredients and directions. You also get more than just the drink recipes like syrup and a sorbet which was a nice bonus. After finding the Aperol Spritz as a new favourite I'm looking forward to try out and see what other ones I find yummy.

Spritz is full of creative cocktail recipes that contain bubbles! This beautiful book is full of gorgeous images that make you want to try all of the recipes. I personally LOVE prosecco and I can't wait to try a bunch of these!
Spritz is broken up into the following sections: Introduction, Excite, Refresh, Relax, Elevate, Celebrate & is concluded with a helpful index. I appreciate that the Celebrate section focuses on lower ABV so that you can enjoy a few without over indulging.
The recipes clearly list out the glassware, garnish, & ingredients needed with easy instructions on how to prepare the beverage.

4.5 stars
I have to admit when I picked up this cocktail cookbook I was not holding out much hope for creativity after all how many variations on a spritz cocktail are there before its all repetitive. Boy, was I wrong. Yes, there are the traditional spritz where you add a bubbly feature to a base liquor, think an aperol spritz or French 75. However, there are also incredibly inventive ingredients and cocktails as well, like olive-leaf infused gin, raspberry syrup and seaweed-infused honey to name a few. I am very excited to deep dive into these unique flavor profiles. Each recipe includes an introduction, garnish, glassware, ingredient and easy to follow instructions. There is also an enticing photo of the concoction, artfully styled. I highly highly recommend this one for home mixologist looking for new and adventurous additions to their cocktail lineup.

The most fun, beautiful, and bright – perfect for #summer - #cocktailbook with all things #spritz! Some of my personal favorites (yes – it was all I could do not to list every single one): The classic Aperol Spritz, the pineapple-centric Ananda Spritz, the Apple of Your Eye, the Botanical Garden Spritz, the beloved Negroni Sbagliato, the Broken Bicyclette, the Sour Cherry Spritz, the “I Wish I Was in New Orleans”, the quirky “Stranger Things”, the Cucumber & Rose Highball, the Veruschka, the Violet Skies, the Cauldron Cure, the “No One Mourns the Wicked”, and more.

This one is the PERFECT #summertime #cocktail #inspiration for everyone in your life – including you.

Wonderful summer cocktail book. Makes you feel you're on vacation. The recipes are easy to follow. The images are bright. Can't wait to try some of these Spritz

I fell in love with the Elderflower Spritz while visiting Paris a few years ago during a heat wave. There was nothing like stopping in the midafternoon heat and relaxing with a cool, refreshing drink. So when the temperatures hit 95°F this weekend after mowing the yard, I pulled out this book and looked for a similar feeling in a cocktail. My husband was curious how the recipe for the Elderflower Spritz in this book compared to the one on the St. Germaine website, so he made two for each of us. This book wins! With the temperatures rising, I’m looking forward to trying more of these drinks over the summer.
The book has a brief introduction then is followed by five sections of spritz recipes themed Excite, Refresh, Relax, Elevate, and Celebrate. The majority of the recipes are short and relatively easy to make. We even had the garnishes on hand for the recipes we made this weekend. There are a few that involve making a simple recipe and other ingredients that we would have to procure, but most of them were items that we had in our rather extensive bar supplies. The recipes were followed by beautiful photos of the drinks. I would love to have a copy just for the pretty pictures.
Recommended for spritz lovers and those looking for a cool refreshing drink this time of year.

This book was delightful. All of these recipes were so interesting to look at, there were some that I was familiar with but most are new to me and I definitely want to try them now. It was helpful that there were pictures of each drink (and all of them looked amazing and made me want to try the drinks even more), and the recipes were simple and easy to follow.

i really like this cocktail book, and the way that it is colourful and there are some lovely cocktail recipes in this book. i especially like the drinks photography in this book!

Perfect book for someone looking for an inventive drink book. The recipes are not difficult (mostly) and are very unique. This would make a wonderful hostess gift as well.

Every year, when the sun comes out for the first time after winter, my friends and I go looking for a recipe for our next summer drink. This book has enough recipes with ideas for years to come!
There are five categories (excite, refresh, relax, elevate and celebrate). There’s always a short explanation of what to expect from the different spritz or when best to serve it, what glass to use and possible garnishes. The instructions are short and clear. As someone who doesn‘t like the classic variations of spritz with Aperol or Campari, I was delighted to find a wide variety of liquor options. There are fast and easy recipes with only two or three ingredients, which you will most likely already have at home, and there are recipes that need some preparation and contain less established ingredients. You will also find some „side“ recipes for infused liquors, shrubs and syrups.
I found the overall layout and the pictures of the different spritz appealing. The conversion table and index at the end of the book were very useful to me.
Would I buy this book for myself? Maybe not. But would I buy it for a friend as a small present? Yes, definitely!

This was a fun book and would make a great hostess gift for the spritz lovers in your life. The photos were beautiful and the layout was clean and easy to read. Recipes ranged from simple to complex for those who are looking for a libation adventure. While I’m not sure where I would be able to find some of the ingredients, it would be an adventure to find them in my area. It was nice to see some classic drinks and I especially enjoyed pop culture reference drink names like “No one mourns the wicked”.

Overall I enjoyed this cocktail cookbook featuring spritz. I got some great ideas for my bar and enjoyed the pictures and easy to follow instructions. I felt some of the ingredients are too difficult to find and there wasn’t a ton of front copy to explain the overall narrative. However I’ll definitely be making some of these soon!

I love a good spritz. I love them at home, I love them on vacation. I even have a shirt that says "Member of the Spritz Club". It's a very serious thing. My go-to is typically a Hugo, but I am also a Aperol lover too.
This book is beautiful. The drink receipes are laid out very well. The photos are gorgeous. My only main critique is that some of the ingredients are going to be tough to find for the average person. I do like that some of the syrups and flavorings have recipes within the book, so that helps in trying to make the drinks. If you're willing to spend some money on the different liquors and bitters, I think this is book makes it super easy to make the drinks.
Overall, this was a great book. I really enjoyed looking at it and reading the recipes. They brought back a lot of really good memories.
