It's been a while since I have read a book by Lauren Blakely and I'm regretting that now. My Favorite Holidate reminded me how much I enjoy her books. The humor is top notch, and the romances are swoony. I loved the fake dating scenario in this book. Fable and Wilder were so much fun. He was the billionaire boss with a heart of gold determined to show her how a real gentleman treats a lady. She was a creative woman determined to bring joy to others through her designs. Their banter was fun, and their chemistry was electric. The holiday games added the entertainment as did the side characters. This book was such a joy to read. It makes me want to go back and read Ms. Blakely's releases I've missed.

I absolutely love Lauren Blakely and her writing style.

This book gives the holiday feels.
Wilder is chefs kiss in the book boyfriend department
This book is equal parts funny, spicy, and sweet.

When the holidays come around I can see this being a reread for me. And I will highly recommend it to all my book friends.

This was very cute and spicier than I thought it was going to be, and I liked it a lot. I thought it was a little long, but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. This would be a perfect holiday read or even just on a snowy day.

For a Christmas romance, this is pretty angsty and heavy on the “we can’t really be together in real life” inner monologues BUT I’m a big fan of fake dating and when you throw in the “get back at the cheating ex with a new billionaire boyfriend” trope, I am bound to have a great time! This was no exception. There was some sizzling chemistry; fun, flirty banter and the spice was spicin’.

Thank you NetGalley and Atria Books eGalley for this advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first Lauren Blakely book that I've read and it was so so cute! Love me some spicy Christmas rom-coms!! If you love billionaire romance, then you will for sure love this book so much! Wilder (billionaire boss) and Fable devise a plan to start fake dating after her sister gets proposed to at a family dinner. Not only that, Fable is in need of a fake boyfriend when she walks in on another woman on her knees in front of her boyfriend. Gosh I loved this book. It gave all the Christmas cozy vibes with fun and games in the mix as they prepare for Fables wedding. Fake dating is my favourite trope so if you love that trope, you will love this book!

This is a cute holiday romance. Fable and Wilder are lovable main characters that you want to see have a happy ending. Their friends and family and fun and entertaining as well. A little long for my preference, but a fun read.

This book is festive fluff and fake-dating perfection in the best way. Fable and Wilder are total opposites with sizzling chemistry, wrapped up in holiday charm, swoony slow-burn moments and laugh-out-loud banter that had me grinning like a fool.

The small-town setting feels like stepping into a snow globe, and the emotional payoff? So worth the wait. It’s romantic, heartwarming and just the right amount of spicy.

Lauren Blakely knows how to write characters you root for, and this one’s officially earned a top spot on my holiday reread list.

This is a very sweet and spicy romance that is sure to warm up the cold winter days better than a fireplace! One bed, a single dad, and Christmas....what else could you possibly want?

This book is #5 in the How to Date Series, but I read it as a standalone and it can definitely be read out of order! This is a sweet but spicy holiday office romance that you won’t want to miss this winter. Fable and Wilder are the maid of honor and best man in an upcoming Christmas wedding and have to navigate the prewedding events while keeping up with their fake dating ruse after Fable is cheated on by her (she thought) golden retriever boyfriend. Of course, their friends and families aren’t the only ones who aren’t aware that they are faking it. From the beginning us readers know that they are faking the fake feelings and their crushes are QUITE real. This is a quick read that will keep you on your toes and wanting more! I would be absolutely SHOCKED if you didn’t eat this up in 1-2 days. In addition to the loveable single dad FMC and cute, quirky, but strong and independent FMC the side characters in this one are so fun and rightfully deserve their own books! This book exemplifies what it is to have an amazing, irreplaceable group of supportive girlfriends AND a solid male best friend which were heartwarming bonuses to an already great romance book! There were many parts that had me giggling and kicking my feet throughout this read which automatically brings it to my books recommendations list! This is a definitely 4 stars for me and a must read during the holiday season! If you love fake dating, found family, and work place romance this is right up your alley.

This was a light and quick, cozy romcom perfect for anyone who loves binging on Hallmark movies during the holidays. This is billionaire fake dating done right, with Wilder & Fable showing how much they care for each other even while they try to deny their feelings are more than “just practice.”

What is better than a Lauren Blakely Christmas novel? Not much!

Wilder & Fable’s story is a fake dating relationship that begins when fable’s boyfriend is caught cheating at her company Christmas party. They come up with a plan to fake date each other.

The spice was spicing! Highly recommend this book!

I am a sucker for a holiday romance and although it is May- I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Fable & Wilder are both such Christmas freaks, it was so cute. And you really can’t resist a billionaire, philanthropic single dad who also owns a football team. I know I can’t.

One of my favourite aspects of holiday romances is always the sense of family and community. The romance is always enrapturing but you just get so much more from the family dynamics or the small town politics. It gives all the warm fuzzy feelings.

Wilder’s daughter was also a little mischievous angel. I loved her antics and thought she was the cutest thing.

If you like billionaire romance, fake dating, ONE BED and single dad romance, please read it. Save it for a fireplace around the holidays- best read with a cup of cocoa.

4.25 Stars 🌟

This is one of those stories that are perfect if you want a fun, easy to read/listen to story that is going to leave you with a happy feeling of contentment. By now, most people are familiar with Ms. Blakely and her novels. Somehow, even though I have read numerous books by her, I can still just enjoy the story for the story.

This book itself is part of a larger world that she has already established in the San Fransico area. I think I've read a couple of books from the series, but I'm not sure because this book didn't have the series name in the title. But regardless, it is a cute holiday story that didn't have too much angst.

We are introduced to Fable, an easy to like FMC who works as a successful designer for a major league sports team. Her sister is dating her boss' best friend so they end up spending a holiday together. Things start from there. Wilder, the billionaire CEO who Fable works with, is also a very likeable guy. It is the fake dating trope, but somehow it goes over better than most of those in this trope.

This audio story is made all the better with an All Star cast. This isn't one of the Dramatized Adaptations with all the side effects, it's just narrated with a full cast. When I say it is an All Star cast - it is seriously an All Star cast. The FMC Fable is narrated by Samantha Brentmoor, and Jason Clarke is Wilder. The rest of the characters are played by Andi Arndt, Connor Crais, Vanessa Edwin, Andi Eloise, Teddy Hamilton, Erin Mallon, Noah B. Perez, Shakira Shute, and Ryan West - so it is a fun and definitely full cast.
