Annie leaves her lackluster life to return home after her brother has a terrible accident that has rendered him immobile and non-verbal but the doctors cannot figure out why. When she returns home to her childhood home to help her mother and her brother, she had no idea the tangled web that she would encounter and subsequently help unravel.

A reclusive neighbor, a childhood friend, a lovely man she meets at a local bar and an Aussie woman who comes looking for her missing sister all encounter Annie and their lives are intertwined in ways they could never have imagined!

This book was such a good read! The chapters were short, I love that and just cannot help it! I enjoyed all of the characters, even the nutty ones-ha! I usually can figure out twists ahead of time but there were quite a few that I did not see coming and one that made my jaw drop and would NEVER have guessed!!

Thank you Boldwood Books for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Annie returns home after receiving a letter from her mom informing her that her brother has been in an accident. Her life is already turned upside down, and she rushes to his side, determined to figure out what really happened to him. As she delves deeper into the mystery, long-buried secrets resurface, threatening to expose her family’s darkest secrets. A friend comes forward with a secret she has been holding onto, demanding answers. But the more they uncover, the more the situation spirals out of control.

This book is an absolute page-turner. I finished it in a single day and couldn’t put it down. It reminded me of V.C. Andrews’s “Flowers in the Attic,” and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of reading it. The shocking twist at the end was truly unexpected and left me in awe. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good mystery, and I’m definitely looking forward to reading more of her works.

Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for this ARC. This was my first time reading anything by Amanda Brittany. Let Me Out was a face paced thriller told from different points of view. It kept me interested and the end was full of twists that kept me guessing and rather shocked. I look forward to reading more by this author!

Amazing book. The twists and turns were Incredible, I did figure some of it out however not to the extent of knowing what was going to happen.

I thought the characters were great, I love how it spoke about mental health and how badly it can affect someone.

Overall a great book, highly recommend!

Great twisty thriller, with characters that interact in ways that lead to unexpected mysteries over time. Wonderful writing from an excellent storyteller.

A Great read!
It has the creepy vibe to it. Annie is a doctor in London when she gets a call to say she is needed at the home she grew up in as her brother Elliot has been in an accident and is paralysed, however doctors are hopeful he will recover.
Lots of secrets in this small town, will Annie ever find out what happened to her childhood friend Giselle? Lots of twists in this, it certainly kept my attention. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing thriller. I have stayed up all night to finish. Definite vibes of Frieda McFadden with all the twists and turns. A must read for fans of psychological thrillers

Amanda Brittany’s “Let Me Out” is the first book I read of hers. Annie returns to her hometown of Ridgewater after she finds out her brother, Elliot, was injured in an accident six weeks prior. Her mother is the one who lets her know. Annie’s already on leave from her job as a doctor and goes back to Ridgewater because the circumstances of Elliot’s accident are similar to the night she lost her childhood friend, Giselle.

Her brother survived his accident, but cannot speak or move. None of the medical tests show injuries that would explain Elliot’s current condition so the doctors are hopeful he’ll make a full recovery. Soon after Annie’s return, she runs into Natalie. Annie and Natalie were friends as teenagers until Natalie abruptly stopped talking to her. Annie has always wondered why Natalie ended their friendship.

This book is made up of three parts. There are chapters that serve as flashbacks that help explain what’s occurring in the present day. I found the introduction of a missing girl into the plot to be a little jarring. Maybe I missed it, but I don’t recall the girl’s name or disappearance being mentioned until the middle of the book.

I enjoyed the author’s writing style. I found the ending of the book a little disjointed. Answers were given, but I found at least one of them to be slightly far-fetched in nature.

Overall, I recommend this book. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my ARC.

A fast paced thriller that made me wonder about everyone, who did it?
A realistic but almost quaint setting set the scene for a claustrophobic whodunnit with well written characters and plenty of back story.
I couldn’t work out who the bad guy was due to all the unexpected twists and the end when it came was a bit of a shock, something I did not see coming.
Original and exciting, I will read more from this Author.

What an engaging read. I was a little confused at the start where it was going, but when it did I could not put it down. It was full of suspects, as just as you discounted them, their actions made you suspect them again. The plot twisted and turned like a corkscrew and the ending was more than ‘left field’. I would be amazed if any reader managed to completely predict the ending. I will now add Amanda Brittany’s books on my authors to look out for list.

This was my first book by Amanda Brittany, and I’ll definitely be checking out her others. I read a lot of thrillers and usually figure them out early on, but this one genuinely surprised me. The twists completely caught me off guard (like, gasp-and-hands-on-top-of-my-head surprised), and I never felt bored or stuck.

At first, the different storylines threw me off a little...I wasn’t sure how they were connected. But when it all came together, it worked. I’ve been in a bit of a slump with thrillers lately, and this one pulled me right out of it. Easy to read, fast-paced, and kept me guessing the whole time.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read this ARC!

This book is one you won't be able to put down. There are so many twists and turns. There is a surprise ending also.

I was not expecting that ending. I genuinely suspected everyone at one stage and had no idea how everything was going to link together, but it did so perfectly.

Fast paced and easy to follow. I felt like I could understand and emphasise with the characters easily.

I devoured this in one sitting because the plot was so good. Would definitely recommend.

A very fast paced thriller of a novel from Amanda Brittaney. I found it easy to emphasise with the characters and the plot was so good, I stayed up late into the night to finish it. Highly recommended.

When Annie's brother Elliot has an accident, she doesn't really connect it to what happened to her friend Giselle.

Elliot is now paralyzed and unable to talkso Annie dedicates her time to him. Her friends death is a mystery so as the story evolves it turns into a really clever read.

I loved how the story unfolded and the author at times got me excited. I felt the ending was sudden but that said I enjoyed my reading time and I can't wait for the authors next book.

What a ride! This book had me hooked from the beginning and didn’t let me go. I kept saying one more chapter and I’ll stop, but that resulted in me sitting here all day and devouring this story. The author did a fantastic job leaving you wanting more after each chapter.

The story centers around Annie who comes home after her brother Elliot has an accident. What really happened to Elliot who is now paralyzed and unable to talk? Then there is the mystery of her friend Gisele’s death all those years ago. The story keeps you guessing all the way through as the author weaves the past and present together to tell not one, but several compelling mysteries. I never saw the major twist coming and don’t believe you will either.

The only thing that didn’t make it 5 stars for me was there was a lot to keep track of. While interesting, I found myself having to reread parts of the book to keep it all straight and the ending though unpredictable felt perhaps a little rushed and not entirely flushed out.

However, I still highly recommend this book as it’s the fastest I have read a book in quite some time. Keeping my interest is not always easy and Amanda Brittany definitely delivers!

Amanda Brittany’s latest novel Let Me Out is one crazy psychological thriller that had me guessing until the end. Told from different POV from different characters with flashbacks making this story ultra-intense and interesting. Secrets always have a way of coming back, there are so many in this book. This is one mystery that will have you on the edge of your seat.

When Annie leaves her hometown of Ridgewater she vows to never return. She focuses all her time becoming a doctor. when she gets a letter from her semi-estranged mother that her brother had a terrible accident she is forced to return. Secrets of the past are brought back to life and what happened to Annie's best friend at the age of 11 is uncovered- nothing is what it seems. overall the book was good- it kept me engaged but overall it was a little predictable.

i love it when a book almost manages to give you actual shivers.this book did that and a few characters and a certain house next door certainly made me feel them lurking.
it seemed like everyone in this book could have their own book. they were all keeping something inside. but then i thought, arent we all from those we dont know. but ok, not like something of the things this set of people were keeping quiet about.
ive got to admit when things started coming out i was wishing Annie to flee! or why would she come home in the first place. then again how could she not her brother was injured in the same way her friend died. and turns out another had gone missing at that time too!
but shes coming home for more than just her brothers sake. but this also mean facing a past that she needed to leave behind so much at the time.
i felt the atmosphere throughout this book. it was daring but seemed to fit perfectly together. there was no inconsistencies and it was dark but never seemed a over reach to the plot.
and it managed to make me care for Annie more than i usually do for people featured in this genre. she just seemed like a really good, genuine woman needing to do right and care for people was just in her nature.
i loved how Amanda gave me so many questions and questions in the suspects too. she left me each part or chapter thinking "oh so did you...?" or " hmm what was that?"
the final pay off was so much better than i thought it could ever be. and my suspicions new nothing of the brilliance to come. this book by Amanda is just stunning. fantastic writing mixed with fantastic plot.
