It's just okay. Short read, cute illustrations-- but the story itself is repetitive (mother seeing her mother, etc. etc.) and rather plain. It's not bad, necessarily, just mediocre. Not what I'd anticipated, that's for sure.

CWs: cat chase

Short and sweet. Several generations of female mice try to visit their mothers, get chased by a cat, and all end up together. Similar style to Beatrix Potter and Brambly Hedge.

Lorna Balian’s picture book serves as a reminder that Mother’s Day is also Mother’s Day for one’s mother’s mother and so on and so forth. Balian’s delicate mousies really make this book a delight for young and old.

Lorna Balian’s Mother’s Mother’s Day provides a lesson in that one’s mother’s Mother’s Day is also her mother’s Mother’s Day and so on and so forth. Balian’s sweet, delicate mousies make this humorous picture book a delight for young and old.

I was not expecting how this story would progress, but I was so entertained and laughed so much! Six generations of mice visit their mothers. It was completely entertaining, and I loved the simplicity of the text and the illustrations! A perfect book to celebrate Mother's Day!
