from the get go i felt unnerved and uneasy. was i suspicious of the perfect village. or was i questioning the narrator and main character? what was happening. who was i to be frightened of? love it sometimes when you have a book where your not sure you being told the truth even by the main character. and this main characters has secrets of her own.
Olivia walks through her perfect town every day. shes told herself this is the fresh start. but at night it all changes. there is something off, rotten even. there are sounds in the woods surrounding her. and her rich neighbours are definitely not showing what really goes on behind closed doors but the crack are beginning to show.
this was a guessing game of a book and Jordan did a brilliant job of giving the sense of uncertainty and unease all the way through.

Definitely a thrilling book. I didn't guess the twist at all and I did find the ending being open to be abit unnerving, but I will just choose to belive that justice was served and no one else ended up getting harmed. 4 stars because I am unsure if I liked the open ending or not otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

Every day, Olivia walks her mail route through a picture-perfect town. Every night, she returns to her rundown home and tells herself this is a fresh start. But something’s off; the heat smells of rot, footsteps stalk the woods, and her wealthy neighbors, the Berkleys, are hiding cracks behind their smiles. When a body turns up, the town’s facade begins to crumble. But Olivia isn’t scared. She has secrets too. This was my first book by Jordan Cannon, and I’m already looking forward to reading more.

A creepy tale which had me sucked in from the word go.
Interesting neighbours!
Great storyline, well written characters.
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.

First, thank you Netgalley for this ARC!
The blurb and the cover did both draw me in, and what can I say? The story did deliver what was promised! This was a twisty, fast-paced read I did enjoy from the beginning to the end. I am going to keep an eye on the author from now on. Very much recommended!

THE PERFECT NEIGHBOURS BY J.M CANNON.
Release date is set for the 13th of May 2025.
I really enjoyed this book.
I really liked the pacing of the story
Love the cover.
Straight away I had creepy vibes from the very first couple of pages.
This is my first book by this author and looking forward to seeing what others there are

From the moment I started this book I was engaged. The first chapter pulls you in and gets you curious about what is to come in the rest of the book. There were a few moments when I was getting confused about the MC but in the end it all wraps up and explains. I was intrigued throughout and really enjoyed the twist ending.
