While Pick a Colour was not for me, it will be for someone, so I've given a neutral 3-star rating. The pacing was well done; the story never felt like it was dragging or boring! I just didn't connect with this one, and I think it's largely due to the main character, as the idea was great. If a book has little in the way of an overarching plot and is character-driven, some character growth is preferable, even if minor. I found it really hard to empathize or sympathize with the main character as she was extremely judgemental regarding all of her clients and employees, which I found off putting, as I don't think she was intentionally written that way. Overall, a great idea that unfortunately didn't work for me.
