First of all, thank you so much Entangled for this early copy. I recently read book one in a read along with the Entangled Insiders and was offered the second book early. I’m not sure how everyone who read book one before now has made it this far without the second book! I love Graves so much from book one and that love grew in this one. I love the missions Kierse and Graves endure in this story and the love the evolves between them. The character development and plot were so good! The first quarter of the book when Kierse is trying to steal the bracelet from the queen really drew me in! We have the cauldron, now onto waiting for book three to get the stone 😫

Picking up shortly after The Wren in the Holly Library ended, Kierce is once again tasked with stealing something from one of the many monsters of the world. Sparking her next great adventure and scheme, she finds herself in more inner turmoil than before.

Book 2 dives deeper into the lore of Oak and Holly Kings and their Robin and Wren. Bringing more of the loving characters of the first book, this was a quick and enjoyable read. Thinking this was just a duology, I was not expecting the questions left at the end of this book— so thankfully this is not the end of Kierce’s story.

Oh My! I devoured this book! Not only do we have tension and yearning from our two main characters, while repairing the fragile trust between each other, but we also have so many other dynamic side characters that pull the story along. There's twists and turns, betrayals, reveals...for every question answered, another pops up. This was a fast pasted, non stop read...and those last several chapters!!! OMG! I was gripping my kindle so hard, I honestly didn't know what was going to happen. I am fully invested and can't wait for the next book. If you love a good enemies to lovers, forced proximity, found family, tortured here, spicy! romance, with magic, Celtic mythology, and monsters in NYC...then read this book/series.

This one was so, so good. Kierse is making her way through the aftermath of the solstice, unsure of who she can trust, it anyone. She, Gen, and Ethan are connected now and have no clue what to do with it. She's mad at Graves and Lorcan, but that's a matter of who she's more upset with. Thankfully she reconciles with Graves, but of course he has ulterior motives.

On top of a trip into the Goblin Market and unexpected complications, Kierse is kidnapped and must rely on her team to help her out of horrible situations. How does she keep finding herself like this? Of course, if has the benefit of revealing how Graves really feels about her, so swoon.

This had me so sucked in, I could not put it down. It was like as soon as I started to put together the pieces, the whole puzzle changed and I had to start over. I cannot believe the way this all unfolded, and I need more!

When I say I loved this book that doesn't even begin to describe it. It took over my mind for days and I still can't get the betrayal (or that ending) out of my mind.

I devoured this book in two days. It's amazing, a masterclass in creating a story that will keep a reader enthralled, and it had me falling off of my couch at the end of that last line.

Now, I promised I wouldn't give out any spoilers, and I won't, but let me just say everything you think you know going into this book... well, things may not always end up how you think they will or want them to.

Going into this right after re-reading The Wren In The Holly, I still wasn't prepared for the backstabbing and betrayal, and oh, there's so much betrayal but also the feeling of family, the adventure, and enough spice to keep you warm on a cold New York night.

Now, let's talk about the ending for just a moment; talk about a mind blowing last scene, i cant wait for more of this world. As shattered as my brain and heart are at the moment I want more, so so so much more, and maybe some merch, but that's just my book-loving self hoping.

I do want to thank Red Tower for trusting me with this beautiful e-book, I have voluntarily read it and all opinions are my own.

After an emotional rollercoaster through the first book at basically breakneck speed with the Entangled read along (me going breakneck speed, the read along somehow managed to fall behind? Whoops) I was lucky enough to have this one yeeted at me and thank goodness because I don’t know how everyone else waited that long to find out what happened, the few days I had to wait was agony enough thanks. My hand is hovering right now over the preorder option of this book so I can have the pretty matching one for the first book, but also because I think I might need to open the pages a few times and stare into them in order to process my emotions. K.A. Linde has managed to weave a fascinating story that sucked me in through both books and left me for lack of a better term - gaping like a fish now over here waiting for YET ANOTHER BOOK. I’m fine really, I’m learning to process my emotions in productive ways, like screeching really loudly so I wake up my dog, or making a really obnoxious growling noise in the back of my throat so the rest of my family can look at me rather concerned, or my personal favourite, starting another book to create more emotional damage. If anyone needs me, I’ll be over here waiting for K.A Linde’s other book.

Wow, just holy freaking wow! The last quarter of this book had me pacing and that ending was diabolical; my heart was in my throat.

I had really high expectations heading into "The Robin on the Oak Throne" and Linde surpassed every single one of them. Her writing grabs a hold of your attention and never really lets go. I devoured this book and already need more!

This world has a dark and gritty presence to it but holds some of the most lovable characters that you can't help but root for. The found family trope feels pure and authentic. We get to see the main characters experience so much character development and growth as they deal with the fallout from the events in book one. That bond's resilience is put to the test time and time again because there is no shortage of secrets, lies and betrayal when you're dealing with scheming power-hungry monsters.

The heat and tension between Graves and Wren, Linde went ahead and cranked that spice level all the way up . I can not wait until I can share some of the quotes I highlighted, I was unprepared for Graves passionate mouth 🥵

For every question answered a new one arose, this plot is packed with tension, suspense and hidden agendas-- I can't wait to see where this story takes us next!

Thank you K.A. Linde , Entangled Publishing, LLC |Red Tower Books and Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this book. All thoughts in this review are my own.

I really enjoyed my time with book one but it left me with a lot of questions as it did with all of us. In The Robin on the Oak Throne be ready for some answers! Also…be ready for more questions. This book sucked me in and would not let me go. If I didn’t have to sleep, I started it later in the evening, I would have binged this all in one sitting. I enjoyed every second of this. It made me questions who did I like better Lorcan or Graves? I loved the journey we are on in this book to figure out about not only Kierse’s background and her parents and what happened with them but of course more heists! This book starts out just like the last one but in a different type of setting and I loved that consisency.
Knowing everything that I do now and the journey that K.A. Linde has taken us on so far I am now highly anticipating this third book. I need it in my hands and I need to know what the conclusion to this is going to be. Until then I know there is another series she has written in this world coming out that take place before and I will be checking that out!
Thank you to Entangled/Red Tower for the complementary copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own!

This has been my most anticipated read of June. Book 1 blew me away, book 2 has obliterated me. Grave and Wren had me kicking my feet.

Lorcan had my heart pounding and not in a good way. In a 'I could throat punch this guy' way.

The curator being who he was? Never saw that coming ! Plot twist! Omg!

K.A Linde! What have you done to me !

I could not put this book down. I read it nonstop until I finished it. I cannot believe I have to wait for a 3rd book.
