Girl Lost is an action-packed book filled with lots of twists and turns, frustrations, regrets from the past, and ultimately, a gruesome discovery. Luna and Corbin have a second chance if they can break down the walls erected around their hearts 18 years earlier. As they work together to find their mentor, kidnapped in broad daylight, the walls start to crack. This is a fast-paced story fraught with danger and suspense. I am looking forward to what happens next.

The Biblical parable of the lost sheep is an apt opening for this mystery set in a small Florida town.
When bodies turn up, the grisly discovery only roils the ire of Luna Rosati and Corbin King, ex-lovers now both in law enforcement and reunited after 18 years apart. Luna believes their mentor, Stryker King, who fostered them as teens knows an important secret about their past but he, too, is missing.
For me, the drama between the exes is the undercurrent which drives the storyline. The feelings left unsaid and the regrets over decisions that can’t be taken back. What surprised me was the threading of faith in the characters’ actions and thoughts.
When telling a father that his missing daughter’s body has been discovered, Corbin thinks “How could God, a loving father, bear to see his children suffer like this?” It’s a sentiment that even the faithful struggle with.
This was a good read with flawed, broken characters and a medical thriller that really kicks into gear toward the end. Did I believe how neatly it all wrapped up for Luna and Corbin? Well, anyone who likes an HEA will appreciate it. After all, we all need hope, healing, and happy endings. Still, the final epilogue is a cliffhanger!
Thank you to #NetGalley, the publisher #RevellBooks, and the author #KateAngelo for the ARC of #GirlLost! I look forward to the next book!

This is a difficult read on many levels.
There is deep regret, abuse, teen pregnancy, and addictions. If you are recently recovering from any other above, this is a trigger warning.
We make the best decisions we can as we go through life. Both Luna and Corbin are living that reality.
This book is full of second chances, danger, and the reality of where are world is going trying to play God.
There are many lessons to be learned.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. My opinions are my own.

“God revealed his purpose in his own timing. It was up to each person to remain obedient, so he was standing right where he was supposed to be when God’s timing lined up.”
I have enjoyed Kate Angelo’s previous books from Sunrise Publishing and the author has clearly stepped it up with this book. From the first page, Luna and Corbin had me spellbound with their shared past, chemistry, and how they worked together. I loved Luna’s fierce independence, intelligence, and loyalty. Corbin’s tenacity, street smarts, and dedication to justice made him a fantastic hero. The plot was a fast-paced, adrenaline-pumped ride with tons of twists and turns. I totally did not expect the story to end up where it did and was floored by the intricate plot line. The theme of forgiveness and grace through faith ran strong throughout the story. How God turns ashes of mistakes and regrets into beauty was another major theme I loved. I can’t wait to read the next book about Tori and Blade.
If you enjoy romantic suspense, this is a must read. I received a complimentary copy courtesy of Revell via JustRead Tours and NetGalley and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own.

Wow what a book. Girl Lost keeps you glued to your chair and your eyes focused on what happens next. Kate Angelo has another fantastic book. I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. All opinions expressed are my own.

This book starts and end with a bang. I will say that it is also a cliff hanger, there are unanswered questions.
The author gives us a lot, including printing human organs. There is a lot more going on here, with a strong theme of forgiveness.
We are searching for lost children, and what is exposed is heartbreaking!
I will be looking for more by this author.
I received this book through Net Galley and the publisher Revell, and was not require to give a positive review.

One of my favorite books that I have read this year! Riveting suspense, danger, and romance that kept me reading long into the night. The gripping storyline kept me guessing and took turns I did not expect. It is full of great characters that feed my series loving heart! I loved Luna and Corbin’s story and can’t wait to read the stories of the other friends in the group.
Difficult realities are expertly written to help you see deeper into the characters and who they are. Ms. Angelo tackles some difficult subjects with grace and empathy making the reader feel and experience what the characters do.
This book is a must read! I cannot wait for the next book in the series!
I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are completely my own.

Wow, a book reminiscent of Dee Henderson's O'Malley series but yet also completely unique! I was pulled into the story and our characters immediately. Loved the themes of found family, grace and forgiveness. The mystery was gripping and I enjoyed being there for the ride. Already looking forward to the second book in the series!

CIA officer Luna returns to the place she grew up to find the daughter she put up for adoption 18 years ago and becomes involved in a mystery that includes her daughter's father. This looks to be the first in a promising new series.

Wow, what a story! This one drew me into the action right from the start and I found myself at the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to happen. Corbin and Luna were both such interesting characters--- having both experienced difficult childhoods and then a teenage romance that ended with an unplanned pregnancy and a child put up for adoption. Years later, they come face to face again and find themselves having to search for their missing mentor and the identity of their daughter... which all seemed to be wrapped up in a sinister threat beyond what they would have imagined. There were so many twists and turns to keep me guessing. I don't want to say too much and give anything away, but this one truly was an intriguing story that was absolutely not what I was expecting--- in the very best way possible. I think this is one of the best suspense reads that I've read recently, and one that is certain to stick with me for quite some time... and that ending? Well, I certainly cannot wait to see what is going to happen in the series next. If you enjoy Christian romantic suspense, this is definitely one not to be missed.
**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

Although there were some logical gaps this novel is very suspenseful and the characters are relatable. The end makes it clear that not all questions are answered and the story is to be continued, maybe with other characters in the main focus.

Girl Lost by Kate Angelo was a captivating read and held my attention from start to finish. When Luna and Corbin's mentor Stryker is kidnapped right in front of them, they partner up to not only rescue him but also to find a missing girl. However, their search leads them into something more sinister and corrupt. Luna and Corbin have scars from their pasts and share a history between them. Lost Girl also includes addiction, family dynamics, found family, and Christian elements. There is plenty of suspense, secrets, and danger. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGallery. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I picked this mystery up when I was sick and it was the perfect story to hold my attention! I loved the group of Warriors that we meet and how Stryker has a mission to help rescue underprivileged or troubled teens. Luna and Corbin are among his first students to graduate the program, and must solve the mystery of his kidnapping and how or if it ties into the commissioner's daughter disappearance. I thought that the author did a wonderful job of writing a fast paced story! I look forward to reading more in this series.

Loved reading the amazing and awesome story. When Luna comes back to town to meet with Stryker regarding the baby she and Corbin put up for adoption years ago, Stryker is kidnapped right in front of of Luna and Corbin. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written full of intrigue and mystery, and a must read riveting story.

Kate Angelo came to my attention through partnering with Lynette Eason on her 'Elite Guardians' series. This is a new series for Kate called the 'King Legacy'. If I'm honest, it took me a little while to get into the story but by the end it had me captured.
The ending was well written and sets up the next book in the series. I really enjoyed the resolution of things as it gave me an ending I wasn't wholly anticipating. Also really liked the author's note at the end of the story which connected me to the book more.
I receive complimentary books from various sources, including NetGalley, authors, and others. I am not required to write a positive review, and I have not received any compensation for my thoughts.
