I enjoyed this book immensely. As always, David Baldacci has come up with a good story, lots of plot twists. and perhaps at times a little TOO much action. But within the context of the story--a man who leads a quiet life with his family, employed in a high-powered job in finance, whose life is turned upside down when the FBI approaches him--well, FORCES him, really-- to take part in an investigation. Walter Nash's life becomes un-recognizable, as he is called upon to do things that were once unthinkable after his family is threatened. The character arc is excellent.

I have only one criticism: the ending was quite unsatisfying. It left me hanging.

This was an excellent read with a hero who started out as one dimensional and became a full fledged person you were rooting for. Good suspenseful story and set up for a new series!

I wasn't sure to expect with this new series by one of my favorite authors. While not going the way I initially expected it to, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this one. It definitely gave my Count of Monte Cristo vibes by the end. Interesting characters and a unique plot made for a good quick read. I'm interested to see where this goes as a series and will certainly be waiting for book #2!

Thank you to Net Galley and Grand Central Publishing for this ARC. #NashFalls #NetGalley

Walter Nash starts off as a mild-mannered executive with a comfortable family life. When the FBI pulls him into their dangerous world—tasking him to expose a criminal empire within his company—he’s forced to become something new, something fierce. That journey from ordinary man to reluctant avenger is what powers this story.

Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy of Nash Falls. This was a fantastic tale of how far someone has to go when outside forces upend your life. The only problem with this book is the end. It left the story untold. I felt like my book was missing the last chapter. How can you get me this invested and then not give me an ending?

Another solid Baldacci thriller with a new lead character. I look forward to future installments of this series. As always, the writing is great and the plot, while somewhat fantastical, is well crafted. The supporting characters and their backstories are memorable and help the overall narrative Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.

With the first book in a new David Baldacci series (yay!), we meet Walter Nash, a highly successful businessman living the good life—a multimillionaire happily married to his college sweetheart, Judith, and father to his social media–obsessed daughter, Maggie. His world is turned upside down when the FBI approaches him to become an informant against his company, which is suspected of international money laundering and other crimes. As a senior figure in the business, Nash is in a unique position to gather incriminating evidence. The catch? The last three informants ended up dead. Nash does some digging and agrees to help the FBI, on the condition they protect his wife and daughter. But things go wrong from the start when Maggie goes missing.

As with all Baldacci novels, Nash Falls features well-developed, complex characters. The story is fast-paced and gripping, leaving you both satisfied and disappointed that the ride is over—while eagerly awaiting the next installment. If you’re new to Baldacci, this is a great place to start and will likely inspire you to dive into his other series. This man cannot write a bad book! Thank you to NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

A new David Baldacci character. Walter Nash is an unassuming business man whose life is turned upside down when the FBI approaches him to spy on his boss. Things take a turn when his daughter is kidnapped and he is suspected of horrible things. He runs away and finds a way to change who he is through the help of his father's friend, Shock. The book ends with Walter back in the circle of those he is taking revenge on and finding a way get his revenge. The ending is open to a sequel; however, I don't know if there will be one. The only issue I had with this book was the amount of sex that took place. Nothing graphic but so much.

Walter Nash seems to have it all. A job with a seven figure salary, a wife and daughter who love him, a beautiful home, and a promising future. What he never knew he had was his father's love which plays a primary role in this novel. When Nash is approached by the FBI to become a whistleblower in the company that is laundering money, Nash must make a decision that will change his life and those he loves most. Nash was never a in your face type of guy or the one to pick a fight but when he makes a choice his world changes--he finds all the things that he has avoided his entire life. A very good read and an intro to a complex character. Thanks to the publisher and Net Galley for the arc of this novel.

Exciting, couldn’t put it down read! Loved this book. Walter Nash is an unassuming, kind but brilliant acquisition executive at Sybaritic. But when approached by the FBI to spy on his company, Walter’s works is thrown in disarray. Frames for murder he flies and finds a way to get back to revenge himself. Highly recommend. I want to thank NetGalley and the publisher to allowing me to read this awesome ARC.

Thank you so much Grand Central Publishing, David Baldacci, NetGalley for this ARC!

This book hits the ground running like it’s about to miss a flight and I love it! The dichotomy of the MC, Walter Nash, was exceptional. The mediocrity of his appearance and his lukewarm personality versus his extraordinary compassion and brilliant mind drew me into the story immediately. Rhett was a villain that I both felt bad for and despised. After being approached by the FBI to be an informant of wrongdoing in his company, Nash’s life descended into a rapid downward spiral. After the last page, I literally flipped back and forth a few times, certain there was more. The story ended on a major but promising cliffhanger.

Thriller, suspense, crime drama with an unlikely hero who got an unexpected glow up. I was not expecting to be left with a cliffhanger. I thought something was wrong with my epub file! Great, fast-paced read!

I’ve been a Baldacci fan for a while. He writes excellent stories and fantastic series. His action is great and he sprinkles in enough personal aspects that make you care about the characters. This story fits that bill, with one qualm. I think the story was a bit slow at times. Overall the story was good, fun, fast paced, and entertaining. But at times it just seems to stall a little. I think some things could have been removed without much loss of overall story. In general though it was good and excited to see where it goes next!

Thank you to NetGalley, David Baldacci, and Grand Central Publishing for providing me an advanced reading copy.

Walter Nash lives a somewhat boring predictable life until he doesn’t. When Nash gets approached by the FBI who thinks the company he works for is crooked his life changes. And not for the good. The story is a lot about how he changes and the lengths he will go to to get revenge. I couldn’t put this book down and was very sorry to see it end. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Always a suspenseful and fun read with Baldacci, and Nash is engaging for sure. I did find it was two books….one a financial thriller and the other, a hyped up Lee Child character. Fun, indeed, and a definite best-seller, but a bit cartoony of I’m honest. I’m a huge Baldacci fan since the start, but this one is a large pill to swallow.

It took a little while to get into this one, but through the ghost writing, you get a taste of the old David Baldacci and sense of one of his true disperse novels.

ATE and left no notes! In this book, we join Walter Nash, a man who leads a comfortable, predictable life as a high level finance executive. However, when Nash is approached by the FBI to serve as a whistleblower for his company who may be engaged in nefarious and illegal acts, Nash’s life gets turned upside down. Agreeing to work with the FBI, things take a turn for the worst when the ringleader of the crimes finds out about Nash’s involvement with the feds. A truly unspeakable crime happens to Nash’s family, and he is framed for it. Now he must completely rethink his entire life, shifting into fight or flight mode to clear his name and save his family. Baldacci has become one of my favorite authors and this book here is exactly why! Fast paced, easy to read, with twists and turns at every page. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat, and hungry for more. I can’t wait for the next in what I hope is a long series!

Really good part one of a two part set.
On paper, Walter Nash has the perfect life: beautiful and brilliant wife, smart, gorgeous daughter, a
job that affords him a billionaire like existence and no worries to speak of.
Just a perfect life.
Until it isn't.
The FBI recruit him to help them bring down his boss , which means the end of the perfect life as
he now knows it.
And nothing is the same again.
Great suspense and filled with much more than 1 "I didn't see that coming".
Grisham strikes gold once again.
Purely as an aside, I wish the devastation was a little less intense.
Waiting for the book end.
