Even if this is the first book I've read from this series (which explains why I felt a bit lost at first), I must say it is LOVELY. Not only is it funny but it's also romantic, even if Collin could use a few smacks on the head because, my good lord, is he DENSE.
That asside, the book's well paced (it took me an afternoon to read it), both cozy and spooky (odd mix, but it vibes), and definitly swoony.

This is a charming blend of fantasy romance, family drama, and a historical murder-mystery. The story follows Alice, who works in her grandparents’ antique shop, and Collin, the heir to a rival family with whom hers has long feuded. Despite their complicated legacy, the two are drawn together when Collin enlists Alice’s help in restoring his family’s island hotel. Their connection deepens when they uncover a mysterious ring tied to a ghost haunting Alice’s coven, pulling them into an old tragedy that may hold the key to their families’ animosity.

Alongside the supernatural mystery, Alice and Collin face personal challenges—an insistent ex for each of them and the weight of complicated family expectations. The ghostly mystery keeps the pace brisk, with satisfying answers and resolutions by the end. Light, atmospheric, and entertaining, it is a fun fall read for fans of cozy paranormal romance.

This is a great witchy rom com and perfect for spooky season but this is the 3rd in a series and you definitely need to read the other volumes before you read this one. I think this was one of my favorite of the series so far and I just really love the dynamic between Alice and Collin, they are so cute together and he takes the ghost & magic are reveal very well. I loved that Alice finally stood up to her tyrannical grandparents and finally told them off. I love the found family aspect of the Coven and how they are there for each other through thick and thin. Just a really fun read and I can’t wait to see if there is more in store for Starfall Point.

Thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca and Netgalley for the complimentary copy of this book. All opinions in this review are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review! I really enjoyed this third book, about the witches of Starfall Point, I hope it’s not the last one! The characters are lighthearted and fun, a surprising contrast to the ghostly antics of the witches and the life threatening dramas that they face! I really enjoyed getting to know Alice, and seeing behind her mask, and seeing her growth from a people pleaser to discovering her own power. Not a literary masterpiece, but this book doesn’t need to be, it’s a great, fun read especially going into this year’s spooky season! 4 stars.

I can't believe I missed the second book in this series! So I will definitely be fixing that asap.
I loved getting Alice's story and getting to see her realize she deserves more from the people in her life. Mostly her grandparents, but from her love interest Collin as well, when his ex shows up and bulldozes her way into the life Collin is building, and he lets her.
I love the magic and the ghosts! OMG, Plover will always be my favorite, but I think Arthur is right behind with his love for Betty.
We have this over-reaching plot that gets resolved with the locks that we learned about in the first book, and the person behind it all was definitely a surprise. I love the witches and their relationship with each other. I laughed, I was on the edge of my seat. And I rooted for Colling and Alice. I just had a great time from beginning to end.
I have enjoyed all the books I've read by Molly Harper, and I can't wait to read more of her backlist and whatever she comes out with next!

I enjoyed the plot line and the humor from the characters, and it definitely had some cute and witty moments! That said, I didn’t read the first two books in the series, and I felt like this one struggled to stand on its own. There were several plot holes that seemed to rely on background knowledge from the earlier books, which made it harder to stay fully invested. Overall, though, it was a light and fun read with charming touches.

Molly Harper is one of my favorite romance authors, and once again she did not disappoint! Each book in the Starfall Point series is better than the last, and Never Been Witched was by far my favorite of the series.

Shy, quiet Alice took a backseat in the first two books, but I loved getting to read her story and see her come out of her shell and find the love she deserves.

I am forever and always a Molly Harper fan and can’t wait to see what she comes out with next!

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Never Been Witched is a perfect blend of magic, romance, and humor. The family dynamics and worldbuilding make the series shine, and this installment is both funny and heartfelt.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced reader copy of this book!

This was my first book in the series but it definitely seems like you need to read all of them to really understand. I liked Collin in the beginning of the book but ended up not liking him towards the end. And then I felt the opposite about Alice. A little hard to get into but still a fun story!

Molly Harper did it again, bringing her wonderful sense of humor and heartwarming characters to life one chapter at a time! Please tell me we will see more of Starfall Point!

Never Been Witched is the third book in Molly Harper's Starfall Point series. Each book has gotten better and better and I love seeing the growth of the characters as they become more confident and bonded. Alice and Collin are amazing together but she is no pushover and doesn't put up with any BS. Alice has finally realized that she deserves to be number one. I have a feeling we haven't seen the end of this saga and I say sign me up!

I think I would have enjoyed this book much more had I read the previous books in this series. So I plan to do that this fall and then listen to the book again after reading the book.
I have a bit of a hard time reviewing this one, but I will do the best I can.
I felt a bit distracted with all of the characters in the book; it could be me, maybe I just couldn't focus enough to really enjoy all of them.
The plot was semi-structured, but I did feel like I was missing something important to the plot of this book because I had not read the first two. Typically, I can pick up a book from a series and it can read as a standalone because the story stands for itself. However, I did not feel that was the case in this book. The pace was great; it was a quick read and didn't have lulls.
Alice and Collin seem like good characters - I don't think they developed much during this book because I think they may have developed some in the previous books. Their relationship did grow; you could see the growth, but I didn't find them entirely engaging.
I recommend reading the first two books prior to reading this book, or you may be left with a feeling like you missed something, much like I did.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for the opportunity to read and review this book!
Will update you all after my re-read this fall!
Happy Reading!

Plot: 5/5

Blurb:

"Amid magical shenanigans...this book might just have you laughing out loud." —Hazel Beck for Witches Get Stuff Done

Shy, sunshiney small-town antiques expert and full-time witch-slash-ghost wrangler catches feelings for the charming, perfectly polished customer in an expensive suit as they work together to renovate his family's historic (and definitely haunted) hotel.

Alice Seastairs is in a precarious position for a witch—isolated from her coven and regretting a lot of her choices. Keeping herself from her sisters is the only way she can protect them from a threat only she knows is coming. While Alice should be searching for the final missing Welling locks and protecting the ghostly residents of Shaddow House, she distracts herself with a job offer from Collin Bancroft. Handsome, surprisingly sweet and filthy rich, Collin needs her expertise to restore his historic Duchess Hotel from the previous owner's ghastly citrus-toned taste. Little does he know, Alice is also the perfect consultant for what to do when you discover a ghost running nightly through the hotel hallways. Spoiler alert: The solution is almost always late night snacking and smooching.

The weight of Alice's secrets only gets worse when her manipulative grandparents threaten to ruin her relationship with Collin. And because her life isn't complicated enough, Collin's delusional ex walks back into his life like she never left. And then there's the minor problem of an ancient magical family trying to take over Shaddow House, using the ghosts within for who-knows-what to further their nefarious agenda. Alice can only avoid her coven for so long before they come looking for her… She could really use a friend—or a house full of family, both living and dead.

Will Alice break from generational toxic patterns and claim the joy that she deserves? A witch doesn't kiss and spell...

USA Today bestselling author Molly Harper's romances are perfect for readers looking for:

*witchy magic and ghostly companions

*a cozy small-town setting

*laugh-out-loud humor and hijinks

*a coven full of best friends that are like sisters

*light mystery

My Thoughts:

It’s giving a lighter and airier episode of Charmed. Tell my why I started this series with the 3rd book because I am obsessed. This had the perfect spooky mystery vibes, just in time for my 2025 fall reading list compilation. I need to go back and read books one and two. Supposedly this is the final book in the series but that is just unacceptable, you must reconsider Molly! Romance-wise, this book isn’t very steamy but the storyline and the writing stand strong enough that you don’t miss it. While Alice does share a budding romance with millionaire hotelier Collin, this leans more towards sweet than steamy. I take no issue with that, I love a witchy romance with or without smut. There is quite a large cast of characters that you’d be more familiar with if you’d read the first two books because two of Alice’s other coven members have their own book in the series. That being said, you can read this book without feeling like you’ve missed some large plot point. There’s tons of ghosts, witches, witches doing witchy things and mysterious stuff happening. In the midst of all of that, Alice has some truly terrible grandparents to deal with in addition to her ex AND Collin’s. I can promise you that you will not be bored! If you love witchy romances like I do, this is a CANNOT MISS!

Molly Harper’s Never Been Witched, the third installment in the Starfall Point series, brings together witches, ghosts, and a touch of romance in a charming small-town setting. The setup is delightfully quirky: antiques expert and witch Alice Seastairs wrangles ghosts, renovates a haunted hotel, and awkwardly navigates her coven troubles—all while managing her growing feelings for Collin Bancroft.

What works well: Harper’s blend of quirky humor and paranormal charm gives the story a fun, light-hearted feel. The premise—ghostly hijinks meets renovation romance—is entertaining, and Alice’s journey of self-acceptance amid family pressure brings emotional grounding. Plus, for readers who enjoy cozy paranormal romance, the setting is a definite draw.

But it’s not without its flaws. Some pacing issues crop up, especially with a sense of disjointedness in the story. It’s almost like it was longer but was edited so much that major connections between plot points were erased. A few plot elements also rely heavily on recapping earlier books in the series, which may bog down the story for new readers of the series.

.And while the central romance has its sweet moments, I found Collin sometimes lacked emotions—his reactions occasionally felt too mild, especially given the dramatic undertow of exes and past trauma.

Overall, Never Been Witched is an enjoyable read for fans of light paranormal romance looking for humor and charm. But if you're looking for enter pacing or more intensity in the romance, this might leave you wanting just a bit more.

I originally listened to this book on audible and fell in love with the characters Alice and Collin the most!

I've loved the whole Starfall Point series and I can't wait to see more from Molly Harper in the future as I love the witchy cozy vibes!

Never Been Witched by Molly Harper is the third book in the Starfall Point Series. Alice works at her grandparents antique store in her small-town while also navigating life as a witch and member of a coven. Collin is the attractive and rich man who has relocated to Starfall Point after buying his families hotel, hoping to restore it to its former glory. There are a lot of funny and sweet moments in this novel and I loved the magical, ghostly vibes. I have not read the first two books in the series and I would suggest that readers do so as it was difficult to piece together some information that was being talked about. I loved the relationship and banter with Alice and Collin, as well as the relationships Alice forms with the ghosts.

Thank you to NetGalley, Sourcebooks Casablanca, and the author for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Firstly, thank you NetGalley for an advanced e-arc of Never Been Witched.

Now into the fray.

I wish this whole series had kind of gone back to be reworked before hitting book format. Where the audiobook is carried by very talented voice narrators, the books don't carry themselves well without those engaging voices telling you the story.

Never Been Witched follows Alice, one third of the Shaddow House Coven, and is also the conclusion of the Shaddow House story. Alice comes from a very sheltered and abusive background and her getting her own love and story sounded lovely honestly. I thought the first two books were okay but again really needed more work in the writing. Unfortunately the same was true for the third book.

The author has this really bad habit of people having knowledge that feel like lazy writing, the love interests are very insta-love (but also in Alice's case not at the same time? it's weird and confusing). At the end of the book if felt no connection to the story or the characters. I also didn't feel like the love story was really love at the end, there is nothing wrong with them not being together if it was written as such, but the author wrote the book intending this to be end goal. It made for very sloppy and at times jarring writing.

The sad part is I love the idea of the story. I love Plover as a character, but that may be due to his personality feeling very Giles-esque from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The idea of a ghost house that is being guarded by a witch to prevent a corrupt family using them as tools was really cool. It was a really interesting blend of the tv shows Ghost and Ghost Whisperer, however I wish there had been more development to allow it to have it's own charm and stand as it's own story.

I don't think I will continue with Molly Harper after this. AS much as I like her ideas I think the actually writing of the story needed far more work.

Thank you to NetGalley, Molly Harper, and Sourcebooks Casablanca for this eARC! I was so happy to finally read Alice’s love story after enjoying the first two books in this series.

At first it’s a very slow burn, with a lot of exposition to explain the plot, and then BAM! Things escalate quickly between Alice and Collin, and their physical chemistry is fast and hot!! 🔥

But overall, this book is more focused on the plot. This is a great continuation of the first two stories of the Starfall Point series. The mystery in this one was interesting and kept me reading, and I really liked the great addition of the two teens being in the mix of this. This book does well wrapping up all of the Shaddow House mysteries very well, and the epilogue was especially heartfelt. ❤️

That ending paragraph was so ominous! What does it mean?! I can only hope we continue to get more books in this series, but this book felt overall like this was the satisfying end in a very fun and enjoyable trilogy!!
