This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was fun, fast-paced and I didn't want to put it down. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.

3.75⭐️ - Never Been Witched, and all of Starfall Point, is the perfect cozy, witchy & ghosty book for spooky season. This books follows Alice Seastairs and Collin Bancroft. Alice is a witch who hasn’t yet figured out her powers and her place in the coven. She’s also grappling with secrets she has been keeping. Collin has moved back to the island to reinvent the family hotel. Alice helps him with finding antique pieces for the redecoration of the hotel and Collin ends up being around when witchy stuff starts to happen.
I really enjoyed Collin and Alice’s story. Not only did they grow in their relationship with each other, but they also both grew as individuals and really came into their own. My favorite characters in this series are Mina, Josh, and Plover, and I loved how much they were featured in this book. I only gave this book a 3.75 because it wasn’t my favorite of the two I’ve read (Big Witch Energy) and the magical elements could be confusing at times (although that could be because I started reading this series at book 2 and still need to go back and read book 1). Overall, I definitely recommend this book & series to anyone who wants a cozy romance with a witchy mystery.

Never Been Witched by Molly Harper was a fun read! I enjoyed getting to see Alice’s POV and meeting Colin. It’s always nice to go back to Shadow House and the Coven. Alice’s character arc was really well done, with some fun twists and surprises. Overall, a light, entertaining read with the usual Harper humor and wit. Definitely recommend!

A super sweet, cozy, fall read! I highly recommend this if you like quick reads that feel like a warm hug

Loved reading the mesmerizing and spellbinding paranormal story. Alice, one of the resident witches, agrees to help Colin, the handsome, rich man with his renovations, Alice's grandparents don't want Alice to have anything to do with him. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read riveting story by the phenomenal author, Molly Harper.

Never Been Witched is a contemporary romance filled with ghosts, witch best friends, a cozy small town & a bit of mystery! NBW is book #3 in the Starfall Point series, I have not read book #1 or book #2 & I was able to follow along easily. Though I do recommend starting with book #1 so you have a better understanding of the previous history that is brought up in book #3.
Never Been Witched is my first “cozy fall” read of the year & it did not disappoint! The ghosts & ghouls of the book were “scary” but not by horror terms, more like the spooky decor you search for in Home Goods or TJ Maxx. I loved it!
Our FMC Alice Seastairs has magic, can see/talk to ghosts & is a part of a Coven with her best friends. At the beginning of our journey she is distant & struggling to be honest with her coven about a mistake she made that indirectly hurt her coven. She is also running her *terrible* grandparents antique store. (WHICH I LOVED, if you've ever watched the Ghost Whisperer it gave me the same vibes.)
Our MMC Collin Bancroft is a millionaire who just bought the hotel he was fascinated with as a child. Growing up with similar family loss & living with a family who doesn't actually appreciate or love you, only what they can gain from you, Collin is finally separating himself from those that hold his past against him. Collin begins renovating the hotel to bring back its original charm & seeks the advice & help from our FMC Alice in selecting the perfect antique pieces for each room.
This is where Alice discovers that something terrible is lurking in the hotel's hallways. Collin & Alice work together with her coven to get to the bottom of what dark energy is causing the never ending looping shadows in the Duchess Hotel.
If you're looking for a cozy but spooky fall read this is a good place to start, the romance was calm & kind of cheesy but I still enjoyed it. The friendships are truly what I loved so much about this book, you can really tell how much each friendship means to each character. The mystery was also interesting, it wasn't so high stakes that you're stressed out but enough to keep you thoroughly entertained.
Overall I would recommend Never Been Witched & I will probably pick up the first two books in the Starfall Point series this Fall season.
Thank you so much to Molly Harper & SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca & NetGalley for the eARC & the opportunity to read this book!

Thank you NetGalley!
This was an OK reading for me. I might be in fault here, since this is the first book in the series I read, I guess I would have been less lost at first if I had read the rest so I would have enjoyed the start more.
I didn't truly connect with the main character but I enjoyed the ghosts and the atmosphere, also I liked that the book shows that being blood related doesn't mean someone has to be in your life.

I think this might be my favorite of the series. There was everything I loved from the previous books - humor, magic, mystery, romance, sass, cozy but this one just felt a bit more than the previous. Maybe its because I loved both Alice and Colin and their character development and depth was just unmatched. I love how Harper can balance the darker story line, but still keep the humor and cozy feeling that it didn't slip to horror or too dark despite some darker plots than previous. You can also tell that Harper is familiar with the area because the Michigan location shines - which I think the location is a huge part of getting cozy books just right. I loved this and hope this isn't the last for Shaddow House and Starfall Point residents. Like the ghosts, I'm not ready to leave yet either.

Such a cute read with magic, ghosts, witches and murder mysteries!
Collin and Alice were both kind of outcasts looking for family and a sense of belonging. Their problems and personalities were realistic - Alice struggled with self-esteem and Collin with standing his ground. They were both sweet and had good character growth, and I felt their insta-lust to "love" pipeline was entertaining. However, the romance wasn't my favourite part of this book (the ghosts and found family aspect were). This perhaps was down to the pacing, which felt pretty slow in the beginning but significantly picked up in the last 100 pages.
Overall it was a good read, and I would recommend to people looking for a fun, witchy read.

Thank you Molly Harper for providing this ARC of Never Been Witched in exchange for an honest review.
Summary:
A magical romcom set on a small island brimming with charm, mischief, and a hint of danger. Even without reading the first two books in the series, this was easy to follow… though it left me wanting to go back and see where it all began.
Honest review:
This was such a cute and easy read that I polished off in 24 hours. I might have started at book three, but the story was welcoming enough that I never felt lost, just curious about all the little hints of past adventures. The small island town setting felt cosy yet alive, and I loved how the coven members interacted - their mix of support, sass, and meddling was spot-on.
The antique shop scenes with the grandparents? Incorrigible and impossible to forgive, yet so vividly written that they left a lasting impression. On the lighter side, the demon hamster (yes, really) named Chester was an unexpected delight and might just be my favourite side character in a while.
Collin and Alice had fantastic chemistry and some genuinely swoon-worthy moments, even if a few scenes felt a tad rushed. The plot moved quickly, blending humour, romance, and a touch of the supernatural in a way that kept me turning the pages. All in all, it was a warm, witchy romp that made me smile and has firmly secured the first two books of the series on my TBR.

3.75stars-NEVER BEEN WITCHED is the third instalment in Molly Harper’s contemporary, adult STARFALL POINT paranormal, mystery series. This is thirty-five year old, witch Alice Seastairs, and hotelier Collin Bancroft’s story line. NEVER BEEN WITCHED can be read as a stand alone but for backstory and cohesion, I recommend reading the series in order as there is an ongoing premise throughout.
SOME BACKGROUND: Months earlier, witch Riley Everett inherited a haunted mansion known as Shaddow House, on Starfall Point, in the Upper Peninsula of Northern Michigan, where she will meet a coven of witches, each with different powers. Each successive generation of witches is tasked with housing/collecting and locking down an assortment of items attached or possessed by its’ late user, eventually housing the antiquities at Shaddow House, where the ghosts of the past will ‘live’ out their ghosthood until it is time to move on.
Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Alice and Collin) NEVER BEEN WITCHED follows in the wake of the return and arrival of Collin Bancroft to resume control of the historic Duchess Hotel, previously owned by his late ancestors but Collin never expected to come face to face with Alice Seastairs, in his search for historical oddities and antiquities for Starfall Point island hotel. Alice Seastairs works at her grandparents’ island shop but her life is about to implode with their arrival , and the arrival of several more ghosts. Collin and Alice’s families have a tempestuous history, and in this, our heroine finds herself on the outside looking in as the reality of the supernatural becomes dangerous and dark. Lives are threatened, secrets are revealed, and old loves, desperate to be reunited, reveal a chilling tale of murder and greed.
The world building is detailed and complex as the number of ghosts grows as the coven begins to unearth the truth. Hidden locks and magical powers combine to reveal hundreds of years of madness and death.
The relationship between Alice and Collin begins as a business arrangement turned friendship and more. Collin finds himself pulled between what was and what may be, and in this, Alice is once again, on the outside looking in until Collin comes to terms with his past, betrayal and greed. There are no $ex scenes, everything is implied.
The colorful and supernatural secondary and supporting characters include the return of Alice’s coven: Riley (Edison), Caroline (Ben); ghost mentor and house butler Bert Plover; fountain ghost Eloise; bureau ghost Arthur; attorney Clark Graves; an assortment of ghosts both good and evil, as well as Ben’s children Mina and Josh, handyman Cole, and the introduction of Collin’s hotel assistant Julie, his insufferable ex fiancée Paige, and grieving ghosts Victoria and Samuel. The appearance of Alice’s questionable grandparents Franklin and Marilyn Proctor push Alice towards a different future, and into the arms of our story line hero.
NEVER BEEN WITCHED is a story of magic and murder, power and control, betrayal and vengeance, friendships and family. The character driven premise is entertaining and captivating; the romance is limited , the palpable sexual attraction is missing. The characters are magical and determined.

I enjoyed this book! But I was left a little confused at times, but then I released this was the third book of a series so it then made sense,
It is a standalone story but some plot points from previous books are mentioned which would have made more sense if the previous two had been read first.
That being said I loved the vibes of the book, the romantic plot along with the witchy/ghost elements
I enjoyed the characters too especially Plover and Arthur
Il defo look to go read the first 2 novels in this series now!

This was a super fun and low stakes addition to the series full of ghosts and antiques. I really enjoyed the relationship that built between the female main character and the main character that was founded on safety and trust. The dynamic between Alice and her grandparents was very similar to the MMC and his aunt and uncle. It was very interesting to see two people from wildly different backgrounds still have core similarities that they could understand and relate to and build a solid relationship around. The cameos of the ghosts and their back stories was a fun plotline to follow and figure out what was going on with the coven.

Never Been Witched is one of those stories that makes you want to curl up with a blanket and a mug of something warm. It’s got that perfect mix of small-town cosiness, a dash of magic, and enough quirky humour to keep you grinning.
Alice, who juggles being an antiques expert and a ghost wrangler (as you do), ends up teaming up with Collin Bancroft to breathe new life into his family’s historic—and yes, haunted—hotel. Between their playful back-and-forth, some late-night ghostly interruptions, and a slow-blooming attraction, the romance feels light, fun, and a little swoony.
Collin turns out to be much more than the smooth, wealthy guy he seems at first, and Alice’s warmth and quick wit make her a heroine you can’t help but root for.
This isn’t a high-drama, edge-of-your-seat kind of romance—it leans more into charm, humour, and a feel-good vibe. If you’re in the mood for a magical small-town story with eccentric side characters, a hint of mystery, and plenty of heart, this one’s worth picking up.

This is the third book in the series and concludes some of the plot points of the first two books so I'd recommend reading them first. This story is full of Witches, hauntings, magical antiques, family drama, murder mystery, historical freuds, a delusional ex-girlfriend, evil elderlys and a killer ghost hamster. this is the perfect read for spooky season if you like witches, ghosts sprinkled with romance
Thank you NetGalley, the author Molly Harper and the publisher Sourcebooks for the eArc.

I enjoyed the characters, mostly the ghosts and learning about their stories. Some of the banter was enjoyable (particularly from the Plover and Arthur, couldn’t get enough of them). That part was creative and had me smiling.
The plot was harder to enjoy. Sometimes, there were chapter that skipped over several weeks, which for the characters is fine and makes sense in the romantic part of the story. But it led me not to really care about the romance because I didn’t get invested in it.
The locks plot also wasn’t super developed within this story, so it was a little rushed at the end. It felt like it was kind of thrown in to continue the plot from the previous stories, not a natural continuation.
I did appreciate that Collin wasn’t perfect and struggled with making decisions of his past. And that Alice struggled with separating herself from her sisters. That felt like a valid struggle, especially from what happened in the previous stories.

It was a lovely surprise. Initially, I was a little confused, as I hadn't read the first two books. After chapter 3, I couldn't put it down.
Lots of plots that made the story interesting and dynamic.
The couple was adorable, they grew together and became more independent.
The ghosts were fun, I loved Plover and Arthur.

Never Been Witched is a cozy and whimsical paranormal romance brimming with magic, witches, sisterhood and tragically interesting ghosts set in a small town on an isolated island.
This is the final installment of Starfall Point, an interconnected standalone series, about three witches who manage a house of haunted antiques (and the ghosts attached to them) on a tiny island in Michigan. When Alice is offered a job by a handsome stranger to restore the island’s haunted hotel and solve some dangerous ghostly issues, her magical secrets become threatened and her coven must step in to protect the island from dark magic and unruly ghosts.
This was such a fun read. Between all of the charming characters, magic, messy family dynamics and haunting mysteries, this story really held my attention. I especially loved the sassy ghosts and the tension filled strangers to lovers romance. It had great banter and lots of humor. I highly recommend this if you are looking for something sweet, spicy and magically whimsical.
Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for a copy of this ARC!

I didn’t realize this was third book in a series. I did not read the other two. I was a bit lost. This book was cute though. I just wish I had more context.
