¿y hechiza?

It's very easy to take a premise like this and completely ruin it. That's why I started reading this book with a lot of trepidation. However, within the first twenty pages, I was captivated. I love the perspective of two characters coming together to fix a place, but there was an added bonus here: the haunted thing... It was very fun and lighthearted, and I'll definitely read more by this author.
Thank you NetGalley and the author for the eARC.

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a fun plot that kept me reading. Great for spooky season.

Alice is a witch isolated from her coven to protect her sisters from a threat that only she knows. She distracts herself with a job from Collin-rich hotel owner.

Terrific mystery and romance. Love the magical world too. Just as fun as the other 2 books in the earlier series.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy this but I think that’s because I didn’t realise it was part of a series till I made my Goodreads review.

The premise was good but the story just fell flat to me which was mainly due to the writing. Writing is a big thing for me and if I can’t enjoy that then unfortunately I won’t enjoy the rest of the book.

I could see a world where I’d adore a book like this but unfortunately it fell flat for me.

Never Been Witched by brilliant wordsmith Molly Harper, published by Sourcebooks Bloom Books is the third book in the Starfall Point Series. The previous books are Witched Get Stuff Done, Riley and Edison's story and Big Witch Energie, Caroline, Ben and his kids' story.
Never Been Witched can be read as a stand alone, but there are crossovers and for best reading experience I recommend to read the books in order.
This is Alice and Collin's story.
Alice Seastairs is the manager of her grandparents antique shop. Collin Bancroft is the new hotel owner and has his work laid out for him. And while their familes are in a feud for a very long time, Collin pretty quick falls for quiet sweet Alice.
To make the story even twistier, all three friends build a coven, can interact with ghosts, can see and speak with them.
This book is a typical Molly Harper novel. The story sucks the reader into its pages, the writing is witty, fun and quirky. Reading this book was like visiting an old friend that I know for many, many years.
I recommend this gem of a story that deserves all the stars.

REVIEW
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏼🧙🏻‍♀️
THINGS I LIKED
1. The FMC was okay, and I admired her wealth of knowledge.
2. The MMC was okay, and I liked what he was doing with the Diamond Hotel
3. The Witch coven and Shaddow house
4. The hint of mystery. It was nice
🧙🏻‍♀️👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏼
THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE
1. Both the MCs were kinda immature when dealing with important situations, Alice with her grandparents; Collin with Paige. Like, just deal with it already!
2. I liked the MCs separately, but I didn't really feel relationship vibes between them.
3. The chapters were too long, and the book too. It would have been better with fewer pages
👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏼🧙🏻‍♀️
The book was okay. I liked some parts. It's a part of a series, but I wasn't confused.

Book 3 in the series. It’s recommended that you read the other two as the characters and references won’t make a lot of sense. This book follows the third og member of the coven, Alice. She works at her awful grandparents’ antique shop. There, she meets Collin, the new owner of the Duchess hotel. Collin grew up on the island when his wealthy family would vacation there. After witnessing a bad interaction between Alice and local smarmy lawyer Clark, Collin offers her a job sourcing antiques for the hotel’s makeover. During the hunt for furniture, Alice discovers a ring connected to their families, and the ghosts attached to the ring. Like the first two stories, Alice and Collin must figure out the history of the ring. Also, a resolution about the locks comes into play in this story. I consider these books more cozy paranormal romances than anything. This book had a closed door spice scene that’s easy to skip. If you’ve read the first two books, you’ll enjoy this one.

Thank you, Sourcebooks Casablanca, for providing this book for review consideration through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are solely my own.

*♡Thank you to Molly Harper, Sourcebooks Casablanca and Netgalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion♡*
This was such a charming and cozy read! Never Been Witched had all the magical small-town vibes I love, complete with quirky characters, witchy mischief, and a sweet dash of romance. Molly Harper’s humour shines through as always, and I found myself smiling more than once at the banter and magical chaos.

It’s a great pick if you’re after something light-hearted with a sprinkle of supernatural fun. Perfect for when you want a bit of magic without too much drama!

Arc Review !!

Tropes: witches/ghosts, small-town, mystery with a dash of murder, slight romance

Such a cute read with witchy magic and a ghost-filled mystery with a dash of murder. I ate this book up so fast and it has honestly set the pace for more paranormal books in my future. I didn't realize this was the third book in the series when I first requested and while I was missing some character context, it didn't really hinder my reading experience.

Thank you NetGalley for the e-ARC!

I did not know this was the third book in the series when I started reading it, and although it would have been better if I had read the first two books first, I was able to follow along with the story. It was a cute story with lots of different layers, a witchy coven, murders, crazy grandparents, crazy ex’s, secrets, ghosts, basically anything you would want in an entertaining spooky, cozy, witchy book. I loved watching Alice gain more and more of her gumption and voice and love that she learns how to stick up for herself. Collin takes a bit longer to find his backbone, when he does so in style, with help from the friendly neighborhood housekeeping staff. I am very glad that more than one happy couple got their well earned happily ever after. After reading this book, I’m for sure going to go back and read the first two books in this series.

This book felt like a cinnamon latte with a little chaos mixed in. Cozy, witchy, a bit haunted, and totally charming.

Alice Seastairs has been living in self imposed exile from her coven, running an antiques shop and wrangling the odd ghost that comes attached to someone’s grandmother’s dresser. She’s shy, sunshiney, and very much the kind of heroine who would rather quietly fix things in the background than take centre stage. But then Collin Bancroft walks in, all polished suit and “I just inherited a crumbling historic hotel,” and suddenly Alice’s quiet life is anything but.

What I loved?
* The banter. Alice and Collin together are adorable. There’s a slow build here that makes every interaction feel like a spark in a haunted room.
* The ghosts. I mean, late-night snacking and smooching as a way to deal with hauntings? Perfection.
* The family drama. Toxic grandparents, coven politics, and an ex-girlfriend who sweeps in like a storm. Alice really can’t catch a break.

This book balances romance and supernatural mystery so well. One minute I was giggling at Alice trying to keep Collin from noticing the hotel’s ghost problem, and the next there’s an ancient magical family threatening to take everything she loves. The stakes are higher than ever for Shaddow House, and I was hooked the whole way through.

Collin himself? A golden retriever in a suit. He’s sweet, protective, and just patient enough to wait while Alice figures out how to choose herself (and him) for once.

This is the finale to the Starfall Point trilogy, and it feels like one big hug at the end, haunted hallways and all.

If you like:
* Cozy paranormal small towns
* Witches with a heart of gold
* Haunted hotels that need a little love
* Romantic tension that sneaks up on you
…this one is a delight.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy of this book. I'm pretty much only a physical reader but when this was released as audio only last year I couldn't wait and listened to it. I didn't realize this when I requested the arc I was so excited thinking there was a new book in the series.

I've read other books from Molly and it's always fun, so I jumped into this one without reading the synopsis.

I liked Alice and Collin. They're both really good people looking to belong. There's a huge cast of characters in this story and while they were fun, they were (and remained) strangers.

Plot wise, it was okay. This story definitely felt like the continuation of a series and I thought it was more of a companion type book. There were a lot of moving pieces and no real history was repeated; I was expected to know what was going on.

Overall, the characters were a lot of fun and I enjoyed reading the relationship evolve the way it did. Might just have to go back to read the previous books to make sense of this one.

**Huge thanks to the publisher for providing the arc free of charge**

I loved this next installment in the Starfall Point series! The cast of characters is so fun (I’m a Plover stan), and they’re all written so well they have very distinct voices and motivations. I thought Alice was a very well-done, complex character. Her journey in learning to stand up for herself was inspiring, and I am a huge fan of her revenge schemes. The pacing was great, and the plot was highly entertaining!

This book had a really cozy and magical vibe that I enjoyed a lot. Alice was a sweet character, and I liked seeing her become stronger and finally take control of her life. Her connection with Colin was cute and felt natural, and I appreciated how he accepted all the witchy stuff without drama. The island setting was fun as always, and the side characters, even the ghosts, made everything feel alive. Overall, it was a nice mix of mystery, romance, and a bit of spooky fun. I gave it 4 stars because I liked it a lot. Thank you so much to the author, Sourcebooks Casablanca and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read the book in advance, I received this for free and I'm leaving an honest review.

Never Been Witched was such a cute little witchy mystery! I didn't realize this was the third book in the series, which didn't impede my reading whatsoever, and cannot wait to dive into the rest of the series!
