I really enjoyed the first half of this book. The banter and the cozy spooky element to their destined relationship was great. For me, the book went downhill once they got engaged and married right away. I was getting a little tired of the reassuring I love you’s and the word pumpkin. While I enjoyed the spice, it did feel like that was all they did in the last 25% of the book.

I love Lyra, and I love her crossovers with other characters in her different series. But this one...was just off the mark for me. The way this relationship starts is very aggressive and hostile, and not in a cute enemies to lovers way, in a weirdly over the top dickish way. Zane was hard for me to wrap my mind around, he was a love sick jerk who doesn't believe in love but falls in love so much he's been engaged multiple times? The ending also felt long and could have tied up much faster.

Wow. I can’t believe how good this book was. I picked it up because the cover was WAY too pretty not to. But the book lived up to the high expectations I had for it. Absolutely incredible. It was like Pumpkin Spice in a book! The small town sounded beautiful and added to the storyline so well. The tension? Incredible! An amazing story!

I really loved how Fall I Want started out, it was peak fall cozy vibes with small town charm. The setup had me hooked: somewhat enemies to lovers (not really enemies but started off on a bad foot), fake dating, a golden retriever MMC, and a fall setting. I was fully on board for Autumn and Zane’s chemistry and all the flirty, slow burn energy.
But once they fell in love, about halfway through, it started to feel like the book just…kept going without anything new happening. It’s super sweet and romantic, but by that point, it felt like we’d already reached the happily ever after, and the rest of the book was just reading about how in love they are over and over again. It got repetitive
If you’re in the mood for an easy, fall themed read that leans heavy into cozy vibes, and a couple that’s very into each other, this might work for you. It’s cute, but for me, it just could’ve wrapped up a lot sooner.
Thank you NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager | Avon a for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
This book is available now on KU, but a very cute edition with sprayed edges releases on August 19, 2025.

Autumn, a resident of Cozy Hollow, has been dreaming of this mystery man for years. One day while working at the local coffee shop, who walks in? None other than her mystery dream man himself.
What ensues is a fake dating (that is honestly low stakes because the author doesn’t dwell on that part of the plot at all) character driven romance, that is no-plot-just-vibes. It also has some magical realism where some characters are almost psychics and believe in magic and stuff!
I don’t know how I feel about this book. On one hand some parts were fun, but then on the other it read like a wattpad story, and it was so insta-lovey that I just didn’t understand where the plot went.
Our mmc Alex was mean to our fmc Autumn at the very beginning for quite literally the dumbest reason ever. But then he changes his mind after one conversation with his sister & started being nice and expected her to just play nice too.
It was super cheesy, cringey & hallmark-y. It gave small town vibes, billionaire romance & insta-love. It definitely is a book you would want to read in the Fall. But I would recommend it if you want a no-plot-just-vibes type of book and like the previous mentioned tropes! It just wasn’t for me 🙃

I loved the first half of this book! It gave perfect fall vibes, but the second half of the book kinda fell off for me personally! I still would def recommend! It did give the cozy fall vibe.

Set in the fictional ski resort town of Cozy Creek, Colorado, barista Autumn instantly feels a connection to the stranger ordering a pretentious coffee drink one September morning. Why does this Alexander seem to match perfectly with Mr. Dreamy, the man she has been dreaming of for years? After their meet cute goes wrong, he shows up again and again, with sparks flying each time.
Perfect fluffy fall romance, definitely gave me Tessa Bailey vibes! This is my first by this author, and I enjoyed how she was able to bring so much lightness while also covering heavy topics (grief, loss, forgiveness). There is a sense of magic that could have easily pulled this into a completely unbelievable story, but the author made it still grounded even with the fast pace nature of their romance.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for this eARC!

Fall I Want was exactly what I needed! Autumn feels stuck and heartbroken. Zane feels deviated and lost. One magical moment fixed it all and helped them both find there biggest joy in life, each other. Between their adorable meet cute, they way these characters fell hard and fast, plus throw in a whole lot of sass and it was a book I couldn’t put down! Loved it! I felt like the story was an instant kind of romance where all the stars aligned. Where some books make it seem not believable this one made it feel even though it’s not totally believable you are so enthralled into the story you don’t even care!

I swear, Lyra Parish never misses when I need a romance that hits all the feels. She’s one of those authors I always go to when I need a comfort read with bite—and Fall I Want delivered exactly that.
What I loved most was the emotional depth tucked behind the spice. You get characters with real baggage, messy feelings, and growth that felt genuine. From the moment I met these characters, I was hooked. The chemistry was instant, but not rushed (thankfully, because insta-love is not my thing).
This was just an overall cute but spicy fall romance that I enjoyed reading. I can’t wait to finish the Cozy Creek Collection.

Overall, this ended up being a cute romance, but I can't say I was truly invested in or sold on their chemistry/romance, to be honest. I typically have no issue with insta-love, but this one felt kind of extra unrealistic to me, and it kind of took me out of the story and left me unable to fully invest.

The first 100 pages were really good and building a story/romance that I really enjoyed. Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes but this wasn’t truly fake dating when it was real to both partners from the beginning. It seems like it went to insta love and then billionaire romance very quickly. The first 100 pages felt disjointed from the rest of the novel. It became insta love with billionaire romance incredibly fast that the FMC became flat and one dimensional, she lost a little bit of her personality for the middle section of the book.

This book follows Zane Alexander, a brokenhearted billionaire who escapes to a small town to avoid drama with his ex. There, he meets Autumn, a coffee shop worker who has a terrible first impression with him. But after some unexpected bonding—and the sudden reappearance of Autumn’s ex—they decide to fake date.
I was instantly intrigued by the premise: a fall romance in a cozy small town, fake dating, a billionaire love interest—sign me up! Plus, there’s a special edition releasing in August 2025 with stunning sprayed edges, so definitely check that out.
Now, while I loved the idea of this story, the execution didn’t fully land for me. The tropes leaned more toward insta-love and fated mates, which made the fake dating setup feel more like real dating from the start. I also wish the exes played a bigger role—the drama potential was there, but their appearances were minimal and didn’t add much to the story.
At 416 pages, I expected a bit more tension or depth in the plot. That said, if you're in the mood for a light, low-angst read with lots of spice and a guaranteed happy ending, this might hit the spot.

Fall I Want is an adorable, fated romance set in the quintessential small-town of Cozy Creek. Autumn has had her dream man visit her in dreams since she was young, so when Zane walks into her coffee shop, she instantly recognizes him. The two have instant chemistry and decided to try being friends while fake-dating when confronted with their exes.
This was a fast paced, steamy read with lots of lovable side characters! I thoroughly enjoyed Autumn and Zane’s love story and can’t wait to see what else Cozy Creek has in store!
Read if you enjoy:
* Cute small town
* Billionaire MMC
* Fake dating
* Insta-love
* All the fall vibes
Thank you to Netgalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

It such a cute fall book! I love autumn and Zane story! Zane was such a sweetheart and that man was down bad for his girl!! I love him so much! It was a fast paced and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Lyra Parish does it again with her relatable quirky characters and the amazing storyline, I never had so many emotions reading a book before. I laughed, cried and cheered the whole time i read this book. Here's hoping Lyra don't leave us on read and makes this into a series!

Fall I Want is a cozy, spicy small-town romance that delivers all the fall vibes you could want—along with laugh-out-loud moments, sweet charm, and undeniable chemistry. It’s the perfect blend of heart and heat, set against the backdrop of a town bursting with autumn magic.
The story features a swoon worthy billionaire with a hidden soft side and a strong, relatable heroine who’s not looking for love but finds something real anyway. With fake dating, flirty tension, and moments that feel like warm cider on a chilly day, this romance is easy to get lost in.
It’s lighthearted, steamy, and full of heart all wrapped in a feel good package that leaves you smiling. If you love the “he falls first” trope, fake relationships, and small towns that feel like home, this is the perfect read for a cozy weekend in. A spicy, sweet escape you’ll fall for.

Autumn is shocked when the man that she's been dreaming about for years walks into her coffee shop, and even more surprised when he turns out to be a jerk. Alexander feels guilty for getting off on the wrong foot, and the two form an unlikely friendship, which turns into a fake dating situation to keep their exes away. But it doesn't stay fake for long!

It's not that this book was *bad* per se, it's just that it seemed to... never end? Pretty much the last 40% was just Autumn & Alexander (Zane) professing their love, banging constantly, & then asking each other if it is real life or not. The first part of the book was very enjoyable, but the second half could've been an email. If you love insta-love books & fall vibes this could definitely be the book for you!
Thanks so much to Netgalley, Avon & Harper Voyager, & Lyla Parish for an ARC of the Special Edition re-release of this book!! 🫶🏼

This is the perfect cozy fall read. It definitely has the spice!
Small town girl Autumn and rich billionaire guy Zane. Both have been through it in their past relationships. So many fall accents are in this book it makes you want to skip summer altogether. Can these two both overcome their past relationships and open up to each other? Or will they fight their inner feelings? This book just kept me smiling. The characters are adorable. The town sounds perfect. The spice is on point.
Wonderful fall read, especially if you love a good seasonal read!
Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager, and NetGalley for the chance to read this ebook.

Thank you NetGalley for this arc and into to Lyla Parish. I didn’t mind the writing, but the fake dating to marriage was too rushed and forced.

Unfortunately, I could not get myself into this one. The writing felt very juvenile and once the male main character started being unnecessarily mean to the female main character in order to keep her at a distance even though they’ve exchanged less than 10 words, I was out. Also there was just so much mention of magic and them being fated from both points of view and it was only chapter 4. It felt like there was going to be a big emphasis on all of that going forward, which simply isn’t for me.
